City Best Kebab in Hackney

I love the falafel wraps they do here. Friendly chatty staff. Chips not so great, but sometimes you just need some hot and nice junk food! Does the trick.

Tenía el donner de pollo, fue genial. Carne sabrosa y para ser honesto la ensalada en la parte superior era perfecto. Un bonito repollo rojo, pimientos recogidos, etc. ¡No tuve la habitual mañana horrible después de sentirlo tampoco!

You will be served by guys who know how to make a perfect kebab. The chicken Döner wrap is recommended however all the food looks top quality. Very good value for money, too.

Very bad customer service. They asked to move tables while eating and keep asking if we finished eating even 5 minutes after starting to eat.

Don;t be put off by the tacky name.This is no cheapo kebab shop - it's a proper Turkish grill house. We had a delicious meal for a ridiculously cheap price - in an area where prices in 'trendy' establishments can be over inflated.

We went there right in the first day for lunch after arriving to a London visit. We enjoyed the tasty meat and fresh salad. The kind of yoghurt sauce they offered really goes with the salad and meat all put together and it enhances the experience. They said the chips were on the house but charged us that.Despite that it only cost us only 22 pounds for the three of us and were quite pleased with the overall. I would recommend it for a quicj bite for those who do not wish fancy stuff.

As I arrived late to London during the start of my vacation, I tried to find somewhere to eat after midnight. I ended up here for some fast-food. Now I don't expect much from fast food at all, it's more of a convenient and affordable option when you need something quick to eat.I ordered the meat & chips. Unfortunately the meat lacked flavor and texture whatsoever, and the chips were soggy. Sure, you get what you pay for - but I am quite sure there are better places for kebab around in London.

This place is close to my office and is a great lunch option - The falafel platter (vegetarian) is excellent and really big in quantity - it has falafels, hummus, pita, salad and you can add different types of sauces for additional flavour. Apart from being huge in flavour, it is also very easy on the pocket. Service is always quick. Don't expect a posh restaurant service here.

Now this is a kebab shop, not haute cuisine. However, the food is excellent and three of us sat down for lunch, including drinks and coffee and I got change from £20 quid. What's not to like?

The man behind the counter was getting increasingly aggressive after he misheard me saying eat in instead of take away. When I politely asked for a bag he answered me back telling me that I mumbled and had said eat in. No customer contact or greetings whatsoever. I have never ever received such a bad customer service. I told them that I will tell everyone about my experience and will write a bad review. Hopefully this review will help someone to avoi this place.e after he misheard me saying

In all fairness - a kebab has always been a kebab to me - smother anything in enough Garlic Sauce and it will taste 'garlicy' .... that was what I got here. It did the job late at night. But I left wondering what on earth happened to the staff before I was there, it must have been terrible and they all seemed to blame me (or at least give that impression)They were rude and unfriendly - just shouting at you to make your decision quickly and get out immediately! ... it was like my money was the last thing they wanted in the whole world. I left really quite annoyed that I had paid for anything in there.I can't see myself doing that again unless every other Kebab shop in london closes down - which thankfully, is unlikely.

I wonder if Best City kebab has been certified by the Turkish military? The staff greeted me with a rigid attention as I was about to be executed by their firing squad so I quickly ordered my meat and and drink and they completed the order. No choice of salads of sauces just sit down shut up and do as you are told. 10 long minutes later my pitta plate of delight arrived, overcooked Lamb shish a couple of average sauces however, some surprisingly fresh sliced tomatoes, fresh chopped cucumber and succulent red cabbage. I won't hurry back though unless of course it's dark or after the pubs close.

I came across this place while on a course in London as it was very close to my accommodation. Service was great, portions were huge and you can get a beer and sit in and eat. If I am ever in the area again I am coming here to eat.

I love this place. Small and cheerful. There are around 6 tables for you to sit at and enjoy the great food. It's not just a takeaway. I find that the things that make a great kebab are the sauces used, the quality of the meat and good salad. All are great here and I try to get here twice a month at least.
