Best Indian Restaurant Been coming here for 11 years since opening. Staff are amazing and also the food. Place is always kept clean to a very high standard.Hence the 5 * rating.

Lovely Indian food. The restaurant does not sell alcoholic drinks but you can take your own. Lovely alcohol free selection of drinks available. Booking advisable.

My wife and I booked a table for this evening for our 3rd Wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was very calm and pleasant and the views of the beach are lush. As for the food, it is hands down the best Indian meal we have ever had. We had starters and a set meal and it was very reasonably priced and very generous portions! The whole restaurant was very clean and very nicely decorated. I think we have found our new favourite spot for food! 5* cannot recommend enough!

Great food , fresh and tasty. Very professional service. The buffet on Sundays are good maybe some different desserts.

Large portions, full of flavour and attentive staff! Serves excellent value for money and is perfect for any kind of outings: friends, family, couple etc.. Best enjoyed after a stroll along the lovely sandy beach on its doorstep.

Being a place we love to eat in, our return was all we hoped for after Lockdown. On entry to the restaurant one’s mind was put at rest with all the safety measures put in place.Our shared starter was delicious and so fresh. Our different main courses were so tasty and full of flavour.It was interesting to be offered a non alcoholic gin with tonic. It was a perfect beverage to have with one’s meal instead of coke or water.Each member of the team are professional and so attentive.This was the restaurant we chose to have our first meal in after all the Lockdown rules.

Cinnamon has been open now for 7 fantastic yearsNever been let down once!It's been a difficult period for many restaurants during the Covid out break but I must say this restaurant and its staff have done fantastic with the takeaway service offered.Everything carried out safely and food served to a high standard.I am very much looking forward to returning again to the cinnamon kitchen with family and friends.Thank you again for your 5 Star service over the last 7 years.

The takeaway meals we have had from here on two occasions were tasteless and very bland. I have been to the restaurant many times and the food has been lovely but takeaway food is not good.

Just had a delivery and it was cold,ok so I blast it in the micro, tastes awful so bland, worst curry I've ever had. Better and cheaper getting one from Morrison's. Never again.

All the food looks good, however tasteless and bland with no hint of traditional Indian flavouring.This is my second experience of dining at Cinnamon kitchen and again I have been left disappointed.A Tikka masala that didn't taste of anything in particular and a Tikka baltic that can only be described as tasting like the Masala, only a different colour.Also chicken in both had the consistency of rubber.All in all, extremely disappointed.

It was my birthday, and we were in the midst of the still-ongoing COVID-19 lockdown. I'd opted for a visit to Cinnamon Kitchen for my birthday, but that was a no-go. We therefore opted to have "Virtual Party", connecting to others via the internet.In order to do that, we requested a variety of meals, for a variety of addresses. MY daughter picked them up from Cinnamon's and ferried them to the three addresses before returning to her own house.What could have been disastrous, actually turned out quite well! the meals all met the extremely high standards I'd expect from this restarant (still the best Indian restaurant I've visited in the Swansea Bay area).Kudos, Cinnamon Kitchen! Your success is truly deserved!

Three of us ate here during a work visit. The poppadoms and pickles were good, with deep dishes of pickles and onions rather than the small ones you tend to get in most Indian restaurants that never have enough in them. For my main I had my standard for a 1st visit of a Pathia, although I had vegetable rather than the usual Chicken. It was fine, tasty and with a bit of a kick to it. The Saag Aloo and Saag Paneer sides we had were also good. The restaurant also had non-alcoholic lager, though at the time it was not on the drinks menu. An enjoyable meal.

Never lets us down , always a lovely meal service is fantastic and food is wonderful enjoy every time we go.

We visited the Sunday buffet yesterday, 5 adults and 2 kids and the food was delicious, there was a good range and something to suit everyone. The food was replenished constantly and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. And the view of the sea front was spectacular. The restaurant was open and welcoming. What's more, my son is under 5 so ate free! Highly recommended!

Eat here with a colleague whilst on business. Overall experience was very good as was the food. Reasonably priced and good quality. Will definitely return.

Booked a table here on Valentine's night - just wanting a nice meal somewhere. Being busy, we had to wait for our table for around 15/20 minutes despite booking. Food was delicious - both ordered off main menu. Starter and mains with sides. The Chicken Saag Balti was delicious. Also reasonable price for meal for 2 with drinks. We will definitely return.

We arrived very late and very hungry with a small baby in tow. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and the food was delicious. I had the vegetarian chef's special- it was the tastiest Indian meal I've had in a long time!

Called here after booking a table for 5.30. But was told needed to be out as table was needed for 7.30.Had saag aloo and pilau rice with Khanz Kazan with lamb aubergine. Friend had salmon and rice.Cobra pint was lovely but chico norte not so.Wish there was more choice on white wine by the glass bah french wine.Service was quite and professional and would go back.

Cinnamon Kitchen is located on the Port Talbot waterfront. Don't be put off by the simple exterior of the building: this is an excellent restaurant. The food is good, the staff are helpful and the service is quick. If you are in the port of Talbot and you love Indian cuisine, this restaurant offers competitive value for money

Arrived in Port Talbot as a stopover and went to find somewhere to eat nearby. We weren’t expecting much but came across this restaurant and went in - to find it full. They managed to sort out a table for 30 minutes time, which gave us time to check into the hotel down the road and walk back. The ambiance was good, the staff very friendly (and helpful, as above) and the meal was very nice - and reasonably priced, as was the wine list.Highly recommended if you happen to be passing by.

Called in on a Sunday evening, food was excellent as usual. Would recommend. Service was top notch as well.

It was the first time that I ordered food here for takeaway as my parents live around the corner in Aberavon. The service was really quick, the staff were lovely. It would have been nice if it was a bit hotter but the taste of it was great. Not your typical greasy Indian. Will be returning for sure. Value for money!

Staying at a nearby hotel for work and 5 of us decided to try this place. Quick phone call to reserve a table and sorted 20 mins later. Great service from the young guys out the front. Popadoms arrived quickly ... decent wines, and plenty of time to decide patient explanation of dishes, including for lactose / gluten free where they checked with chef what could be had. Fantastic fresh light Prawn Puree followed by a Chicken Scardu (with minced lamb). Tasted fantastic, reasonably priced and will be back even though we live 45 miles away

Brilliant evening with our grown up daughter who is vegetarian-every meal ordered was delicious and the service was great too

Having been to the restaurant on several occasions we chose this restaurant as the food is excellent. My husband phoned and booked a table on Sunday evening on our arrival it was extremely noisy with a large party of at least 20 people, we could not hear each other talking across the table. We were served the popadoms with chutney tray but before we had finished our main course arrived, the waiter did offer to take it away but one dish was a sizzling dish so we went ahead. The food was excellent. On speaking the manager he could not understand the difference in the noise level between a party of 20 people to having 10 couples or 5 groups of four. I did suggest that next time a couple book it maybe useful to inform them if there is a large party booked in, his response was that we should ask the question! Great food but overall spoilt our evening which was a birthday celebration.

What a fabulous meal we had!With one of us with a dairy allergy, eating out can cause anxiety.We rang at first to see if they catered for dairy allergies. The manager came to the phone and was very helpful. We were told to speak to him on arrival. Meals are cooked from scratch so adjustments can be made. When we arrived the manager personally dealt with our order having a clear understanding of what we couldn’t have and communicating dishes that were either dairy free or could be adjusted.To top it all, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS.The staff were polite and professional and service was swift and smooth.We are so happy to have found somewhere local that is not only safe but lovely too. Thank you!! I would highly recommend.

Been coming to the Cinnamon kitchen with friends and family for over 6 years since it opened.Staff,Service,Cleanliness,Quality of food all absolutely fantastic.Also with fabulous views of the aberavon sea front.With sunsets that will beat any in the world in summer and winter.Cant wait for my next visit!Mr Tucker.

Been here a few times for food with absolutely no problem but i do always eat the same choice every time.bargees chicken shashlik and saag rice nan bread.last week i ordered the same as a take away. When I got home the meal was so hot in what looked like a chilli sauce I had to drain all sauce away and luckily I had plain yogurt in the fridge to mix in with what remained.I should say that the meal eating in has no chillies and served on a skillet with no juice . The rice came as chopped saag only and no rice and that went straight into the bin

Can't rate this delightful restaurant highly enough, if you like Indian food you won't find better. You can eat fine food with a view looking out over aberavon beach, the guys are very friendly nothing is too much trouble for them. They also do great take away meals.

Bit of a mixed bag to be honest. We turned up for a family buffet. 5 adults and two children. As we did not book in advance we had to wait to be seated which was fair enough. The buffet selection was pretty standard overall, chips, curries, rice, nann breads etc. Some were hot and tasty. Others sadly were not. The Madras while nice, the sauce was a touch watery. Sadly the chips were cold, the chicken korma rather than coconut tasted of tomatoes and the poppadoms were excessively salty. I think there is a good restaurant there buried underneath a pretty bland Sunday buffet. On a positive note the staff were friendly and polite. In closing, try it but not on a Sunday.

A fabulous meal . Nothing is to much trouble and spotlessly clean . Will be visiting again in the near future

We had hold a get together at this place. Indian food was just not good at all. Preparation and presentation was a great turn off.. Not a good value for. Money restaurant.. Looking for Indian food this is not the right place to go.. .

A delicious range of indian foods served in a popular spot for locals and visitors. Friendly staff and good selection for all taste and good children's menu too.

Just had a meal (and not the first one) and the food was amazing. My sister has flown in from America and she was really impressed by the décor, as the décor in America is hideous (her words) and she does not eat out. Both my sister and my nephew said the food was better than what they have had previously in America and she has been living there for over 20 years. The food was really fantastic and all was enjoyed by all. I have recommend this restaurant to all I know and I will continue to come back for more.....yum :-)

Birthday bash table of eight. Food was good, some unusual dishes too. Staff were absolutely amazing when they found out it was my birthday I was spoilt. Lovely location overlooking the sea front would definitely return here. Everyone in my party enjoyed.

I went as part of a large group(50+) as pre arranged with the restaurant.The food arrived promptly,hot and well served by good natured staff which made it a lovely atmosphere on the sea front in the setting sun.It was my first occasion but I'm sure I will be back with my family soon.

Visited again with another group of people from Neath Port Talbot Stroke Group with 47 of us well catered for. Staff are brilliant and enjoyed the evening too. Great food in a real nice place. Top marks!

I’ve recently had food from this restaurant and it was delicious! I was so impressed and this will definitely be a place I will either go back to for food or have a takeaway. I would recommend that you try the food here.

Visited Cinnamon Kitchen while staying in Aberavon for two days. Enjoyed a delicious meal served by very friendly staff, who were keen to ensure everything was the best it could be for our evening. Food was well presented and very reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Visited with friends, excellent service, fabulous food with plenty of flavour. Didn’t feel rushed in between courses nor at the end of the meal when we sat and chatted. Very friendly, never had a bad meal both in restaurant and as take away.

First visit having received personal recommendation from friends. The service was prompt and we did not have to wait long for our meals. Our three main courses were excellent.There is a wide and varied menu, with many dishes I was not familiar with - in addition to the old favourites. I would have liked to have have seen more detail as to how hot the various dishes were - some were detailed but not all. It would have made my selection easier as I like to try different dishes, but also prefer hot food.

I recently visited this restaurant with friends and I wasn't blown away. The food was nice (I had a fish curry which was lovely) but the service left a lot to be desired. I was handed my steaming hot plate into my hands and when we asked the waiter TWICE to remove the bowl we had had our poppadoms in, to make more room, he laughed and said "no, you might want to finish them off, just leave it there". Twice. Not great.

The buffet didn’t offer much other than chicken and the food wasn’t hot or particularly well presented. The dessert had run out. Only 1 poppadum per person (which is silly because they are very cheap to offer) and the pickles weren’t great. Next time I would go for the a la carte instead.

Each and every time we visit this Indian restaurant we are always greeted warmly. This celebratory meal for 8 was gorgeous. Each meal ordered was different and yet each meal was delicious and tasty.

We Have visited the Cinnamon Kitchen Indian Restaurant a number of times and enjoyed each time. The food is very good with a good selection. The staff are all very friendly and polite.

The restaurant is well located and had a good reputation locally. On Sunday there is a reasonably priced budget but we both found there to be too much chicken. There were few vegetable curries and no other meat on offer. Like most budgetary temperature of the food was lukewarm to warm and a little bland for my palate. If I visit again I will have the a large carte menu - it looked very good!

Sunday buffet was practically non existent for choice and food was less than average, meats were dry and curries was runny if I could put it in to 2 words it would be DONT BOTHER

I've just visited the Cinnamon Kitchen for the first time with friends to celebrate a birthday.It is easy to find and lots of parking outside. We received a warm welcome and shown to a lovely table.The restaurant was busy and there was a lovely buzz and atmosphere. Plenty of staff were busy working ensuring everyone was happy.Drinks were served quickly & lots of choice on the menu.We all ordered our food & it was served on lovely hot plates. We all enjoyed, rice was beautiful and I had chicken damnask. We also took a birthday cake and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend. Thanks

The staff were not attentive. 4/5 members of staff working and not one came over to ask if we were happy with the food despite the restaurant having approx 8 people dining. We opted for the buffet. The choice was very limited, only allowed one poppadum each. The food tasted awful. No flavour, all 3 curries tasted the same. I would not return there again. Very disappointed in the lack of attention from the staff, very bland and tasteless food.

We visited the Cinnamon Kitchen whilst staying in Port Talbot for a couple of nights. The staff were welcoming, the restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere. The service was excellent and our food was served quickly. My husband and I had starters of poppadoms and chicken pakoras. For our main, we chose chicken shashlick. Both courses were absolutely delicious. The portions were huge which meant that we couldn’t eat everything; the waiter even offered to box up the left over food. There was nothing that I could criticise and we would definitely eat there again.

I was pleasantly surprised at this restaurant. I didn't think it would be good enough purely because of the people it mostly accommodates in the area. And to some extent I was right, with spice levels. But still, it exceeded my expectations. Went down for a meal with the fam during a night stay in the area. We were seated straight away at the back. The restaurant was quite busy. We all ordered only mains as we were told the table was reserved from a certain time. We didn't mind as we just walked in rather than booking a table. I ordered the naga lamb (bengali chilli). Out of the 7 mains we ordered, mine was by far the best. It was amazing, delicious and packed with flavour. The portions were quite big. I was very happy with this dish. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food too. The service was very good. Food came quick and one waiter in particular was very friendly.

Back here again after a year or so: and still very impressed with every aspect of this restaurant. It is a bit ‘frozen in time’ in terms of its menu and decor (e.g. no vegetarian section; and flock wallpaper) but it is very very good at what it does: efficiently serving delicious food and drink at reasonable prices to all comers. An ideal choice; and particularly handy if you’re staying at The Best Western hotel on Aberavon Beach and fancy a change.

Our first visit here for a catch up with friends. Food was lovely and fresh. If we needed help on choosing from the menu the staff were only to happy to help and advise.Staff were really friendly and polite.The restauraunt was packed when we visited with a larg gathering having fun, so we were put in a smaller side room divided by a lovely curtain . Even though we were a small group of 6 we wer not forgotten about and were checked on quite often.We will be back

Popped in for my mums birthday with my 8 year old and ate the best Indian food. They have a kids menu which is great and my prawn curry was felt. Very impressed with the food, service, cleanliness and atmosphere of the restaurant. Will definitely return on my next visit.

My family come to visit me from London and love a good Indian restaurant. Since moving to South Wales I have struggled to give them a taste of what they have back home. The Indian cuisine is different in wales and in my personal opinion is what people’s palette’s enjoy here. Until now. The food here is amazing! Packed with flavour. I had a chicken naga and it was a real naga. Mouthwatering and spicy as anything. The rice was cooked perfectly and the naan bread was to die for. I can’t wait to visit this place again. A massive thank you to the chefs and staff here for giving me a truly wonderful experience and you have earned yourself a loyal customer

Visited Friday evening as we were staying at the hotel nearby..We hadn't booked a table and the restaurant was very busy but they managed to fit us in.Food amazing, staff really friendly... only downside tikka curry wasn't as creamy as normal but still delishious. Highly recommended

My husband and I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing, the staff courteous, atmosphere exciting, and a place we could visit every weekend, ( if we could get a table). A must for tourists, have eaten food from Australia to Dusseldorf, this place takes some beating

Surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night and had to wait for a table. However, the wait was worth it as we found both the food and the service of high quality. Would definitely recommend.

I recently attended a Birthday party at the Cinnamon Kitchen with a large group of people and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The restaurant was also full of other customers, but still all our orders arrived together for each course. The food was excellent as always and nobody went away disappointed. Thank you to all the staff for making the evening so enjoyable. We'll definitely be back soon.

There was 22 of us and the service was excellent all of us was served together and the staff were very pleasant. The food was very good and will definitely return in the future.

Was staying in the hotel down the road and fancied an Indian. The restaurant is very nice and well lit, plus quite roomy and well decorated with nice furniture.The waiters were more than efficient and service was excellent.I had Tandoori mixed starter which for £4.95 was OK but there wasn't much there really. To follow was Chicken Pathia with slightly greasy onion rice. It wasn't too spicy nor sweet, so not really to my liking since that's how I prefer my Pathia. Slightly disappointing but its such a nice place that compensated. I would probably go again- so that says it all.

It was my 2nd time visisting this restaurant and this time had gone with some friends ! The food is amazing and has real authentic taste ! The staff are really lovely and welcoming . Will be defitnatly going again !

Whilst staying in Aberavon for the evening we decided to visit this restaurant and we weren’t disappointed. The food was lovely, tasty and good value, the ambience was relaxing and the service was excellent. We had starters, mains, drinks and coffees and can not fault any of it. I’m personally glad we don’t live nearby as would be as fat as a house. If staying at the Best Western hotel or visiting the area I would recommend as this is Indian cuisine at its best. The only reason for not giving it five stars is due to the outlook.

Great restaurant,great staff, and great food.This is our second visit to the Cinnamon Kitchen and we will be booking a third!We had 12 people in our party,including a member with dietary requirements and a baby...and everyone came away happy Staff couldn’t have accommodated us any more than they did.I wish the business all the success.

I haven’t been here for about 4 years, and previously ordered off the menu. Tried the buffet and it was probably the worst one I’ve been to locally. Starters were all cold, bhajis were small, rock hard and dried out. Very poor choice of curries and didn’t really enjoy any of it. Wouldn’t go back, especially given that there is a really good one up the road in Margam . Staff pleasant and lovely Cobra on tap but food very poor on this occasion. Really wouldn’t recommend.

Didn’t enjoy this meal at all. Eat as much as you want. But we didn’t eat that much. Down to the fact the food was awful. Chips rock hard, so were onion bhajis. Cold starters too. Chicken was tasteless. Same for choice of curries too. Shame really, because the restaurant is in lovely location. And very smart inside. But food is disappointing. I will add that the beer was spot on! Lovely crisp tasty cobra on tap

Came on a spontaneous trip the food was amazing especially being Asian all the spices were there and very very affordable deffo recommend this by far the best Asian in wales!

The staff pulled out all the stops when I booked for a very large party (25) for a Friday night at short notice.The food as always is sublime.Everyone enjoyed the food which was delicious.Some had not visited the restaurant before and were very impressed.It’s such good value, with friendly staff can’t go wrong eating here.

We went to the 10 year celebration event on 5/11 and were presented with a stunning selection of India food - nothing like what is served in the High Street. However even the everyday menu here is innovative and delicious - and at a reasonable price too.

Service and staff were ok but the food was disappointing. I eat a lot of curry and have been to numerous Indian restaurants and I don’t understand how the reviews are so good. Maybe a different chef tonight I don’t know but my food was very mild and lacking spice and heat really bland and tasteless and weirdly had bits of raw pepper on top of a hot dish...yet the wife found her dish too salty. Portion size wasn’t great either and no lime in the chutney tray. No reason to go back unfortunately.

Cinnamon Kitchen is an exceptional curry house with incredible food and even better service! I would eat there for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday if it was socially acceptable. Recommend it to anyone within a 40 mile radius.

We went here for my sons 18th Birthday meal,the service is excellent and everybody commented on how delicious their food was, the staff are all very friendly and they went out of their way to make the night extra special, would highly recommend Cinnamon Kitchen. will be back for a return visit.

The service was excellent and the food was lovely. The portion sizes were great value and for the amount of food we got for the money we spent was just brilliant. I was very satisfied with everything and I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting Port Talbot.
