Chutney's in Newham

fantastic curry have tried a few places but this is by far the best!!!!!!

Have ordered from this place many times and was honestly dissapointed. I ordered 2 popadoms, only one came, which was soggy and broken. Unsure whether it was stale or just packed carelessly next to greasy chips. Chips were rubbery as though they had been reheated and barely edible. I ordered a masala (which I always have) and it came with pistachios on. I personally have never had one come like that and it tasted completely different to usual. Honestly thought it was a different takeaway.

A tasty serving of chicken balti was just what I needed on this cold and rainy day!

Its a shame, twice late in a week by half hour. Food not hot on arrival. Luke warm. Flavour good although very mild. Last week was too hot. Even on a medium dish.

Chicken bali very very hot. Supposed to be medium. General flavours good. Food late. Lamb ceylon seemed hottervrhan usual too.

They have lamb madras’s instead of lamb tikka madrass

I used to order from chutneys when I was in London regularly but this was the first time in ages and I'm pleased I decided to order again! One of the best takeaways available. Quality sauces and meat. Loved it . 👍

The quality of the food served was awful. The chips were over fried. The papadamas were like damp paper. Their chicken tikka wrap used to be one of the best in the area, doesn't taste anything like before. Also since when chicken tikka curry has coconut in it? I won’t be ordering again.

I think the chef was off today and maybe delivery driver cooked my food because that was the worst curry ive ever had and i order from this restaurant weekly for the past 20 years when they were lipa

It was good, the delivery was early, delivery driver lovely and temperature hot but it was absolutely swimming in oil, whether that was the garlic rice, chicken madras or pani puri. Pani puri is usually a bit oily so I didn't mind that but I've never had rice so oily and the madras was swimming, to the point I had to drain it. They also forgot the keema naan which I've had to claim back from Just Eat.

Rice was fantastic, lamb was good - Chicken was alright, not the best cuts or very succulent, poppadums were good & nan bread was ok, a little chewy

Delivery was later than advised on first delivery time given (7.15pm) but still arrived 10 mins after last update (7.45pm). Food was only warm when received. Order also had items missing - 2 cans x Diet Coke, pot of Lime pickle & pot of onion salad. Food had fantastic taste & good quality but it was just annoying that items were missing, it was late and required re-heating before we ate it.

The food is marked as delivered to game the system but nothing was delivered, it arrived 15 minutes after. JustEat should penalise such a behaviour. Also, the food is bland.

Food arrived freezing cold I could not reheat because one was a prune dish Total waste of £17 on food I would like a refund please

Fantastic service and take away last night, I enjoyed the chicken curry and mango chutney combo when I goy home and will be returning after an excellent first experience. Priced correctly and well worth trying. Peter

The bryani was poorly made, very very dry. The rice quality was really bad their cucumber yogurt basically was yogurt with three bits of cucumber on side. I paid extra for that! The food had no salt and even the sauce for the bryani was bland. Very disappointing considering this place has really good reviews. They should also do track delivery one min the app tells me driver on the way and next second the bell rings.

Ordered Masala and Madras in the last couple of months, both times I got the same sweet red curry. Was like a particularly bland Korma with red food colouring in it. Very poor, won't be ordering again.

I always order from Chutney’s as the food is always banging! But this time I felt I needed to provide a review because Rahman was so lovely! I tried something new this time but unfortunately they had almonds in them - im allergic. I called in to confirm the ingredients and Rahman sent me a substitute for free! Thank you!

The food took 1.5 hours to arrive with some of it missing so had to wait another 45 minutes for that to come. The food was cold. Said it had arrived on the app but had not. The customer service was awful. Food was cold and horrible

Food is nice, order special chiken koroi, and chiken biryani.

Biriyani was bland,ordered mushroom rice and got plain rice.no mushroom pilau rice or mint sauce available for order.seems expensive for the quality.

Superb food, delivered on time. Prices slightly lower than some other places, but portion size and quality were both excellent. Their garlic chilli chicken was superb—really hot and flavoursome. Definitely my new local first choice.

Your menu is not informative on what the dishes contain, for allergy reasons. It would make it much easier for people with allergies or people who avoid certain types of food, to know what's in the food they're going to order. Can't expect everyone to order something and tell you what they don't want, if they don't know what's in it.

Mutton advertising as lamb, grisly and tasteless madras.

Ordered a meal on their website it wouldn’t go through called chutney,s and was told their website was down and suggested we use Uber. Meal was delivered by Uber then received a phone call whilst we were eating to say our meal was ready for collection. I explained we already had our meal. I checked my bank and we had been charged twice. Chutneys were not interested so we paid out almost £100 for a meal. My son contacted them for me and went to collect the second un wanted meal.

Very happy with food quality and delivery time. just one small thing if I order something X2 please put them in separate bags. Otherwise good food

Chutneys! Whats happened? Are you under new management or new chef? The man who used to answer the phone knew who we were without having to ask! Just had a take away and we are all so disappointed. Been using you for years and will now look else where. Less chicken and really dry in the Biryani and the Chicken Tikka main. Asked for a prawn vindaloo and veg madras - have you forgot how to spice. No heat no flavour! Chapti was dry -even your bottle of coke was flat and warm. You have lost a good customer who spends alot.
