Churchill's Cafe and Restaurant in Shropshire

The best breakfast I have ever had. This is the place to go. Lovely people with a great service!

I was looking for a local cafe for breakfast and someone local recommended this and it was a good call. I went for a Bacon and Mushroom sandwich and it was very good, served with a pot of tea, I like how they gave me an additional teapot full of hot water so you can have more than one cup full. Would recommend this place for breakfast, looks like they do lots of nice food. I have attached photos of the menu (Sept 2024). It located opposite the bus station and just one min walk from the Premier inn hotel.

Hidden gem for tourists and locals alike , very friendly and attentive staff, spotlessly clean ,we had a great cooked breakfast with GF options! and it's also dog friendly. Right in the centre of town, well worth a visit!

Our party of 8 have been coming to Churchills for 4 years when we come from North Wales to the Let's Rock Festival and we love it ! Delicious breakfast on the Saturday and then Sunday lunch the next day . Gorgeous food very generous portions and home made puds . The staff are wonderful, so friendly and accommodating . See you next year xx

Breakfast was fantastic, prices were very good, maybe a little lower than they should be considering the service and quality and quantity.

Called into Shrewsbury this morning via train, googled a place to eat and Churchill's cafe and restaurant came up. I thought I'd give it a try, all I can say it was excellent, food was nice, service was excellent and very reasonably priced, give it a whirl if you're passing you won't be disappointed.

Normally I try to only post positive reviews but my experience here needs to be told.one member of staff, David, showed me the worst customer service I have seen in a very long time.basil Fawlty would have been proud.on entry we were told'you can't go through there.you're not members.sit there ' then when we tried to order, we got ' there will be a wait,as we are full of members today' , implying that we would not be served until the members were dealt with.during a decidly ordinary meal, David then went over to another customer to inquire if her meal was ok, totally ignoring us.we were basically made to feel very unwelcome and will not be returning.the only reason for 2 stars is the lady that spoke to us as we were leaving.she was friendly.david could learn a lot from her

We found Churchill’s online and called for breakfast on Friday morning. Perfectly cooked full English at a reasonable price and a wonderful welcome. The welcome and food was so good, we returned for lunch before catching our train back to Wales. This too was delicious and the warm welcome repeated. We will definitely be calling here next time we’re in Shrewsbury. Good food. Great service. Lovely people. Happy days 😀

Great cafe. I was looking for somewhere to grab a bite between trains at Shrewsbury, and had an excellent sausage sandwich here. Much less busy and better priced than other cafes I peered into.

What can i say, my wife and i had a great breakfast, great staff and great price. A proper pot of tea and you can get 2 cups out of it. Even the customers are friendly and relaxed. look forward to going back there.

The best value breakfast I've had in ages. Proper sausages, runny eggs, friendly owners, lovely coffee.

Not really a builder's cafe, but not far off, without pushing out the more sensitive consumer. We were staying at the Premier Inn, but due to COVID restrictions, couldn't get breaky. Walk over to The Churchill and got a good sized breaky for a bit less money, and a lot more personal service.

Best breakfast in Shrewsbury. Fabulous homely atmosphere. Great quality sausage and bacon, definitely not cut corners with ingredients and a steal at £4.95. The marmalade and butter with the toast is a fantastic touch. The two ladies who served us couldn't have been nicer if they tried

Great little traditional cafe & restaurant, nice breakfast and excellent service

Excellent value breakfasts under a fiver. A cosy atmosphere on a rainy day, with plenty of elbow room. Staff are attentive and intelligent. Butter, jam, and (decent) marmalade all come in generous pots, not packets. WiFi didn't like me or my wife, though!
