Churchills in Birmingham

I can summarise Baha in 4 words to save you the time and effort of reading through the reviews - overrated food & s***e service. Dined here on two occasions a while back and was very disappointed,especially with the standard of service. We were there for 2 hours before being served our main meal! We were told the reason for this is because they make all their food from scratch... I mean, doesn't most places? Even then the food was average. Wouldn't say its the best in Birmingham. Maybe I would have rated the food higher, but the expectation that the food is so great is set by the staff, only for you to be disappointed when your food arrives 2 hours later and isn't as spectacular as they made out.

Mi esposa y yo recientemente hicimos un viaje a Birmingham para un concierto en el Instituto 2. Según nuestro ritual habitual previo al concierto, decidimos tomar unas (326) cervezas y probar uno de los mejores restaurantes veganos de la ciudad. Después de mucha investigación y recomendaciones, aterrizamos en Churchill’s / BAHA. Ubicado en el buzón, que era bastante útil ya que nuestro estacionamiento nocturno y el hotel estaban a un agradable paseo de cinco minutos por los alrededores del canal. Una vez que superamos el riego de 5 a 6 pintas (aparentemente totalmente normal en Birmingham) no nos decepcionó. El ambiente y el diseño son muy relajados, ya que ofrecen asientos estilo bar o restaurante. El personal era fantástico, mientras que la comida era excelente. Terminamos optando por los aperitivos del bar / platos de estilo tapas en lugar de tener una comida para sentarse. Todos los platos eran frescos y muy sabrosos, recomiendo las papas fritas cargadas, la coliflor de búfalo y el macarrones con queso.

Estaba tan delicioso y rematado por las increíbles bolas de jaca de la cocina Ba - Ha. Lugar perfecto para tomar una copa en el buzón.

I’m writing this after my 3rd time of visiting. I took 5 non vegans along with me this time and they all loved the food. The food is creative and bursting with flavour. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is in a great location overlooking the canal. Will be back again soon!

After a dreadful birthday meal perviously we thought we would give Baha another go but sadly after been sat down in a near empty restaurant and being sat there without even a drink order taken and even questions about food seemed very difficult we left as wouldn’t waste anymore of our time . This is so sad as this place used to be one of our fave places to go even thou the menu hasn’t really changed this year . They added a Big Mac burger which was shocking and arrived to the table cold and charred in October and of course can’t judge the festive additions as didn’t get chance to even order . Even when I said we would be leaving the girl looked at me like she was surprised there was a customer. Shame but won’t be bothering again

We went in for a few drinks one night, service was good and the place was clean, staff were friendly would go again

Had a great meal at BaHa celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday. Myself and most of my family are non-vegan so was impressed by the choice and excited to try something new. The food was amazing and a great experience. Thanks to Frankie and the team for being great hosts and making the day extra special for my daughter. We're definately looking forward to coming back soon!

Busy bar with a good vibe. Friendly staff serving drinks. Lots of different seating options so good for groups or couples.

I went to BAHA Vegan situated within Churchill’s Bar last night for my birthday and it was amazing. Frankie made us feel very welcomed and settled and was very attentive with my allergies and Han was a lovely lovely waitress who was also very attentive with my allergies as well as us all. The interior was such a nice environment to be in, the food was incredible and you had so many options for the drinks! I had such a lovely evening there. Thank you x

I have visited this place many times for drinks but when i heard about the new food menu I knew I had to come and try it, and I am so glad I did. I visited a couple of weeks ago for lunch and we ordered BBQ Nobo, Nott Wings and some croquette-type balls. It was all absolutely delicious and the 3 for £15 deal is very handy for lunchtime. The decor inside is lovely and the service was fast and friendly. I would recommend and I will be coming back for more!

This was the first time we had taken a couple of friends who are not vegetarians to such a place. Speaking as a vegetarian it was a new and exciting place to go to because of all the reviews. It was okay maybe trying to overcompensate with very powerful tastes in the small plates menu. The main menu was okay but it’s not somewhere maybe I would go again not a huge variety as hoped. The website wasn’t fantastic and the desert which was the banana bread was a little dry. But overall staff were fantastic our waitress Hannah was so patient and took a lot of time to explain things and that really did make the evening for our friends so thank you Hannah!! 👍🏽

We called in on Saturday evening. Bar was busy but there were several empty tables. We sat at one and waited for staff to appear - but they didn't. I asked if we could have a menu and was told that without a booking would have to wait as it was extremely busy ( it wasn't). We were told we could have a drink at the bar and the staff would try and fit us in when they could! We got drinks and sat near the bar. We could see the empty tables from where we sat. 30 minutes later the tables were still empty and we could only see 2 tables actually eating in the entire place! I asked the staff what was happening and they said we could now take a seat. This is a vegan restaurant. Choices were limited but we ordered the lasagne and rigatoni dishes. Lasagne came first followed approx 5 mins later by rigatoni. Both meals were ok - nothing outstanding or special about them and perhaps a little over priced for what they were. I think the staff seem quite young and inexperienced and could benefit from some basic restaurant customer serving skills. Overall average rating. Think they could do better.

We aren’t local, so I hopped on instagram to find the best vegan place to have lunch on our day out - we weren’t disappointed! Frankie the co founder was so lovely and friendly, talking us through the menu and recommending her faves. I had the King Kentucky burger and my cousin had 3 for £15 starters. The burger was soooo crispy and flavoursome, and so surprisingly juicy & meaty! I honestly would say it’s the best burger I’ve ever had. My cousin loved hers too, she had the buffalo cauliflower, bruschetta and the third one I think was breaded cheese and chive balls - we both said we wished we had room for more.
