Take away, great kebabs, no frills

Food was absolutely disgraceful tonight slimy chicken with hairs or fluff stuck to it, the skin soggy not crispy at all, now I remember why I stopped coming here, only came cos my daughter wanted chicken tikka, but we won't be back ill stick to another takeaway because believe it or not I actually prefer my chicken to be cooked and not covered in hairs 4 pieces of sf chicken and only one that was edible to a point

Never had a problem, always bene lovely kebabs as that’s mostly what we have and fries so can’t comment on menu. All is good!

Starting to put more donner meat in special kebabs, instead of chicken tikka and lamb, I hope this is just a blip, last 2 I’ve had had hardly any other meat apart from donner, chubby’s your the best, please sort this out 👍

Food was cold, didn’t even get my sauce on the burger, took over an hour to come, and the chips was hard and wasn’t even warm, sort it out

Tikka tasted lovely, chips were tough dry and obviously recooked or frozen. AVOID THE DONER MEAT one of our party had explosive "issues" in the middle of the night, has been glued to the bowl for 12 hours since. All they had to eat that day was doner meat and dry chips.

Worst takeaway I had in my life. The chips looked like they were from aldi and the kebab meat was dry

Pizza is nice like any other pizza chips are horrible definitely do not recommend I personally recommend fries or cheesy fries they are delicious people at counter are nice food can take a while when delivering like any other place but very nice food 🙂👍

Ordered 8 inch pizza and large Donner and chips meal. Donner and chips were fine. Pretty nice. Not to greasy as kebab can be, chips were ok. Pizza wasn't 8 inches as stated. In fact it was only just over 7 inches. This is unacceptable. Food must be of stated size and weight. Very disappointed.

Very poor quality, portions small staffs attitude terrible

Do not give these rude, awful people a single penny of your money. FOOD IS DISGUSTING. Have given them the benefit of doubt on many occasion but will not be ordering from them again, they should be shut down. Pitta and Naans are wet and soggy (so much the delivery wrapping paper sticks that bad it breaks and you can’t get it off your food), meat looks and tastes like it’s been sat on the side for a week, salad is old and inedible, portions are TINY. When you call to complain you get laughed at and called a liar. These people should not be allowed to run a business. CLEANLINESS RATING IS ONLY A 3*, nasty. Do not waste your money, disgusting food.

Placed order over phone for delivery at 8.30pm tonight. it is now 10.30pm. Nothing has arrived.

We normally order pizza and we cant fault it. This time my partner had kebab ( tasted okay) and he got food poisoning. We had to go to a hospital because he was so unwell. I don't think we will be ordering again.

Food delivered very cold and although the kebab meat was edible the chicken tikka kebab was horrible, it was like chicken that had been cooked a week ago and coated in some dry flavouring and chucked into a pitta bread

Staff are friendly and efficient but the food is dire. We hadn't been for months,, now we remember why!. Chips are far too overcooked, kebab has an awful taste. Garlic mayo was good so not all bad 🤦‍♀️ Won't bother again.

Spider was found in my kabab and my tooth has just broken from a piece of meat! Never ordering from here again.

8/10 times great food and quick delivery.

My husband and I stayed in the area roughly 3 weeks and we ate here at least 5 times. Defintly stop in. We made it our last dinner before we left. That's how much we liked it. Super fast too. In and out in 15 min max. Medium doner kebab extra spicy, no chips. Trust me you want it. And the thing is so big it's basically two meals.

I wouldn’t bother ordering from here if I was you. We ordered a few different things this evening, the burger meat was 100% off, the kebabs are absolutely disgusting and also off, definitely unedible. We phoned up to complain about the state of the food and the fact that we would get ill from eating this. The people on the phone had absolutely disgusting attitudes, laughing about the fact the meat is off, passing the phone around all refusing to speak to us on the phone and point blank would not accept the fact that a trained chef said the food is unedible. The way we were spoken to and treated is disgusting so we’re currently waiting for just eat to pick up the complaint to take this further as chubby’s customer service is obviously none existent. Definitely not going to go here again.

Order last night . It was awful. Don't know how long it had been in delivery guy's car for but when it arrived it was a cold dryed up waist of money. Won't be having anything from here ever again

Vile experience!!! Ordered food for delivery, when it came the chips were clearly reheated and soggy, kebab meat was stone cold. Missed some of our order off. I rang up to see if they could send some fresh food out, however I got huffed and puffed at by a man down the phone, saying that he’s disagreeing with me as he saw the chips get fried in the oil before they left? We order from Chubby’s often, however we will not be placing an order there again after the disgusting service we’ve had tonight.

This used to be nice but the last few times I’ve been the food is cold and tasteless. Shame really. There’s lots of other takeaways in the area so they need to up their game!

This place used to be a great takeaway. I think the quality of the food has really gone downhill. There donner kebab meat is inedible now, I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt three times now. The last time I just threw it in the bin after finding crunchy hard bits in, not at all pleasant. Gave them1 last try September 2022. 👎🏻🤢🤮 Don’t know why I bothered, portion size small now too. If you are buying such poor quality produce, where else are you skimping???

Ordered a kebab and pizza. Took 1 hr 30 mins to arrive. The kabab was tasteless and cold. The pizza was burnt with an inch of its life. Chesse, topping, crust resembled charcoal. Complained and a rude delivery driver returned. The driver lifted the base and told me it wasn’t burnt!!! Thought he was joking, its was burnt to a crisp. Got a refund but argued about 20p change. DO NOT USE THIS TAKEAWAY. Frozen meal would be a better option.

Without a shadow of doubt the best fast food/ take away in Clay Cross. Great food and first class, friendly service, can't recommend them highly enough. 10/10

Ordered two fries both enemic! Ordered salad didn't receive that! Fried were a tray of raw potatoes! Never ordering from these again

On delivery the burger was half eaten, but I ate anyway and I was kinda leng. However, the chips were drier than my grandmas fanny.

I cant share my 15 inch half and half pizza cos it was all squashed together on delivery driver was informed and taken away, spoke with chubbys straight after and money refunded through just eat. Check your food before the driver goes, not good delivery.

Pretty much Dog food or what I imagine dog food taste like. The people saying very nice food, eather eat dog food, or haven't got the brains they were born with. You'd be safer and less disappointed eating out your black bin.

Ordered a jacked spud and tuna with a side salad, they were only small soe gave me another one for free! Really yummy, my mum loved the yorkshire fish cake too :)

Ordered 2 meals on Saturday night as soon I ate it my stomach was churning was up all night with diohrea then my boyfriend was ill the nxt day . Wasn't impressed as had work the nxt day

You forgot my coke... again... Tried to ring though to ask for one and your phone said the message box was full and it just rang out and out. Also my partners pizza was burnt and the size of the pitta on a medium kebab was miniscule and everything just slopped on top

I use work there food is not In a clean place there wash any thing or there don’t wash there hand when there are cook food if. You see the kitchen you would not buy food from here

Very disappointed, heard good things about chubbys, must have been on a bad day. No taste on pizza, topping very minuscule. Now the fries was really bad, even though crunchy, they was very very greasy, not very full of potato and tasted disgusting

Nice food but it consistently arrives cold so much so that even the cheese doesn’t melt! Don’t think we will be bothering in the future.

Ordered a delivery at 6pm said 1hr to wait for delivery. Rang at 7:30pm the order hadn't gone out for delivery yet said 30mins then changed his mind and said 15mins and would be delivery. 30 mins Still waiting for food to arrive now, I wouldn't mind but don't say 1 hr when ordering.

Do not use this place, horrible human beings, try and intimidate you even when they've got your order wrong. Do yourself a favour and don't poison yourself.

We have been going to these guys for years, ordered today and forgot an item off our order rang up to see if there has been a mistake. They was very cocky on the phone and told us to order elsewhere. They don't care about there customers.

Made my order upto £20, so we could have a free garlic bread with the order. Order came, no garlic bread, food taste like it’s been microwaved several times, ended up having a something else. Rang up to ask about the garlic bread and they said they don’t do it because we ordered a burger meal, they clearly should specify that. Person on the phone was extremely rude as well Won’t be ordering again

Absolutely vile scrubbers!! 3 of one of the tramps hairs in our food rang them they said oh okay thank you for letting us know?? Oh and half a bottle of ketchup and fries that looked like old things re fryed!!! Wouldn’t give there food the dog trampsssss

Went into the takeaway to place an order. Staff were alright, but weren't the best of politeness. I ordered multiple items and requested for salad on my donner kebab. Got home, and theres was no salad. I rang the takeaway and staff were rude! I didn't get all my order on this kebab, didn't come with any salad even though it should have. Owner was persistent that I didn't asked for salad and was being extremely rude. Told me to, I quote, "Go ahead and leave a bad review. I've been in this business for 30 years, I don't care what you do". So here is the bad review. Chips tasted reheated and didn't taste the best. I also ordered fries, which tasted like that were cooked from frozen, then reheated a 2nd time! Only bonus, got a free bottle of coke! Definitely wouldn't order here again. Tried something new, definitely not again. Pizza Express across the road it loads better! But hey, that's just my opinion. (1 Star is for the free coke!)

Usually get good food and service from here, but today I ordered the pizza deal online expecting to get a 10 inch pizza. It came with only an 8 inch pizza. I asked to get this swapped on the phone and they said they were too busy to deal with me. Horrible customer service and a broken website, not pleased.

Not the best takeaway I've ever had but the prices are good and the quantity of food is quite impressive but the food is by no means bad I'd happily eat here again.

Have ordered many times and it has been outstanding every time. This place doesn't look like much but I have never had a better kebab anywhere. Always cooked fresh and served on a freshly made naan bread of your choice. Being so good though, it does get very busy so allow a little extra time for delivery. Well worth the wait. I don't review places very often, had to in this case as this should be a high 4 rated takeaway and I need to do my bit. Cannot recommend this place enough if you fancy a good quality kebab or pizza.

Awful chewy kebab meat, made me poorly. biggest waste of money and will Definitely be telling my family and friends to stay away in future.

I have waited over 2 hours for a pizza and a bottle of pop. Now its arrived its not even hot the pizza that is. Will not be using again.
