On this occasion we popped in just for a coffee and cake but we'll be back soon for a lunch as you are so hard to beat for quality of both food and service and you really have taken on board most professionally the need to socially distance

Been to this Cafe a few times for breakfast which has always been okay.However, I was very disappointed with the roasts dinner. The turkey was tasteless , frozen peas frozen roast potatoes not sure about the carrots and the gravy was so thin you could see straight through it. For £7.50 this was very over priced.If your going to this Cafe I would recommend you try something else.!

We have builders in at present and were in search of a cheap and cheerful pet friendly cafe to "escape" to!! Our expectations for food quality had been low but, what a surprise as, not ony is The Old Bakery exceptional value for money but the food quality is superb. All meals are freshly cooked and professionally served and represent excellent value for money. So far between us we have sampled their small breakfast, a chicken & chorizo stew, a club sandwich and ham egg and chips leaving us wanting to try so many more items from the extensive menu.There is a generous gap between tables and today there was a log fire burning to add to the ambience. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the staff friendly.The coffee also is excellent and great value,We are looking forward to returning very soon.

Disappointing (half) a scone: I’ve been here quite a few times, and had good jacket potatoes, wonderful fish cakes and a decent veggie Christmas dinner with work last year. The food is unpretentious and decent although I would say just a tad expensive as are the drinks. Today sadly, I had a slightly more negative experience. I brought my mum and dad here and they were not impressed either. We had coffee/tea and cakes. The coffee and tea were fine, we had some welsh cakes which were ok (boring and looked like they weren’t home made) but the scones left a lot to be desired. We ordered two scones, and they gave us half a scone each... £2 for half a scone? I don’t understand why you would serve half a scone? It wasn’t even very big. They were not fresh and were slightly hard, the cream was not clotted cream either. Disappointing and miserly. I’ve had a piece of cake from here before and it was so big I couldn’t finish it. I’d try elsewhere before eating here again. Maybe you could look at your pricing and the portions? Half a scone??!

Had a profesional but warm welcome ( as did the two dogs) friendly efficient service and a lovely fresh breakfast What more can you ask for wont be my last visit

Hidden away on this small industrial estate the old bakery is both quaint and homely with real fire and a very surprising menu this is a gastronomic treat not to miss. The food is gold standard

Popped to Home Bargains in Tondu with a friend this morning, and decided to pop into this ‘tardis’ of a cafe for a coffee. Well, what a pleasant surprise! It may well be on an industrial site, but wow! It’s fab, spacious & tastefully decorated with a great menu!! Ended up having the poached eggs, bacon & avocado on toast ( home made bread) £6 - delicious! Great, friendly service by Hannah & comfy deco, will be back to sample some of the other tasty sounding ‘specials’ very soon.

Decided to try this place after picking my hungry son up from an early shift. What a fab decision We both had a small breakfast which came with a tea or coffee, I never eat sausages, but decided to try the leek ones served here, they were beautiful! The amount of food on the plate was just enough. Lovely polite staff and we didn’t wait long for our food to be served. Will definitely visit again, this is officially our new favourite place

Called in for food last Monday and loved it. Friendly staff, great food and not too expensive. Have recommended to several friends and wish them all the very best success they deserve !!!

Very friendly staff, also the service is exceptional. The food is first class, fresh and tasty. I find it had to find anything negative about the cafe. Five stars from me.

Have popped into The Old Bakery a few times now and the staff are always really friendly and pleasant. I would definitely recommend the paninis, they are delicious and hot. Try the goats cheese and cranberry, really scrummy. Food is freshly made to order and excellent taste, quality and size. The coffee is good and strong too.

Excellent local produce beautifully cooked. This cafe is part of Christopher Lee's extended catering business and is a great example of an enterprise sharing its expertise with the local community.
