A huge portion whatever breakfast you choose is served. Coffee piping hot and the waitress very sweet. A bonus is that there are outside tables on the terrace so we were able to sit outside on the scorching hot Sunday morning. Lovely

We stopped here for lunch when we were passing through the area. We'd never been here before and assumed it would be a typical "greasy spoon", acceptable for a quick meal before getting on our way. We were pleasantly surprised at the range of dishes on the menu, the pristine level of cleanliness and the friendly attention of the staff. We were served quickly and the food was great quality with good sized portions and excellent value. If we find ourselves passing the area again we'll certainly drop in.

I have visited this café/restaurant several times now, and have found it to be one of the most friendly establishments around. The food is good and freshly prepared and well presented. All the breakfast meals are served with 'bottomless' coffee/tea, which is a nice touch in these times. This café is now a regular haunt of mine now, I think it most unlikely that Chris's café will ever disappoint. Congratulations to Chris and Sandra top marks to you all. Vince.

I have visited this cafe a couple of times and I felt it was urgently needed for people to know that they should never visit this place. I have never in my life met or encountered with somebody so rude. I was extremely upset with how I was spoken to when ordering my food! I believe I was with the owner of the cafe, he was so grumpy and really made me feel intimidated. It is important to note that not only were his mannerism's rude he pushed my friend opposite me who was not eating, in order to give me my food. He could have easily walked round to me but he chose not to. I feel he did this to make a dig because he didmt like the fact she didn't want to eat. I am so angry because this behaviour is unacceptable when trying to gain money and customers, THIS PUSHES THEM AWAY!!! Horrid staff.

Without doubt the best omelette I have had in a very long time, I went for the Spanish omelette filled full of veg, the flavour was amazing and the chips on the side were great. Really friendly staff will definitely be back! (V.soon)

The best Carbonara I can remember...proper Italian food and even offered fresh parmesan. Parking tricky but worth the hassle. A great find. They even boxed up the large portion, to eat later. This made me bother to write this for their efforts.

Have eaten in just about every cafe in carshalton and Chris's is best by far. Great well cooked food, cheap as chips ( no pun intended) friendly staff, it ticks all the boxes.

I should have been here before but it is a bit tricky to park nearby. Make the effort though because this lovely cafe is clean and bright, the staff lovely, and most importantly thefood is great. I had a ham and cheese omelette and chips that was the best I have ever had. A nice juicy omelette, not dry, with lovely chips. My only comment, that is NOT a criticism really, is that the portions are rather large, and since I hate to see waste I had to sleep it off all afternoon. Thanks

Popped in today with some work mates to grab a bit of lunch. My first visit and I wasn't disappointed. Couldn't fault the food, very generous servings, well cooked and very tasty. Cafe itself is well presented, clean and spacious and service will a smile from very friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

Highly recommend the cafe for anyone interested in experiencing the real English type of food. You will definitely get value for your money, the food is delicious and the service is just great. The staff makes you feel like home, always cheerful, in a good mood and they've got their jokes ready to lift up your spirits. It's not just about eating proper food, it is about the whole experience.

I have been going to Chris's cafe for the last 4 years and I can definitely say that is one of the best places in the area to enjoy a proper English breakfast. The food is top quality and the portions are huge, you can never walk out of Chris's cafe with an empty belly. The place is bright and clean and the staff have always been lovely and cheerful, they definitely add up to the friendliness of the place. Chris is a very nice person and you can definitely tell that he has put a lot of effort and passion to give the cafe a personal touch. I definitely recommend the place and I advise everyone to go and try the food for themselves.

We have eaten here quite a few times as it's one of the better places to eat in the locality. The food is always hot and well cooked and the staff are friendly. It would be better if they served a better quality of sausage as these are not pleasant to eat.

You get good value for money here, especially recommended are the sausages in a crusty roll. The cafe itself is clean and roomy and has a good area to sit out.

Been for breakfast in this gorgeous cafe many times and have always found the food and staff top class.Lovely outside area with tables and chairs with umbrellas on a lovely sunny day.The owner Chris has recently decided to open at weekends and on Saturday evening (12th July) my mum, friends and I decided to try it.Well, what can I say..... Such a warm friendly welcome from Chris and his lovely staff, we sat outside under canopies to keep dry as the heavens decided to open, but we were still warm and dry and the fantastic atmosphere made us forget all about the rain.We bought our own wine which was fantastic and Chris provided the glasses.Really nice Turkish/Cypriot music playing inside which added a nice touch. Now for the food. It's the best meal I have had for ages, spiced chicken, which was cooked to perfection and a really large portion, delicious bugler, chips and salad!!!!!!It was beautiful and so filling and such a reasonable price. Then the shisha wow!!!!! Gorgeous apple and orange flavour, but loads to choose from and it lasted almost all night.Everyone in the place was so friendly and we chatted to them all and Chris makes everyone so welcome that I believe even if you went alone you would have a fab evening. My friends, family and myself will be definitely returning very soon for another great night.Chris has said that he will be doing BBQ, meze, and belly dancing evenings too which I'm sure will all be fantastic. All in all I rate this gem of a place 5 stars!!!! Well done Chris and thank you for a memorable evening.

I absolutely love this place! It's great for a meet up with friends, birthday dinner or if you are having a couples' night out! It's about a minute walk from Sutton mainline station or the plethora of buses that come from all over Surrey and South London so easy to get to. Parking is meters only about £3 per hour depending where you park. The staff are so friendly, helpful and attentive which is really refreshing. I have been coming to Sofra since it opened in Sutton - you can also pick up a nice takeaway if you like your Grilled meats - the portions are reasonable and quality of meat is excellent. If you dine in you must try the mezze aka starters... some really yummy options on there that would also be suitable for vegetarians too. And don't forget to ask for the freshly baked Turkish bread - you won't regret it! For my mains... although a bit more on the pricey side, I LOVE the lamb chops, the ribs and chicken wings ... they are perfectly smoked on the charcoal grill, juicy and usually served up with rice and salad or chips (check the menu for more info) or I will have the mixed shish so chicken and lamb ... delish! They have a selection of Turkish beer and bubbles or wine if that is your bag. Truth is am always too full for desserts- they are not as impressive as the mezzes and grills in my humble opinion. The weekends always has a nice buzzy atmosphere and in the summer it is perfect as they open up the bi-fold doors so you get to enjoy fresh air too! For mains dinner depending on what you get £15-25; mezzes are £5 - 7 approx. Check menu for takeaways but if local you can swing by and order it fresh rather than uber eats which will cost you a bit more. Highly recommend Sofra for all occasions- it's usually a bit quieter lunchtimes or the afternoon if you prefer that. I don't have many photos but have posted the chops/ribs and Turkish bread. Enjoy! 😋
