Chop Suey House in Barnsley

Had delivery and ordered chicken maryland & liver & chips but without the chips as the other dish came with them. Gravy was very very salty and also the liver which was just short of £7 came with x6 2 inch pieces. I phoned and asked to speak with manager and I heard her say that she was too busy. My 80 year old mum also had a delivery the other week and they sent her curry by mistake which she hates and the manager said tough that is what you ordered and put the phone down on her

Food is usually okay, saw a special behind the counter the salt and pepper box. It came in a pizza box, had to pay an extra £4 for egg fried rice and prawn crackers. when opening the pizza box it looked a mess, everything was mixed together. Nothing in there was really salt and pepper, the crispy chicken had been cooked so may times it was dryer than a pharoes left testicle and had zero flavour. The chicken balls were that is used for sweet and sour with a bit of salt in them. Won't be ordering it again.

Usually a regular at this Chinese, as it was one of my favourites until tonight. Everything tasted like it had been reheated which did not taste nice at all and you would expect better for nearly £30 after the price rises. I also had to pay extra for fortune cookies, we got six of them and they all tasted like CHEMICALS. I rang the restaurant to let them know, and I don’t think she understood at all.

The gravy was awful on maryland tonight could not eat the meal it tasted of disinfectant

duck with black beans is a failure, stench and skin instead of meat. I do not recommend.

Have been a regular for a while. Very disappointed with how they make mistakes and expect you to pay for them. They expected me to pay full price for what I ordered when you say 3 times your order n then it arrived wrong I was not impressed. I was then told they could send it to me but I had to pay for it this is not the first mistake they have made I will no longer use them again

Always used this place and had mixed experiences but the food had always been edible, until tonight. The chicken balls were massively undercooked so badly they were bleeding when cut into. Rang to complain to be told to either put them back into the oven or take them into the shop for her to see them. Won't be using them again. The rice was overcooked and so was the chow mein making the chicken in that like rubber

Never had any issues with food from here, they are always polite and due to being wheelchair bound they come to the door take my order, take my money and bring the food and change to me and put the food into my bag. Great place.

Ordered Peking chicken got pile of tiny pieces of batter no veg in it , hard and tasteless x chicken chow mein noodles very salty x very disappointing for £15

Best Chinese in thurnscoe good prices and best staff

Ordered over the phone, came over an hour late, had to pay for prawn crackers even though most places offer them free(they weren't nice at all more like cardboard), batter on chicken balls like rubber, egg fried rice and King prawns like rubber (like reheated in the microwave), chips were cold and overcooked and like cardboard. Not a good first impression so will not be ordering again. Only live in Goldthorpe and it took over 20 minutes to deliver after I phoned to see where it was and girl on phone not very professional or friendly(don't think she knew what she was doing tbf! ) Overall experience... 😩

Apsaloutly outraged as i had ordered my food and it came up to more than calculated and had hardly ordered anything it's pathetic it doesn't even come up to that when ordering for 8 and this order was only for 2 also not happy as found hairs in everything that was ordered

Had a chicken and mushroom on the night and I had nothing else that day , I felt fine until early hours in the morning , I started feeling sick and the whole night I was vomiting. And it got worse throughout the day . Distgusting😠.

Always a good price and tastes good
