Great food and good staff at reasonable prices. Situated just off the main road through Port Elphinstone. Would eat here again.

Very unhappy with our takeaway tonight which was delivered and plated up ready to enjoy it was cold chips were a disaster rice was all mushy spoke to the manager on the phone I don’t really think she knew what she was doing as all she would say was ok then long pause then ok not very professional now waiting on our food to be collected and get a refund will not be using this takeaway again very hungry unhappy customers after a whole hour and fifteen minutes waiting for collection they still haven’t been when we told the manager we were going out also so as soon as possible they have now ruined our whole evening having ended up having to pay taxi fairs out of our own pocket as it turned up to take us out absolute joke of a service would not recommend

I have ordered multiple different things over the past few weeks. trying to find something wrong but time and time again they surpass my standards with unique flavours speedy delivery's and a great price to top it all off I will be using this takeaway more. THIS IS A MUST TRY FOR CHINESE LOVERS !!!!

We hadn’t been in the restaurant for a few years but heard it was under new management so thought we’d give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised. The service was first class ,the menu interesting and the food was beautifully cooked and presented.i would have given it 5 stars but the decor was just a bit too brown for me ! Will definitely be back soon.

I'll admit our order was very quick to collect, however my husband and I had a shared starter which was pretty horrible. The vegetables in the spring rolls were past their best and the sticky ribs were more fat than meat. My main course of Tom yum chicken was okay but rice overcooked and hard to chew. I was really looking forward to pineapple fritters which I hadn't had in years but sadly the batter was not cooked so when I cut them open runny raw batter poured out. Won't be going back again.

So here it goes..... I’m really not one to complain but ordered our food at 6.50 pm to be told it would be 1/2hr... after 40 mins phoned to ask how long it would be to be told they made a mistake and it would be an hour and a half!!!!! Ok I’m a reasonable person and people make mistakes.... so we have a child free night and this was a treat... after an hour and a half stil no food... phoned again to be told the food was being cooked and hadn’t left yet!!!! 😡😡😡😡 By this point I was slightly peed off. I asked to speak to the manager who conviently wasn’t there 🙄. Was offered 10% off next order... you kidding me I don’t bloody think so!!!! After 10 mins of speaking to somebody that wasnt very clear on there English I gave up with 20% off our existing order.. So 2 hrs later we got our food and was past being hungry... p**d off is an understatement. Well done chop chop for putting a downer on our night 😏

Fthe food was fabulous, lovely decor, not to cramped. the waitress was very cheerful and happy. Very good atmosphere.

I live about half a mile away from this establishment, and yet it took them 90 minutes to deliver my order and I was charged £1.50 for the pleasure. It might have been worth the wait, if the food had been good.... However, the whole order was cold, stodgy, slimy and greasy. The sweet and sour sauce was basically a mix of bright pink food colouring, vinegar, sugar and starch. There were seven prawns which, at £5.50 for the dish is a bit of a rip-off. The fried rice tasted of cold, burnt, over-used cooking oil. We had also ordered satay chicken skewers. The two (yes, just two) pieces of chicken arrived wrapped in tinfoil with a slither of dried-up cucumber and a teaspoonful of satay sauce. This takeaway was, by far, one of the worst I've ever had, as well as one of the most expensive. I won't use them again.

After going last time and realising that the sauce with the chicken balls is miniscule, I knew to order differently. The meal we had last time wasn't the greatest, but we thought they were just having an off day. We've since discovered that it was in fact a good day. This time we ordered the chicken balls, an extra portion of sweet and sour sauce, spicy chilli chicken, 2 portions of fried rice and a portion of chips. The chicken balls were tiny, the sauce was lumpy, the chips had black speckles all over them (looked like the oil needed changed), and the fried rice had a really funny smell and was almost black. It was as though it had been cooked in a dirty pan. Will definitely never be going back here.

Ordered a takeway but took over am hour to arrive, food was awful everything was so salty, also never got the spare ribs ordered. Utter rubbish. Will not be ordering again

Made the mistake of saying let's try it!! So a take away it was. Menu looked good and varied. Simple chicken satay starter, then black pepper beef, hot and spicy chicken, fried rice and chips. Once home 5min drive, starter opened and hunted for the peanut sauce it had been wiped on with what I can guess was a paint brush!! Hot and spicy was basically a sweet and sour with a few chillis thrown in. Black pepper, well the clue is in the name! Grizzly beef and filled with mushrooms with little taste. Chips Luke warm. Rice warm and looked like old school dark fried rice, just looked it was oily and tasteless. Will never visit again, so do yourself a favour and just walk past.

This is a simple nice Asian/Thai/Malay/Chinese restaurant with a comfortable attractive section for guests who opt to dine in - discretely separated from the take-away clientele. Service was adequate and fast and polite. Everything we ate was fine. Reasonable small wine list. Chop Chop Express is located upstairs in a building on a main street about 2 miles out of downtown Inverurie - so not so easy to spot - so I recommend you have a look out for the bright green small frontage. Parking is available 100 metres away in municipal car-park beside the park.

We ordered a simple take away, that was sadly thrown away. The food arrived late, it smelled odd, everything seemed to be covered in a shocking pink sweet sauce, just dreadful. I certainly will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

The restaurant was recommended by friend, it was a little out of the way and we drove past it first time and had to ask where it was. The service was friendly and the food was very good and not badly priced. We will be eating there again.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant, although the parking and signage could be improved, the food and service could not. The service was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble and a lot of time was spent explaining the dishes to a couple of our party who are not used to classic dishes. The food was excellent, well presented and a good sized portion, I had the "Nasi Goreng" which I've not had for many years and it was excellent, the other dishes gained rave reviews as well. We shall return when we are next in this part of Scotland.

We went out for a meal and booked chop chop as my mother in law loves Chinese food. The restaurant was really quotes but the food and service was absolutely brilliant. We're definitely going back!

Ordered food from here for the first time in Sept 16. Since then I've ordered from them 3 or 4 times now and have never been disappointed. Lemon chicken I had recently was very good and wasn't oversauced like is often the case with other takeaways. Very reasonably priced also.

I order from chop chop partly because they are one of only three take aways that deliver to me. delivery is expensive at £6 but as I don't order that often its worth it as the food is delicious.

Was recommended to try chop chop by a family member. First impressions, nicely decorated modern style restaurant. Our very friendly waitress, Stephy couldn't have been more friendly and informative. Food was delicious, we had mixed sharing starter , beef in black bean sauce and red Thai chicken curry, beautiful, however........ I really think the bowl of flaming gel, to give 2 tiny chicken skewers a little but more of a cook up, was unnecessary, and frankly quite dangerous. There were large chunks of raw onion served up with the starter, as I love onion, but no one wants to eat huge chunks or raw onion oj a date, thought I would give it a little roast over the flame, immediately when my fork touched my lip, it sounded like meat searing BBQ! Was and still is painful, I never said anything at the time, as was probably my own fault, i was not under influence of alcohol, and suggest these pots of Gel be removed from the sharing platter, a bit gimmicky and quite frankly dangerous, and unnecessary, does not add anything to the dish. Food was delicious, and would probably have enjoyed more if my lip wasn't severely burnt.

My partner and I went along on a Tuesday to take a break from home-cooking brought in by positive reviews on TA. Car parking wasn't obvious. The restaurant was empty (perhaps not surprisingly given it was a Tuesday) although they were doing well with the carry-out service. We were greeted by a very pleasant girl who seated us. The starters were soon delivered with the spring/duck rolls being both a good size and tasty. The mains were brought soon after and both were very nice - the Hot and Spicy Chicken being both hot and spicy! Portion size was 'enough'. £30 for 2 courses x 2 seemed reasonable. Overall a positive experience and somewhere we'd go again.

The food was very good and staff very nice. A lovely restaurant at reasonable prices. Highly Recommended and I will be back next time I am staying up this way.

We decided to go out for dinner with our little boy and had enjoyed take away from Chop Chop Express so thought we'd try eating in. The staff are very friendly, the food was delicious and they took a genuine interest it our little boy. We will definitely visit again.

4 of us as a family enjoy an excellent meal in beautiful surrounding. We started with duck spring rolls and crispy chicken and this was very tasty and empty played showed everyone enjoyed the appetiser. We followed this up with 1/2 Crispy Duck and shredded chilli beef with fried rice and chips. Again empty plates after what we an only description as excellent tasty food enjoyed by all. We will definitely be back and would recommend as a definite to try. Thanks also to the very friendly staff who waited on us hand and foot from the time we entered the door until the time we left. Very pleasant experience. Must try.

We had a takeaway from chop chop, now under new management. It was very poor, we had 3 starters and 3 mains with fried rice. Firstly the starters - chicken and sweet corn soup, hot and sour soup and satay skewers. The hot and sour soup was full of green chilli, we had to remove them before we could eat it. The chicken and sweet corn soup was average, but over thickened with cornflour. The chicken on the satay skewers was over cooked, the sauce was okay. The mains - sweet and sour chicken, lemon chicken and king prawn curry. The sweet and sour was absolutely awful, bright red in colour (red food colouring), only 3 bits of chicken and a whole onion which was chopped into large pieces and not cooked, there were also 3 bits of red pepper, it was the worst sweet and sour we have ever seen. The lemon chicken was very thick and gloopy with too much cornflour. The portion size was very small and flavour very average. The prawn curry was average.We used to got to this takeaway about 5 years ago and it was a very high standard then, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food now, it has gone downhill in a big way.

This is one of the best Asian restaurants I have been to in the Aberdeen area . I managed to order my favourite Nasii Goring . And I loved it . Inexpensive too , From the outside it looked like your average take away and was pleasantly surprised to see a nicely done eatery with extremely friendly staff . But sssh don't tell anyone . Its a secret haunt that only the locals know about.

The food was good but presented in a very western way. It was all on one plate instaed of seperate dishes, a little unusual. We were the only diners although it did look like they do a good take away trade.The surrounds were nice and the staff attentive, although our waitress's english was poor.

We decided to go out for a nice oriental meal on a wet August evening. We are glad we chose Chop Chop restaurant as both my husband and I had a lovely meal there and we both really enjoyed it. We liked the atmosphere and the new friendly staff, namely Steffi, and we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive which was delicious. We also liked the way the new owners had arranged their menu with photo's to accompany the dishes that they serve, which helped to choose the right meal for us. Would definitely recommend this restaurant:)

I normally get takeaway, which is usually quite good, from this restaurant but decided to 'eat in' on this occasion.The food was excellent and of better quality than my usual takeaway. This could be down to the restaurant being under new management and I hope my next takeaway is of similar quality. The staff were very attentive and friendly. My friend was especially impressed with the Kung Po Chicken and the quantity of cashew nuts sprinkled on top.

My Wife and I just visited Chop Chop, today, the first time since being "Under new management". All I can say was the food was fresh, very well presented, and extremely nice. The fact it was well priced was a Bonus. The staff were friendly, pleasant and polite. We will definitely be back 5 out of 5.

Visit this Chinese! It's a hidden gem in Port Elphinstone. The restaurant is much too quiet for the quality of food. Completely different to the takeaway menu. I didn't think this wee place could get much better but a new owner and new decor have done it. Deserves many many more people through its restaurant.

I have dined at and ordered from Chop Chop Express a couple of times with friends. The food is always correct and the staff pleasant enough.The food is your average Chinese take out and rice etc is not included in the price of the dishes, so this adds to the cost. Good for locals, looking for a night off cooking, but not worth a special trip to eat here.

Food was not up to usual standard of a Chinese. Not gone back as really not worth it. Order was wrong and sauce for sweet and sour was minimul. Onions raw.

I Phoned in an order at 5.15pm for delivery at 7.30pm or thereabouts. Had to Phone to find out where it was at 7.50pm to be told, it's left the shop! Phoned back at 8.25pm again to find out where my order was at which point the driver arrived to deliver our food. Sadly it was not our food and the food that had been delivered was wrong. I then spent another 5 minutes on the phone to the shop trying to explain what the problem was. Terrible attitude and service! The only upside was the very polite and pleasant delivery driver!

After receiving a menu through the post I thought we'd try the take away/delivery option. After a long day of work my little girl (2) just wanted to play with me so I phoned at 4.50pm ordering food at which point I was told it would be an hours wait, I agreed to this.Fast forward to 6.15 I phoned to ask where our food was? To be rudely told that that they were down to one driver and he was on his way and would be 10 minutes.6.35, phoned again as the food had still not arrived. I was again told the driver was on his way and maybe he 'couldn't find my house' 6.50 I phone asking to speak to the manager to cancel the food and return my money, at this point I was told the manager isn't there, I requested my money back and the lady on the phone asked me to hold on while she phoned the delivery driver, she phoned he didn't answer. I was then without warning transferred to another lady whom I repeated my problems with their service to, to be transferred to another lady who told me "your food will be here soon we only have one driver" I explained (again) that if they had told me this when I'd ordered that I would have gone elsewhere and wouldn't have a tired, hungry toddler (!) She then offered me 10% discount off my next order (NEXT ORDER?! I haven't even got this one yet) I told her it was unlikely I would ever be ordering again, to which she kept repeating I would get 10% discount next time. Exasperated and hungry I ended the call. Food arrived 7pm

Made an order for collection and it was ready when I arrived 10 mins later. Lovely staff! 1/4 crispy duck was nicely shredded with a generous amount of duck. Chilli beef was tasty. The only disappointment was that the fried noodles were thin as I prefer thicker noodles (but that's a personal preference). Delighted to hear that they deliver to Pitmedden. We'll definitely try them again!

Myself and my fiancee had been using this takeaway for deliveries for the past 4 months since moving to the area. About a month ago the food had to be sent back to the delivery driver because it was merely warm. Our next delivery was last weekend. The food came after waiting only 30 mins.... Much to our dismay when we uncovered the cartons, we found each plastic tub contained half of the contents which wouldnt have fed a child let alone an adult.I contacted the restaurant whom advised after some consideration that they would pick up the food and give me a refund. Disappointed to say the least as all i wanted was a replacement with a proper portion.Will not use chop chop again.

Food not great, ordered sweet and sour was given barely a tablespoon of sauce over the chicken and onions were not cooked. Shame as heard good reports.

This is the third time we have ordered from here in as many months and have to say it is consistent. The price is really reasonable. We ordered three meals and a selection of sides and got change from £30!The food itself it good, no complaints and you get adequate portions. Would recommend for a takeaway. We have used Chop Chop on many occasions for take-away. Sometimes, unfortunately we have had to wait longer than expected to pick-up our order. The food is always very fresh and tasty and nicely prepared. Good value and plenty to choose from. Great when you don't feel like cooking.

Called to arrange a pick up and when I arrived they stated they could not find my order and I must not have called. No apology nothing. The gentleman who took the call never even acknowledged my existence despite me saying it was him who took my call

Chop chop Express, for myself is the best Chinese in and around the inverurie. Fast order and great value. I love their chicken fried rice.

Just returned from holiday, so phoned Chop Chop to order a carry out, which I collected 15 mins later. It was lovely very tasty, authentic Chinese food. Prompt attention, carry out was ready when I arrived to collect.

Just ordered a king prawn curry / chips plus Hot and sour soup What can I say other than disgusting the chips were soggy the curry was bland and tasted funny did not taste like the usual that ended up in the bin. The soup also bland and look like a tub of gelatine and yes went in the bin also Phoned and complained offered us to go back and they would replace it but no refund they were told that we would not be back SHOCKING

I went to chop chop the other night for my sisters birthday meal, it was a very relaxed atmosphere, the staff was so helpful and it only took 20 minutes for our food to be served I would highly recommend chop chop for a Chinese takeaway/restaurant will definitely be back!Brogan

Well that was afa fine, went for our supper and left full and delighted. Chicken satay to die for, on the sizzler, big chunky Veg just as " I like it ".. 5 stars from me.

Went for a meal tonight with my partner our 1 year old and friends and their daughter. We sat in the restraunt and we where the only people there which is shocking at half 7 in the evening! Asked for a high chair for my daughter, it was clarted in food that had been there for a long time as it was stuck to the tray. Ordering was really back to front, the server didn't really seem to have had much training, felt quite embarrassed for her. Food came cold and bland and very very Greesy. Main course Was worse. Our meal got cut short as my friends daughter started to begin feeling unwell and was sick. Asked for the bill £100+ the meal we had was not even worth half of that. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Really not the best. There were aspects which showed promise, the prawn layer on the toast was thicker than some but it was very greasy. The curry main courses were at best bland, at worst I think it actually leached flavour from me. The rice and noodles were standard. On the whole a wasted meal ( going offshore in the morning, wanted a nice meal ) not much more to say, very disappointing.

Suits me, I don't like busy restaurants.I thought Chop Chop was just a run of the mill Chinese takeaway because I'd only ever ordered by phone. We surprised to learn it has a restaurant and decided to visit. I'm very glad we did, it was amazing!!!Service was excellent. The food was very well presented and tasted incredible. Even though it was quiet, we both had a lovely night.I'd recommend this place to anyone. Prices are also very reasonable.

Today was my birthday but due to the horrible weather, my husband decided to celebrate at our home instead. We tried the local chinese restaurant in Port Elphinstone.After we finished ordering, the waitress said that it'll be an hour. An hour and ten minutes later, I called back to see when it's going to arrive. The lady told us nicely that there will be a delay due to bad weather. I agreed and continued to wait for my order. Half an hour later, our food finally arrived. The driver apologized a lot and told us why there was a delay. Although, the delivery took a while, the service and food was amazing! All of my family enjoyed it. Will be orderin again but hopefully the delivery will be quicker.

I have used chop chop for 4 years both I'm the restaurant and take away very regularly. I ordered a take away tonight and it was absolutely disgusting. Chicken balls swimming in grease, batter not cooked and a smell coming from the chicken. None of us this. Normally our favourite!! I called to complain and was told nothing they can do as I didn't call within the hour. Even though I told them food was untouched. Terrible attitude and £33 wasted and put into the bin. Won't be eating here with my family again or ordering any takeaway food. Awful after care and service.

Regularly use the Chop Chop in Port Elphinstone if passing by around dinner time. I have never eaten in the restaurant as it appears to have a very sticky carpet at the bar area that your feet tend to sink into. Leads me to believe there are hygiene issues.In fairness the takeaway food is mainly good and they do offer a fair amount of dishes that differ from the normal Chinese takeaway menus. It is probably one of the better takeaways in the area but then again that's not a difficult standard to set as most of the competition are abysmal in comparison.

Used to enjoying having a Chop Chop takeway although recently the food has been very poor.Twice recently I've had takeaways that I did not enjoy.1st time the rice tasted burnt and the BBQ sauce covering our meal was very poor quality.I thought that this was maybe just a one off and decided to go back a few weeks later. Got home and opened the Egg fried rice was burnt black and again the meal quality was very poor. Won't be using this Chinese again.

Popped in for a take away tonight. It was shocking. I ordered my usual prawn noodle dish. Had weird taste/sauce. I also ordered a special curry. It also was not the usual sauce and contents were poor quality. Put me off - won't be back. Sorry.

Whenever we've ordered the food has been ready quickly, always prepared to great standards. The girls behind the bar are friendly and we've never had a problem with our orders!We use them regularly! :0)

I've only sat in twice, and both times we were almost the only customers. I think the first time was ages ago and we had the buffet which wasn't bad at all. Next time we had a set meal, which wasn't up to much. This is all a fair while back. We have had quite a few take-aways over the years but the quality seems to have gone downhill a bit. Maybe we are just choosing the wrong food. I suspect we might try again as take away customers as it really is comparitively cheap. My brother went there a couple of weeks ago and said it was empty but the food was OK. Not a great recommendation, but not the worst either.

Having recently moved out this direction from Aberdeen we thought we would try the local chinese. On collecting our food we were greeted by two miserable teenage girls who could barley crack a smile anyway we took the food home and weren't bowled over with the quality. The Singapore noodles were just bland and soy sauce seemed to be thrown on in an attempt to give it taste well guess what it failed. Spicy honey chicken wasn't spicy and the shredded beef was soggy. I'm not sure if they are associated with the chop chops in Aberdeen but if they are their food is really disappointing in comparison. This was the first and last time I will eat from here and will be on the lookout for another take away.

To be honest, Chop Chop Express has been serving for a few years. They always deliver great food also ensuring that it's hot. Deliveries are quite fast. Excellent service, always polite and respectful. I normally order deliveries but I went to a sit-down once. It was amazing! The atmosphere was great, the staffs made sure that we were comfortable. My friends never had any complaints, would be better if they made some offers for some events? (Chinese New Year, Christmas ect) Overall, this is the best Chinese restaurant and takeaway I've ever had.

Ok not to sound like a pig but I have had many take aways from this establishment. Our family have always had great quality food and never a sick tummy afterwards. The Sweet and Sour Chicken and Honey Spiced Chicken are to die for. Great portion size and wait time is usually very good for walk-ins. I have never had a sit down meal but I have seen people have it and looks fantastic also. Seems to be doing a huge trade on deliveries. My only downside is some of the servers are quite rude and it seems they constantly change the staff which I can understand as some of hired staff dont seem to care they have a job. In fact the best service is usually from the Chinese run owners and Chinese staff who couldnt be more helpful. Prawn crackers also a little expensive to be honest especially when you are forkin out over £25 as some places you get this free. Overall clearly best takeaway in Inverurie and Port and puts Mike quality and prices to shame. Well done Chop Chop...great food.

Must admit we have not dined in at their restaurant but know friends who have and no complaints there. We have had many (delivered) takeaways during the past few years, the food is excellent, always piping hot, reasonably priced and the Curry sauces are to die for...Fast delivery most of the time (a little longer at the weekend) Just SUPERB food at the right price, but a word of warning, the chips "Fries to you Americans" are excellent but do not order more than one serving per person as you do get rather a lot...
