Ordered a delivery takeaway, food was cold and tasteless so needless to say we won’t make the same mistake twice! 👎

Been a few times now, food is always superb and is well priced. Never disappointed when we visit.

Superb meal, the mid week 2 course deal for 2 people with an additional discount for collection came in at less than £10 per head (that was us ordering an extra 2 naan breads & 1 rice) And they gave us complimentary poppadoms with sauces.

Our first time ordering from here and it was amazing. We had the set for 2 people and was more than enough to share for 3/4 people.a bit of a wait for delivery but worth it 5 star 🌟

We have always been a fan of the Monday to Thursday meal special. However, the meal we received last night did not meet the expectations we had formed from our previous experiences. Both the lanb and chicken in our curries was tough rather than tender, the bhajis appeared dry and overcooked and the chicken tikka was, for us, so dry it was inedible. Sorry, but not sure we will be back. Update: Disappointed that after 5 months there has been no response, whilst positive reviews have received comments!

Unfortunately had a bad experience last time about a year ago with food being very watered down chicken curry was like thin chicken soup the rest of the order was not that great either We’ll below what I’ve had from them in the past Called to complain after being a returning customer 8/9 times in the past My response was the guy who answered the phone said he made the food himself 🤷🏻‍♂️ & will do a little something on my next order Won’t be returning

I'm new to Inverurie and I'm working my way around the local restaurants and take aways. So far I've been impressed and can't argue against the positive reviews of other places. I tried Daawat tonight and was appalled by the slow delivery, quality and quantity of the food. The original estimate was 35-50mins for delivery. I ordered because of the wait time. It wasn't far short of 2 hours before delivery was made. That is an unacceptable time to wait for a delivery. I've eaten a lot of currys, but this was one of the worst. The curry container was half full, had only a few bits of chicken and was very watery. The pakora was undercooked and I only got 5 small bits. The quality of food was not acceptable. The chef must have noticed the curry was a sloppy mess and a half portion. Why was the predicted delivery 35mins and end up over three times that? Reading reviews across other sites this is a common problem. Please stop advising short delivery times when you are miles out. That is unfair on customers. How was clearly substandard food allowed to leave the kitchen and be sent to a customer? These are mistakes that shouldn't happen. I hope the management read this and respond. I see the other responses on here are rather generic and don't accept negatives or address the points.

New to area and delivers. Ordered early as I know weekend can be busy. Food was excellent with good amount of spice. Food arrived hot and was fresh. Really enjoyed. Would definitely order again.

Very salty Onion Bhaji (have been fine before), Lamb could have been more tender. All felt a bit rushed, has been been better previously, hopefully only a blip.

Called with a large order and we were out beyond Insch. Wasn't a problem for them, delivered by a very friendly guy. Food was gorgeous, everyone enjoyed it! Thank you 😊

Food was very nice when it eventually arrived. Was an hour and 20 minutes late. Staff very apologetic and polite. Would order from here again but definitely put the order in at least 2 hours before I actually want to eat!

We ordered a takeaway from here when staying in Old Meldrum recently. The food arrived about an hour late, which wasn’t great, although in fairness it was a very foggy night and coming from Inverurie and so we did give a fair degree of latitude to the restaurant on this. The food itself was great, very tasty, and I would recommend it. Would order from here again if in the area.

The curry and rice were top notch but pakora and poppadoms were almost cold

Ordered from here several times before and food is always good, however tonight they really dropped the ball. I know they are busy but our delivery order is over 2 hours late, and still not here. When I phoned again to complain they dismissed my concerns and got very abrupt with me on the phone. They then hung up on me. I still have no idea where my meal is. I wont order from them again as their customer service leaves so much to be desired.

We order here regularly - and every time has been fab ! Great curries , breads and sides ! Definitely the best take out curry in Inverurie

Waited 1.5 hour to get delivered. Food was cold ,very watery, Oily and tasteless. Won't be back again . Very disappointing.

Ordered online, beware you must have cash if you don’t use a card when ordering. Waited 10 mins beyond the time we were told to be there, no apology. Waiting area not really pleasant and folk wondering about without masks. Food quite oily and bland. Go to the Rajpoot!

We had a ordered a meal from Daawatt in Inverurie as we was in the area at the time we took it home to Aberdeen from Inverurie & the meals were still very warm the time we got home we opted for the chicken korma and the Daawatt -E-Rasam both with rice. The containers we got our meals in were full to the brim and you couldn’t get anymore in if you tried both dishes were full of taste and the Rasam had a we bit of a kick to it which I wast expecting and very tasty my partner and I both said that we would defiantly go back again

Never had a problem with here but, tonight my little sister found a metal sharp object like something from a peg in her curry.

Tried Daawat for the first time tonight after positive reviews, have to say it was a little bit of a letdown. Food was very oily, I had butter chicken and had to scoop the oil out before eating. My wife had the same problem with her garlic chilli chicken. However chicken pokaora and the chips were great. Taste was ok. Price reasonable and you get 10% off for collection, COVID measures in place, however it wouldn’t be my first choice Indian in Inverurie.

Had a carry out for our evening meal last night we had a special set meal for two Tuesday to Thursday for £16.95 this included starters and mains salad and Nan bread with rice . For the main courses we ordered a karahi akbori special which had chicken lamb and prawns. And a red elephant which had lamb. We also ordered a portion of chips total price came to £19.95 which included £1 pound surcharge because of the special. The food was first class and the red elephant was amazing this is the first time I have eaten from Daawat it won’t be the last as I can highly recommend it . 👍

If watery, awful tasting curry with chewy chicken that makes you question if it really is “chicken” is your kind of thing then you should definitely eat here. My favourite part about the whole experience was when my food arrived after 2 hours when we were told 50 minutes. The experience came with a cherry on top when parts of the order was missing. Then when I expressed how disappointed I was the person at the end of the phone had clearly had enough for the day and was quite abrasive. They sent the poor delivery driver back (who was very helpful by the way!) to refund my items missing after an hour. I definitely would never eat here again and I’m concerned for what tomorrow might bring. Shame this place will never fill the boots of the Nazma which was previously based at this place.

Food was tasty and fresh the shop clean and tidy unlike someplaces that look rundown and staff was friendly would recomend them as the food served was great

Been a few times now and tried a few dishes. Favourites so far are pathia and ‘flame’ - like the flame with a wee bit extra kick. Rice, nan bread and starters have all been good. I’m planning on trying a few different dishes still as anything we’ve had so far has been good, might as well work through the menu! Staff in the shop are all 👍as well.

Saturday night takeawtakeaway is always a treat, but overall this was a disappointment 😣 Onion bajee was like a pancake in form and soggy with little flavour (spiced onions were the best part!). Lamb madras was ok but needed some more spice. Biggest issue was the South Indian Garlic King Prawn - half cloves (???) of undercooked garlic and little chilli were a bad start but the 4 prawns were over and under cooked - how do you even do that???? And all food was very oily which was pretty unappetising. A bad 1st meal from this new game in town. A 2nd is highly unlikely given the competition....

Another excellent take out meal delivered to our door. Food was delicious and brilliant value for money. We had the Tuesday to Thursday special deal set meal and it was superb. Our takeaway Indian of choice. Give them a try.

Fantastic takeaway. Arrived in good time and everything hot. Best indian food I have tasted in the area.

Have really enjoyed our last two takeaways!
