We had the set meal for 2 and it was fabulous, although there was so much food that we didn’t get all the way through the meal. Everything was cooked freshly and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself was spotless and looks recently renovated, and the lady serving was lovely and very attentive without being overbearing. At the moment there is no alcohol licence but for a small corkage charge we were able to pop into Tesco next door and bring our own wine in.

I should start by saying I very rarely go out my way to write reviews but considering It cost me £16.10 for a terrible meal which consisted of a Thai green chicken curry, steamed rice, prawn crackers and the starter dish chicken satay skewers then I thought I should to warn others. Starting with the skewers, these actually tasted quite good and it was a bigger portion than I’d expected so that was a bonus. But it was served with about a tablespoon of satay sauce which just simply isn’t enough for the amount of chicken you get. The Thai green curry which happens to be my absolute favourite Thai dish and have had it all over and eaten it hundreds of times, had to be the worst Iv ever had. The chicken was a strange orange / red colour. Sauce is so so so runny, Id say the same consistency of water so If they have used coconut milk as stated on the menu then they have used it sparingly and topped up with water. The sauce is extremely spicy yet there was no warning on the menu such as the standard chilli peppers that’s often shown on menus such as; 🌶 🌶 🌶 🌶 🌶 🌶 So if you don’t like spice do be warned. The rice wasn’t light and fluffy you’d expect from steamed rice, it was more of the consistency of what you’d expect from sticky rice. And the prawn crackers were extremely stale, I wouldn’t even expect that if they were free, but they cost £2.50! If you’d like a good Thai dish whilst in Banff I’d recommend going to the chinese “happy palace” they’re Thai dishes are delicious and much much cheaper.

We had a takeaway whilst visiting post lock down while staying at a local self catering lodge. The food was good and I really enjoyed my green curry. My partners red curry was very disappointing, about 95% of the curry sauce had fallen out the container into the bag (see photos). His curry dish was good but had hardly any sauce as it was all in the bag and all over the containers. It was a huge mess and took a lot of cleaning up. The food was double bagged so we are unsure if they were aware it had spilled when they handed it over so decided to double bag it as well as the juice was all over the first bag. We would have given it 5 stars but due to my partners meal being all over us and the bag it ruined his meal.

We started early at 4, they were just setting up, my daughter had the fixed menu, lovely starters, duck, soup with massive prawns, then 3 main dishes with rice & noodles, we ended up taking loads home for the next day!. I loved the salt n pepper squid & dumplings. I was recommended the duck n mango, but the sauce was too hot for me, so my daughter had it the next day. Dessert was a fantastic cheese cake! It got very busy with takeout, but we didn’t mind, we weren’t in a rush, plus theres so much food you need a break between courses, the mixed rice was lovely. We didn’t mind there wasn’t a licence for alcohol, room wasn’t over warm & they don’t have a card machine, cash only

Went with friends for dinner: we received a warm welcome into this delightfully decorated restaurant by the lovely staff. The menu is extensive and we eventually decided (with some assistance). The presentation was beautiful and the taste of everything was also. The plates were heated and the food was piping hot. Portions were ample. As said in other reviews they do not have a licence so one of the party went round to Tesco for some wine. We enjoyed it so much we have booked a table to go again and are really looking forward to it.

We visited on a Wednesday night and the resteraunt was three quarters full. No drinks licence so BYOB. The waitress explained this and said we could go to Tesco to buy alcohol if required, we had already done so and had a bottle of wine in hand. We were offered an ice bucket and corkage was charged at a fiver. This used to be the old Station Bar, and the new resteraunt has remodelled tastefully, a mixture of booths and tables. Food, we ordered a mixed starter to share and a Massam Chicken curry and Chicken Pad Kee Mao, a spicy Chicken stir fry. Both starter and mains were excellent, just the right amount of spices to give the dishes a kick. We had a fried rice and salt and pepper chips, rice could have been bigger but we didn't leave hungry so must've been the right amount. Overall nice ambience and food made this a great night out.

I visited lemongrass on a Friday night shortly after it opened. The staff were friendly and showed us to our table. They didn’t have a licence so it was soft drinks only. The mixed starter was lovely especially the ribs and satay. I opted for the green Thai with rice and of course chips. Absolutely faultless

After some difficulty contacting this restaurant, as we couldn’t find a telephone number (01261 812849), we decided to just get in the car and go there. The first thing that hits you is how you are greeted, very pleasantly and with ready smiles. Good seating, very clean, pleasant atmosphere, and low background music. This restaurant has only been opened for two weeks. There was so much choice on the menu, that we decided to opt for the set menu at £25 per head, just to experience the different types of food on offer. There was four of us at the table, I don’t think we had expected the amount of food that we had. We received 5 courses Mixed starters, Crispy Aromatic Duck,Tom Yum Goong (huge prawns), Beef Panang, Goong Pad Khing, Chicken and Corn Soup, Honey Chilli Chicken, Egg fried rice & noodles. And ending with Cheesecake, or another dessert of choice. The first thing we experienced was the eating with your eyes, as the presentation of the food, could only be described, as beautiful. We ate and we ate, the plates were hot, the food when served was even hotter. They even cater for personal choice, e.g. don’t want a hot curry, not a problem it will be made milder for your taste. The food itself was fresh and expertly cooked, and was simply delicious. The one thing to note is that at present they do not have a drinks licence, we took our own wine, and they charged us a minimal corkage. The whole experience was one where you felt that you have a wonderful dining experience, a great night out with friends, and value for money. I think That this gem of a restaurant, when more people become aware of it’s existence it is going to be recognised as the place to go for a thoroughly good night out. We will be without a shadow of a doubt be going there again.
