Chop Chop express is right up there as possibly the best Chinese takeaway in Aberdeen. Great tasty food, good size portions. We have tried loads from the menu i highly recommend this place. It also wins hands down for the best salt and pepper munchie box anywhere in Aberdeen. I have tried food from many of the Chinese takeaways all over Aberdeen and by far this is my 1st choice.

Once again I find another run of the mill Chinese take away in Aberdeen, nothing wrong, but nothing to shout about.Had honey chilli chicken and fried rice partner chicken fried rice with curry sauce and spring rolls(meat).portions are healthy size,but food is just average for me ,not bad just ok.so if your in the area yeah why not ,but go across town for it not really.

We were gutted when we realised you guys were closed for holiday this week! Every time we order, the staff are friendly, quick and the food is always delicious 😋

I used to come to Chop Chop all the time, 3 times a week sometimes (too much I know but it was because of the shifts I worked and because it was THAT good) and it was my favourite chinese in Aberdeen. I didn’t live close by but I would still drive over to collect it and it was always worth it. They knew my name and my order and I would chat away to them when I’d collect. This was a few years ago now and in the last few years I’ve tried to avoid this chinese (which makes me sad) because the food is just not even nearly as good as it was. I am a fussy eater and I really struggle to find food I like. I would always order the chicken satay skewers and they used to be the best, I couldn’t ever find a chinese that had skewers I liked so I stuck with chop chop for a long time. I moved to Edinburgh for about a year and a half in 2018 and since then they have not been the same. The skewers have a funny taste, are a funny colour and have an off putting smell. Sometimes the chicken is a really strange texture. They do not taste of satay at all. The chips are usually stale like, however on my order today they were more on the undercooked side and I had quite a few that were hard. Today I also ordered the prawn toast which did not taste like prawns at all. Inside it looked more like chicken and tasted like chicken. My order today was a waste of money because the chicken was so bad I didn’t want to eat it and the prawn toast and soggy / hard chips weren’t enjoyable at all. My vegan ex used to love the veggie options back then but also feels it’s not at all the same anymore and he has managed to find somewhere with better food. I occasionally try to give Chop Chop another go as I just think of how good it used to be but it’s always incredibly disappointing and it makes me sad because I’ve had to try and find a new chinese and I haven’t found a new favourite yet. I will not be back.

Absolutely the best Chinese in aberdeen! Delicious, nutritious, flavoursome and well presented food each time. Introduced to this restaurant by my teenage daughter about 3 years ago and we don’t use anywhere else now. They cater extensively for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. Very warm, friendly and humorous reception on telephone ordering. They can’t do enough to cater for your needs. Thank you so much

Chicken starter with seaweed is very nice

Really good Chinese takeaway in my opinion the best in Aberdeen and I have tried many the only one that comes close is the royal crown in Torry that used to be named pearl city, have tried tried the canton house before used to he decent but I find quality has went down hill alot if the Chinese takeaways I find the chicken awful if you could even call it that it's like rubbery jelly doesn't even resemble chicken, there are a few that still are decent and use good ingredients and chop chop express are one of them fantastic tasty food old school chinese takeaway that use proper ingredients at an affordable price really like the food here and delivery is really fast aswell we stay in bridge of Don and always have were food in about 20-25 minutes after phoning thanks chop chop express please don't change like so many other Chinese takeaway have

I ordered my meal at 6.30 for 7.30 delivery. I received it just after 8pm & it was cold😢 I also ordered an extra BBQ but never got it but I was charged for it. Very disappointed as most of the reviews were good. 1st time I’ve ordered from here 😪😪😪

My flatmate turned me on to this place last year and I wouldn't order from anywhere else. The food is always piping hot when it arrives, and the quality of the food is better than any Chinese I can think of. The chicken shreds are incredible and the beef with cashew nuts is amazing as well. Rice always tastes fresh and the chef is always happy to add extra garlic to mine. The food always arrives super quickly and the service on the phone and in person is brilliant.

Food was nice and reasonably priced would visit again

I never usually write a review about places especially CHOP CHOP as I have always enjoyed their food and their quick delivery service. But I ordered tonight at 5.55pm and our food didn't arrive until nearly 7pm. This is very unusual as delivery drivers are pretty quick as we live not far from the take-away. Our food was nice but not hot and the chips were cold and not crispy like usual. I think it was a new driver who maybe got lost. I just hope the next time we order we get our usual driver as was pretty disappointing.

Paid for extra prawns got 3 in dish.

Best Chinese in Aberdeen. The food tastes well made and not saturated in oil. The staff couldn't be more friendly.

This is a place I keep coming back to every week. The food here is delicious and always fresh. I particularly enjoy starters and fish dishes. The staff are extremelly friendly and helpful. They always greet you with a smile and have your order ready in no time.

Had a lovely meal there for my birthday, fantastic service, very fast, food was delicious! I highly recommend getting the steak bites, they are to die for! Melanie and Daniel were absolutely wonderful and delivered excellent service and made it an all round great experience! Will definitely go back

As we give reviews on Google, we should always recommend the best places we find. I found this hidden gem Chop Chop Express. The Munchie Box for £12.90 is amazing! This Munchie Box is the best in Aberdeen, better than all 12 I have tried in Aberdeen. Plenty of food, well cooked, very clean & open. Give it a try you will love it.

Special "chicken shreds " are to die for... call up and orders can be tailored to suit. I have a mushroom allergy and so far after, jeezo? A year or more, no problems with any in food. Great service, great delivery guys.

Chow Mein tasted of soap and was stone cold. Salt And Pepper chicken was even worse, absolutely drowning in grease. And when I went back up to the place to complain, all I got was aggression from the folk at the till. Not to mention getting a dose of the runs the next day. Avoid.

Worst take away I've ever had Very rude when I phoned and complain about the chicken shreds they was burnt and really hard Chicken balls where all over the bag the sauce pot had opened all over the food. Called them and said I wouldn't get a refund and then said to my 14year old brother to f.. K off and stop calling Won't be back

We got the salt and pepper munchie box which had chicken bites, chicken balls, ribs, chicken wings, noodles and chips for £12.50 (We had eaten some already hence why it may not be in the picture, sorry). You also got the choice between BBQ, Sweet and Sour and Curry sauce. We ate this between two people and struggled to finish it as there was a lot of food but it was really fine and well worth it!

Ordered two meals, chicken fried rice with curry sauce and a chicken chow mein. Husband said his chicken rice was stodgy and the curry sauce was not pleasant. The curry sauce has a strange taste and seemed like a cheap instant curry sauce and not made fresh. My chicken chow mein ended up in the bin. The sauce that was in the chow mein was vile and not like a chow mein sauce I’ve ever tasted before. Will not return or recommend

Am gutted they have changed the salt n pepper munchy box . They have taken away quarter of the box and replaced it with noodles which r to hot to eat . Will not be buying or recommending again.

Reasonable prices, great quality food with fast preparation and friendly staff. What more could you want from your neighbourhood Chinese. Worst day of the week is Chop Chop's rest day. Little side story: I looked all over the UK for a Chinese that did Chicken Shreds / smoked chicken the way my old local did. I searched far and wide only to move a few streets away from the one and true shop by coincidence. Try the chop chop chicken shreds if you haven't already, they're gold.

Chop Chop have recently started making salt and pepper munchie boxes. Salt and pepper chips, salt and pepper chicken, spare ribs, chicken wings, chicken balls served with sweet and sour sauce, although I changed it to BBQ sauce. All of this for less than £12! Far too much for one person but delicious.

Tuve esta comida para llevar, que iba a ser un pollo al curry con arroz hervido, me enviaron una salsa de carne de res y blackbean con arroz frito, los llamé por teléfono y me dijeron que podía cambiarlo por otro, me llevó 1 hora para la primera entrega y 1 hora y media para la segunda entrega.

I see some reviewers raving about this place because it's got an "open kitchen" but from what I can see it's a bit of an illusion. Perhaps they swirl around a bit of veg and make some clanging noises for effect because the red Thai curry I received was defo out of an industrial vat and tasted and looked exactly like all the others I have had from Chinese takeaways in Aberdeen, I.e. absolutely bland. People are easily fooled it seems. Plus the rice and noodles were cold.

Having used Chop Chop so many times we've had great and not so great meals but most of time they're fab. Quick service and reasonable price. Recommend the starters!!

this take away has a good amount of choice and as a party of 16 no one was disappointed with their meal. Good value for money and didn't take long to make good choice

will never order from chop chop again. ordered salt and pepper ribs and chicken strips. no taste to them at all. chicken was burnt to a crisp (which when we phoned to complain they said it was susposed to be like that) ribs were greasy. Chicken curry was mostly sauce and only 3 pieces of chicken in it. told them to take food back as was just disgusting not worth the money at all and wont be eating from here again

Tuvimos una excelente pizzería chino desde aquí durante su estancia en Aberdeen por unas pocas semanas. Está muy concurrido, que siempre es una buena señal. magnífico servicio, trajeron rápidamente, la comida es increíble La calidad de la comida era más que en un restaurante de la calidad normal que se puede esperar de una pizzería chino. Nos gustó tanto, pedimos otra comida unas cuantas noches más tarde. La comida es un poco más caro de lo que normalmente pagar por una comida china, pero se obtiene lo que se paga y vale la pena el costo adicional. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente la salsa y el pato!

No he estado en CHOP de Chop. Somos asiduos aquí y normalmente la comida es buena y razonable de buena relación calidad-precio, sin embargo, para un cambio que colocan fuera orden en la tienda en lugar de que lo trajeran. Gracias Dios nos hizo. Mientras estaba sentado en la tienda esperando en nuestro pedido una mujer vino en volver una porción de pollo ahumado de maíz porque ella había pedido pollo dulce y amarga. Ella había dado cuenta que tenían la orden equivocado hasta que ella había vaciado la comida a su plato que ya había arroz frito.

Fantastic as always, the chicken fried rice is excellent, as is the crispy shredded chicken, sweet and sour chicken, won tons, spring rolls; have never had a bad experience, always on time and delivery driver is a pleasure.

My partner and I ordered 3 starters (Spring Rolls, Chicken Wings and Chicken Shreds), 1 Hot and Sour soup, 2 main courses (Chicken Kung Po and Chicken Curry) and a portion of soft noodles and chips and it all came to under £30 with delivery.I was very sceptical when we ordered as £3.99 for a main course normally means the quality might suffer but I have to say it was all very good.The chicken wings were really meaty and not the small things that you normally get and also a very healthy portion.My partner who likes Hot & Sour soup thought it was superb and it had plenty of veg and meat filling.I don't normally order the curry dishes when I have Chinese take away as it could be very hit or miss but I have to say it was very flavourful. I might even ask for a but more spice next time but it was good all the same.We will definitely be ordering again.P.S We didn't finish everything that night but had left overs for lunch the next day, yippee!

Never had a bad chinese here - ignore the bright sign and seemingly too cheap to be true prices - great quality, great service over the phone for collection and perfect portion sizes.

Just had a meal from them and it was the worst food i have ever tasted.will never go back there. without exception all food delivered was deep fried and crucified, £40 wasted, most of it ended up in the bin. If we'd picked up in person we would have sent it back and asked for a refund...

This has to be the best takeaway in town food is tasty and hot and a good price too.I normally get it delivered but have picked up before and have to say its the cleanest takeaway i have ever seen, with its open kitchen its not so bad having to wait for food too.As a side note we normally have to wait just under an hour for delivery which is the only bad point.
