Chit 'N' Chaat Cheadle in Stockport

I think it's a popular place for many but I found the food very oily rather than flavoursome. However, I'm not a huge meat eater and people who are, may have a different experience. Service was good and no issues with the place itself.

I have horrendous food poisoning from here. Had a takeaway on Saturday night and two days later I am still very ill. All of us that ordered were ill only a few hours after eating it. Won't be going again and will go to the tiffin rooms over the road instead. They have a 5 star food hygiene rating instead of the 3 here! Edit To respond to their response. The only meal that all 3 of us ate from the same was the one from here so it was 100% from here. Avoid!!

*WARNING* Had the best food here, the server was so quick we ordered so many dishes but they made sure to give them one by one so the food doesn’t cold. Smart work by the server 👏 Was craving Vada Pav and I had the best time having it so much so that we ended up ordering a second plate. Top notch dahi puri and Samosa chaat. 100/100 experience this is literally my go to place ❤️

Dosa was nice and Pau Bhaji but Crispy Bhajiya was bit greasy and not very nice. Overall good service.

Nice food. I love the fact that you can find food that you do not find in other restaurants e.g maki di roti and saag (cornflour chapati and spinach). We love that. I think they’ve also increased the spice level ( or I’ve gone softer) which makes the food much tastier. I would prefer if the tea was made rather than from powder.

For the amount of food we got it came out really fast and efficiently. 10/10 recommend trying everything

My reason for this score is small portion. I have ordered 2 naans and still wasn't enough for everyone to eat. Food was good is jut not enough couple peaces of meat and just souce. I have spend £40 and family is still hungry.

Pleasantly Surprised by the quality of the food and service do not judge by the small space, great choice of food and great atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back.

Food took an hour and a half to come, it came cold and one of the main meals wasn’t in the bag. I called the restaurant to let them know an item was missing and they were very rude and didn’t offer to replace it.

Nice small shop for Indian street food, also some Indochinese offerings. Great food, very reasonably priced, good service. A little difficult to park at peak times as no dedicated parking.

Good food, great prices - a tad spicy, but in my opinion, for street food, it has the upper hand over the other 3 similar restaurants in Cheadle - definitely much better than the Chit n Chaat in Rusholme

Absolutely Excellent! Streets foods deserve a 5 star stars for their amazing food, delivery time and customer service but 5 🌟 it is! They are the nicest hardworking people and they make THE BEST chicken briani and fish pakora If you’re looking for something new to try they have incredible dishes on the Chef Specialities which I’ve also tried and they’re soo tasty! I would highly recommend chit and chat - best Indian takeaway In Cheadle ..or the stockport !!I’ve will tell everyone I know But GO order it you won’t regret it 😋

What a wonderful evening. The food was so tasty. Each dish getting better. Can’t wait to go back and try even more dishes. But what makes this evening was the staff, every member had great knowledge of the menu. All took their time to explain each dish. They were happy and smiling. Nothing was to much trouble. The best customer service I have had in a very long time. This is how service should be. Thank you for a lovely experience.

As always amazing experience with Indian street food. Out all different excellent foods Makki ki roti and Sarson ka saag, typical North Indian pujabi food was superb. Having tested different food places in Manchester and around I would highly recommend to try Chit’N’chat Cheadle for authentic experience.

Took my team out for a treat. The staff were promptly getting us drinks and menus. Food order taken and when the food arrived it came to the person who ordered it without asking. Top notch food, best Gobi Manchurian I’ve had.

Horrible experience at this restaurant. I booked a table for 4 online a couple of hours before we wanted to go as we had some last minute plans. Despite this, I recieved a confirmation email. Upon arrival, a staff member said to give him a minute, shut the door and went inside. We waited outside for about 5 mins and then he came back asking why we were still here. He laughed at us for making a last minute booking and thinking we would get a table (even though we booked through their website). He told us better luck next time - there definitely will not be a next time. Our whole party felt embarrassed and dejected and it lowered our mood for the rest of the evening. If they had no availability or if it was too short notice, we should not have been able to book a table or get a confirmation email. The communication from the staff member was very poor - no apology, no polite words, the tone was very condescending. Please sort out your booking process and your communication so that other customers do not feel the same. I’m sure the food may have been great but nothing makes up for poor communication. I have never wrote a review before but this whole situation was really annoying and frustrating. We have always wanted to try this place but now we will not be returning. Do better.

Excellent!! First time visiting and wasnt disappointed. Food was 10 out of 10 and faultless. Ordered a mixture of dishes to try between us as we like the idea of Indian tapas and sharing. Everything was superb, which included fish, prawns, chicken and lamb, plus the spicy paneer and aloo were the best i have tried in the Cheadle area. Naan was piping hot and straight out the oven. Staff were perfect all evening. Very high quality and fresh street food, a must try!

Easiest 5 I've given. Delicious inner home cooked flavours with service just as good. Won't be long before we're back. Superb

Went for a Sunday brunch and as always excellent food. What makes it very special is the fact that the service is marvellous. Food was served in no time and the staff is very responsive and they almost take care of you as a family member. Starters options are very good and you can taste delicacies from different part of India.

please do something about your pop-up at Cheshire Oaks. Needs more management, Bought a few vadapavs, after shopping, to take away. The filling was absolutely burnt and charred but nicely dressed up to hide it. Could not eat even one mouthful! Your staff would have picked the absolute worst pieces of vadas to put in our order. It was too late to return as we were halfway home and very tired. Your pop up is tainting your reputation,

The food was delicious, so tasty and we had a ten year old who preferred mild spice and they were able to oblige. We all had different mains and tried each others and they were all amazing, as was the service.

The food at Chit & Chat is tapas style. The quality and flavours of the dishes we ordered was fantastic, definitely give this place a try you won’t be disappointed.

It was my first time dining at Chit ‘n’ Chaat and I will definitely be back. Everything was great but what stood out was the wonderful service and the delicious food.

What an amazing find this place is, I considered keeping it to myself! I am a huge lover of Indian food but had not yet tried proper Indian street food and today I was able to finally tick that off, and oh my God was it amazing!! It was everything I had ever imagined and more! I was very excited to finally try Paani Puri after seeing it all over social media and it was even better than I imagined! I highly recommend anyone who comes here to try it at least once- you will not be disappointed! We also ordered a chicken biriyani, Masala Dosa, Reshmi Kebab, and Stuffed Kulcha, as well as some tea. All of the food was absolutely incredible. It was a whole experience with all the different flavours and spices tying in together so well and complementing each other. Not a single bland bite but also not overly spicy, it was just perfect! Everything was so fresh and hot, and arrived super quickly. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and were very kind to explain the different dishes to us and the traditional way to eat them. They checked on us a few times which was very nice and we got to chat about the food and how good it was. This is such an amazing place, it definitely deserves a huge hype. I don’t think I could ever order takeaway again after this lovely experience we had here today! We can’t wait to come back again and again and bring friends and family to share this amazing food experience with them! A massive well done to all the staff and a huge thank you for our lovely dinner!

Wow, wow, wow. The food was amazingly delicious, nothing like I’ve had in Britain before, I took my 19 year old daughter tonight on a spur of the moment dinner. The food is excellent, so, so flavourful, and with it being our first time the waitress suggested some options… they were the best options… I would highly recommend, and will definitely be recommending. Thank you Chit Chat for a lovely dinner.

This was our first time eating here and we were very impressed. It's mostly a tapas style menu. We ordered five dishes between two adults and one toddler and we all came out feeling full - so pretty generous portions. The chaat and fish fritters were particularly delicious. I'd say about £15-20 per person to eat and drink really well. Will definitely come back!

We were disappointed by the unacceptable behavior of some staff members, particularly towards South Indians, who were not served well. While we've been regular customers at Chit and Chat, today's experience was disheartening. We hope the management addresses this issue promptly to ensure better service for all customers in the future

This is one of the best Indian restaurant in Manchester. The food tastes very authentic. We have visited a few times and never disappointed. All the staff are very welcoming especially Shravani. Thank you.

Lovely staff and excellent food. A bit on the pricier side. Limited parking outside but plenty of town centre car parks within walking distance. Ginger or masala tea highly recommended.

Fantastic place in Cheadle. Visited on a Friday evening and there was a great atmosphere. Staff were extremely helpful and explained the menu and provided recommendations which was great. All the food we tried was amazing and we could not fault a thing. Really good quality and amazing taste. We will definitely be visiting again.

The food was amazing. Perfect taste of the Indian street foods. Service was really good. Fast service of the food. Went with less expectation but the service and food was above and beyond. Definitely people should try Dhai puri and pav bhaji which were delicious and had the same taste as we have in India. Spl mention to the amristari fish. The fish was so soft on the inside and batter was crispy on the outside. Mini idly with sambar was absolutely amazing. Kids enjoyed the food well. They do spiciness according to our taste. Once if we visit we will definitely feel we need to visit again.

Unlike the chitnchat in currymile the food in the Cheadle was not great. No salt, no required spice and food was not tasty at all. Waste of money and time.

Amazing food! Friendly service and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend the dosa, lamb chops, Manchurian gobi cauliflower. Very baby friendly - had high chairs and even bought out a little bread roll for the baby which she loved ☺️ We will be back!

Came here with my partner for a celebratory mad Friday meal after finishing work for the holidays. We'd heard good things and wow did Chit 'N' Chaat live up to those expectations. Amazing Streetfood, flawless service. A real friendly and welcoming vibe to the restaurant as whole. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal out in Cheadle!

Dined here as a four last night - the food was incredible and the service was so welcoming and wholesome. We shared 10 dishes between the four of us and each one was packed full of flavour and very filling. Great options for both veggies and meat eaters and the staff explained a lot of the dishes that came out, how best to eat them, garnishes etc. Would highly recommend Chit n Chaat, and I’ve been to a handful of Indian Street Food vendors over the years.

We ordered golgappe and papri chaat. While the golgappe were flavorful, the papri chaat was disappointing. Moreover, the lady who served us was very rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend visiting this branch. For a pleasant experience with excellent customer service, I suggest the Wilmslow branch.
