I always remember Chiquito as being an exciting place to visit when I was younger, but recently whenever I have eaten at one of their restaurants the experience is quite average - akin to that of a McDonald's. Service can be pretty mediocre also I'm afraid, but it depends obviously on location.

Absolutely over the moon… it was my bday today. I went there for a meal and when I ordered my desert the lovely lady brought me a plate to say Happy Birthday on it. I have forgot her name but she is credit to your business. Very thoughtful and lovely lady x

Amazing service. I forgot to get his name but he was so friendly and chatty. Nothing was too much for him. Food was quick although it was quiet so can't speak for busier times. Food was absolutely gorgeous. I am not a spicy food person but it was so tasty. Portions are huge so was able to take it home in a takeaway box. Coffee was lovely and really enjoyed the ice tea. Boyfriend had the steak which he said was great and he is fussy with food so must be good! 25% student discount also! Will definitely be returning soon thanks!

The staff are kind, patients and sociable making the experience all the better. Additionally the drinks were delivered quickly with fabulous main courses shortly followed. I opted for the Texan BBQ Burger and it was absolutely phenomenal. The only issue I have with it all is the price. I would have expected more for £20. Tables, glass and floor overall very clean, however I couldn’t help but noticed the cobweb-ridden fake plants outside. I recommend that they get cleaned. Overall, very very pleased and ended a night perfectly.

Myself and my family were asked to leave by zeik who said he was the manager because I said my steak wasn't cooked right and my wife and daughter raps came out with virtually no chicken. out of 7 meals 3 came out wrong and when we asked for them to be replaced we were asked to leave what ever happened to the customer is always right? Id give this one a miss very embarrassing situation ruined our family day out.

Second visit here and it was sub par compared to our first visit which was flawless. Food as per was excellent, unfortunately the service was so poor one of us asked next door at Frankie and Benny's if they had room for us. Once seated we felt abandoned, took 30 mins to get drinks and another 30 mins to get food ordered. No advice on long wait times just sat and ignored.

First time at the restaurant, enjoyed every minute of it, fast service and friendly staff. Fabulous food and I am a very picky person, will definitely recommend and will be going back soon 🙂

Waited 1 hr past delivery time to be told by the restaurant that the driver hadn’t shown up. When we went to collect they informed us he had been but got tired of waiting so he left. Also forgot part of the order. Overall not a great experience. Won’t be ordering again

Billy allocated us to a very quiet and cozy table and was absolutely lovely, had a good chat at the end and the food was spot on! Coming back 100%

One star is only for the male member serving us the food today. Really cold restaurant with tired manager who has an attitude problem maybe because we were asians. She just wasn’t happy to serve us and kept refusing to everything. While serving food she was dropping food on the table with no apology for the same. Definitely doesn’t deserve to be the manager or supervisor! But the male staff serving us today, special Thank you to him to look after us. He had brilliant customer service.

We went there for a birthday party and it seemed like they were short staffed. There was one male staff member who was trying to go over and beyond in providing excellent service in the means he had, where as a lady staff member possibly the manager had terrible attitude. While serving food on the table she was dropping it off the plates on the table with no apology for what she was doing. Really needs to work on her attitude to deserve being the manager or even supervisor if that’s what she is!

Good place, would definitely use again, they honoured a deal with 30% off the bill with a valid cinema ticket. Food was hot, well presented and cooked to perfection, service was great, can't fault the waiter/ waitress. The restraint was clean, warm and welcoming. All on all one of the better Chiquitos in the chain

Chiquitos has always been a favourite place to eat for me but the restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent had been closed down. So we were looking forward to eating at the Broughton restaurant on our recent visit to chester. On arrival the restaurant was pretty quiet. The staff were helpful and friendly on entry. My wife has allergies and was catered for excellently. Unfortunately the food was served quite quickly, but when it arrived was rather lack lustre. I ordered the chimichanga which looked and tasted fine but was half the size it normally is, the tortilla chips on the side were stale and tasteless and the amount of salsa/sour cream/guacamole was laughable the only saving grace was the skin on fries were fresh and hot ( for a change). Non of the staff asked if we would like any additional sauces or dips. If this is the way they are serving up food I'm not surprised they are going out of business.

Zeke provided brilliant customer service, the food was fast fresh and hot, Zeke went above and beyond with his service on our visit, checked in to make sure the food was good, friendly polite and all round a very pleasant atmosphere.

You put a meat burrito in the box labelled 'five bean chilli' (the vegetarian box). As someone whos been vegetarian their whole life this is not acceptable and shouldn't have happened. You clearly weren't being careful when packaging and no one has responded to give me a refund. Shocking and wont ever order from here again.

Waited longer than usual for a table, although there seemed to be a few empty. Once served, the food was excellent

Restaurant ambience is very calming, makes you sit back and enjoy a mouth watering cocktail. Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri was refreshing and the Pulled Pork Enchilada was out of this world. Portions are small but very filling. Both inside and outdoor seating available. Ideal for meet-ups with friends, dates or family time.

When you see customers outside at the exact time of opening, make sure you open the door to them, specially when they knocking at the window because you are 5 minutes late opening the door and you made eye contact with them already. Then came with the excuse “it was open”… ah no it wasn’t. I used to take this company seriously but after what I have been told by previous employees realise they are amateurs, specially after I raised my complaint to the administration and they decided to ignore this… this branch has changed massively since the change of staff and manager, for the worst.

Prices have now reached extortionate level. Used to enjoy coming here, but won't be returning. Over £30 per head with a number of us trying to choose cheaply, two courses including shared desserts for most. Only one round of drinks. 10% added on for service. Shame as service is good.

I wouldn't bother. Expensive for the offering. Went with my my 22 year old son,all 6 foot 7 off him.Challenge 25,no ID no beer on his birthday. I'm not surprised this group is in major financial troubles. Taco's insipid, mainly rice. Very poor overall. I can understand over 25 challenge for a group of young people but it's totally wrong when accompanied by parents. I'd direct the company to the UK government advice.

Chicken was an absolute disgrace. The manager confirmed its not the first time Chiquitos had ordered poor chicken from their supplier. Staff and management team very helpful and polite. Refunded the cost of the meal.

Latest review Cheshire oaks: The service wasn't good at all , food wasn't as good as the Broughton Chiquito's. The staff kept on leaving the door open on a cold windy day as we were sat by the door we had to keep on telling them lol. Old review.... Fantastic food to be fair, spicy is actually spicy lol 😂, staff are good if it's not to busy,, fantastic food, lots to choose from, decor is really nice , prices are about right, definitely recommended 😁make sure you get a good pic with the sombrero on 🤣😋👍

Been here a few times and I just want to keep going back, staff are brilliant, kind and helpful, the food is always amazing.

So came in and the place looked nice. Waitress seated us and didn't give us a menu. Asked us what drinks we would like and we asked for a couple of glasses of water. 10 minutes pass, no water no menus. Waitress just keeps looking at us and taking new people to their seats and cleaning random tables. I ask for menus she finally brings us our water. 20 minutes pass, noone has taken our order. Several waiters etc walk past our table and do nothing (bear in mind the restuarant isn't full or busy). I have to ask for someone to take our order. We order an enchilada, a salad bowl and two sides. 45 minutes pass, food finally arrives. The Enchilada is kind of cold after sitting under lamps waiting to be taken to our table. The chicken salad bowl has raw chicken in it. I do like Chiquitos, however you'd probably make better food at home for cheaper tbh. Deffinitely give this branch a miss

We were a party of two (one adult, one 12 year old) visiting for lunch while out on a shopping trip on a Saturday. The restaurant was quiet, but we had pre booked in advance using the online booking system available on the web site. Service was quick and friendly. Food was pretty basic but quite tasty. Our main issue would be the price, as it felt quite expensive for what was a quick lunch. Including a 10% tip, the bill came to a few pence under £40. We only had one coke and chicken burger each. The chicken burger came with fries and a small tub of coleslaw, no side salad etc. Honestly, even though the food and service was ok, we wouldn't return based on the expense of this experience. No lunch time menu seemed to be available, which seemed unusual. Probably explains why it was so quite at lunch time on a very sunny Saturday!

We had a lovely server called Lauren and could not fault her service at all, she was fantastic. Her bubbly charm and constant conversation really brought an amazing mood. She really loves what she does and it shows. The £5 margarita deal was fantastic and they tasted exquisite, we would recommend the strawberry margarita.

Had an enjoyable dinner here tonight. Good food, good decor and suitable background music. Especially good was the service from the girls who served us: Isabelle and Ellie (hope I remembered your names right).

Welcomed as soon as we arrived and seated. The young lad (I think it said Billy on the reciept) was lovely. Food was great! Never been before but would definitely go back again. Got the lunch menu and was absolutely stuffed. Toilets were spotless as was the rest of the restaurant.

Went to Chiquitos for the first time ever. Had barbacoa beef tacos, didn’t know what to expect but it was delicious! Had great customer service, the staff were lovely always checking if our drinks need refilling. The food was lovely

Food poisoning. I went on monday with my family, everyone had mixed things and the sensus was the food was good. It was only until the next morning i was throwing up and on the toilet all day, after asking the family what they had and how they felt i realised i was the only one who ate the wings. I will not be going back, it would appear they had reheated the weekends leftover wings

We love coming to Chiquito's in Broughton, partly because the food is fantastic and the portion sizes are huge, but mainly the service is second to none and staff are brilliant, courteous and attentive and nothing is ever too much to ask. Big shout out to the lovely Lee who is always so lovely with our family every time we come! Looking forward to our next visit soon! Mike, Charli, Mylie, Archie and Emmie x

This is just my own and my partners experience. I ordered the chimmychanga chicken tinga and my partner had a chimmychanga bbq pulled pork. There was no jalapeño cheese sauce as stated in the menu. The food was warm. The food was bland and unflavoured bar the chicken which, given the fact that was the only thing with flavour even that wasn't that flavourful. We were both gutted to say the least. Maybe we just went on a bad day.

1st time here. Felt very welcome with our dog sat outside. Waiter recommended 2 meals to try. Both very impressive. Big portion and super tasty! Than ks guys!

we ate in, 4 of us, in a booth which is always nice because the tables in the centre of the room are just too close to people brushing past you every second. drinks came at an OK speed but did have to ask where they were. food has always been good here previously but they make so many changes to the menu constantly you go back and something either has been removed or changed. I tried the steak because its what I used to have, to be honest, wasnt nice. I've had much better from there previously but it's what I get for ordering steak at a Mexican. chips taste like cardboard for me, so my recommendation is to sub them for sweet potato fries also the Coleslaw has just the biggest peices of cabbage in so don't expect a nice creamy one. overall I'll give it 4 because the staff are fantastic, it's always friendly and maybe they could just calm down on the menu changing every 2 weeks
