Chippy in Haringey

This was an excellent fish and chip shop which I have used for years. The new owners have put the prices up and the quality of the food down. The food is now mediocre. I will not be using the shop again.

Perfectly seasoned fish in a light, crispy and delicious batter. I have visited two other top rated London fish and chip restaurants recently and was totally disappointed with the meal. The Chippy deserves to be high on the list for well presented and delicious food., together with excellent service at a very affordable price.

Tasty, fresh fish and chips. Also enjoy Sausage In Batter. Seat in and take-away. Served freshly prepared.

I have been a customer for a few years now, as a restaurant customer and take away (walk in & uber/deliveroo) and have never had a bad meal. The cod has always been fresh, and mostly cooked to order unless it's peak time in which case they do cook a few in advance but never so much as you get stale tasting or dry fish. The oil you can tell is changed very often and this means the chips are always perfect and extremely tasty. Perfect customer service in the restaurant or for take out combined with delicious fresh food, what more can you ask for?! I used to drive a few miles to a chip shop in Goswel Road until I found this place and realised I had a better place on my doorstep that was a little cheaper too!

Fish was a lot smaller than the large fish we used to get but we was still charged for a large. Curry sauce was like water and the mushy peas were tasteless and also watered down. Sorry to say but we wont be eating here again, as they are serving up awful food recently and cutting corners.

I paid £9.00 for a portion of Fish and Chips. When I got home, the fish was terrible, Very thin fillet, dry batter. Like it had been under a Heat Lamp too long. The Chips were hard and tasted old. I had to throw it all away. It was inedible. I rang to complain and the guy said to come back and I'll make you a fresh Portion!?? What, then did I get earlier? This was a quality Chip Shop but It feels like new management has taken over. They are using cheaper Fish, Potatoes and Oil. I will not be returning.

This restaurant is excellent value for money because the fish portion is huge, very fresh and succulent. The batter was crispy and it held together with the fish. You can choose to have the fish grilled with no batter. One of the best fish and chips I have had so far in London. The service was lovely and I'd like to visit again.

Terrible chips. Dry and seems that the oil change is not frequent. The chips are tiny as well. Please change your oil more often and you will get a better quality chip. Pull finger and do not be cheap.

I brought fish and chips today and I was very disappointed, the chips were all small and had definitely been re- fried. Yuk they were soo greasy. I don’t think I’ll be going back for a while, such a put off.

Big portion, great staff and lovely food, I really enjoyed myself. I’ll be returning very soon with my family for the wonderful food.

The better of the two local chip shops (smarter than Tollingtons too ) with excellent fish and good (but for me not dry enough) chips. Good friendly service too.

Due to Covid, we have not been dining out recently. Came across this fish and chip restaurant on one of the delivery sites. Have had haddock and chips, mushy peas and an onion each week for the last couple of months. For a neighbourhood restaurant, the quality has been excellent on each occasion and reasonably priced.

Got my self fish and chips today and was horrible the chips cold and just been heated up again in oil the fish was not fresh smell different and you can tell buy cutting in it

Have ordered from here twice in a week now, I use uber to get it delivered.... I have to say I'm REALLY happy.... I have ordered medium chips each time and they have turned up larger than most large portions at other places. Today I forgot to add salt and vinegar so called them.... The driver was already there ( literally 5 mins after ordering, they are super quick ) but they were still happy to reopen the packages and add my seasonings then rewrap, really friendly guy on the phone. Honestly this place seems great.... Unlike other uber delivery places my food was prepared almost instantly and they arrive at my door well ahead of predicted times..... Thanks guys! Great work

Just eaten cod and chips. They couldn't have been better. The fish was cooked to perfection in a crisp batter. The chips plentiful. Good tartare sauce.
