Amazing place! Best food in Canary Wharf - highly recommend

We ordered three dishes which were all absolutely delicious, but the Xi’an beef burger and biang biang noodles were the standouts! The beef burger had rich, flavorful meat packed into a perfectly crispy bun, while the biang biang noodles were delightfully chewy, coated in a bold, savory sauce. The stir-fried chicken noodles were tasty too, with well-seasoned chicken and a great texture, but the first two stole the show. Would definitely go back for more!

On the way I was asked which is my favourite Chinese restaurant in London. Well now I know without a doubt. Absolutely stunning, mainly Xian, fare and charming staff in what amounts to little more than a garden shed but undoubtedly "worth a detour" even if is to the Isle of Dogs". Not to be missed

It's been a while since I enjoyed my meal so much! The sauces they use for dishes are just incredible. And meets are soft and flavorful. This place might become my favourite spot for a quick tasty lunch in the area.

Definitely a gem in London! One of the few restaurants that I would recommend to people. It made me love Szechuan cuisine.

The biang biang noodles with beef is the best dish in the menu, with the prawn wontons a close second. Absolutely fantastic sichuan little place very known by locals. Excellent value for money.

Honestly one of the best places in London serving Chinese cuisine. Great value for money. I am always coming back when around :) This time we have ordered Stir Fry Noodles with beef, Prawn Wonton in chilli sauce, Wontons in Chicken Soup, rice. Delicious as always! Highly recommended

The place is crowded, but it's a small place anyways. We had to sit outside in the cold but the hot flavorful food really made up for all of it. Highly recommend this place because I didn't have anything critical to say about the place anyways.

Absolutely delicious. Authentic, hand made food. So glad we came here. We had the duck pancakes, special spicy hand-pulled noodles with beef, and the hand-made wontons in chicken soup. Would come back for all three! Lively kitchen (can see them making the wontons by hand) and very friendly staff.

This place might not look like much but the food is amazing. Properly authentic, incredible flavours and super fast service. Be warned - there aren't that many seats and it does get pretty busy, so more of a casual lunch spot but it's 100% worth it for the quality of the food. Some good vegetarian options too, the mapo tofu is delicious and so are all the noodle dishes I've tried.

Food was nice but the service.. terrible. The lady that was taking order was extremely rude and being annoyed all the time. I feel sorry that she doesn't like her job that much.

Good chilled out spot for food. Absolutely no frills but great food. Not much seating so grab a seat while you can but would recommend the Xi’an biang biang noodles in special chili sauce with Chunky beef and Boneless chicken in chilli oil. Decent price and portion size. The stir fried lamb cumin noodles wasn’t as good, seemed quite plain.

Sooooo good, I loved the sweet potatoe noodles. We came an hour after they opened and it was already almost packed, can see why, great authentic and delicious food.

Amazing local gem. Big portions at good prices. Overall delicious and will be back. One thing to take in mind is thats its a very small venue and you may need to sit outside.

There was a slight hint of MSG in the soup, but for this quality, it was very well made for the price.

So, I ordered from Uber Eats, and guess what? The food was a total letdown. I dropped 30 pounds on it, and they promised special chow mein, but Those noodles were like a blank canvas zero salt, zero flavor! The chicken was just boiled, as if it had committed a culinary crime. Definitely not worth a foodie's time

Food is good, but definitely stick to the noodles to make sure everything you get is store/hand made. Perfect for a quick bite.

Their waiter is very rude and doesn’t have proper knowledge about food allergies or the food menu. They always behave badly with customers. I witnessed one instance of their bad behavior with a customer and asked, "Why are you behaving badly with customers?" They responded by saying, "He is not a customer, he is a delivery rider. Delivery riders are meant to wait outside." I felt so bad for the delivery rider because if you don’t treat them well, why not cancel all delivery services so they don’t have to come to this arrogant restaurant?

Small shop featuring Northern Chinese cuisine. Tried the beef hand pulled noodles, and the spicy beef tripes. Portion is huge and the taste is better than some restaurants. I couldn't dine in though because the shop is small and gets too warm at some point.

Amazing food! My friends brought me to this place, and I was amazed by their fish and noodles. I will come back and would like to recommend!

Small and quaint little spot nestled by the main roads of E14 - popped in here after noticing it from my office building. Good food, friendly staff, does get quite busy by 12pm onwards as the lunch crowd from the nearby offices come by, but if you can get an early lunch in (11:30am), for a take away or dining in, you'll find a spot easily. Love it!

Without a doubt one of the best Chinese restaurants in London! Usually have sweet & sour chicken, beef in black bean sauce and pork dumplings - never get enough of it! You really get good quality food in this place!

I went there during lunch break after 1pm and it was really packed. It is a quite popular place and they were quite busy taking orders. I was lucky to find a table for myself. I waited 10 minutes for my food. Handmade noodles were pretty good much better than I thought. Pork burger took a long time to arrive but was also taste good. I do wish the pork could be leaner though. I think I would come back in future.

Being from overseas and hoping that it wouldn't suck. Wow! Hands down some amazing food I ate last night everything I ordered was hot when it arrived and delicious. The prices are unbeatable to what I am use to for the amount of food. This place gets it and I'll definitely order again if I stayed longer.

We discovered this place from a Google Maps search - absolutely delicious! We came to London just 2 days ago and were already craving Chinese noodles. This place just hit the spot! Their hand-pulled noodles tasted fantastic and were well-seasoned! The braised beef noodle soup was surprisingly light - exactly the comfort food I wanted. I asked the restaurant to make it less spicy and it was perfect. We were very pleased with it.

The reality definitely exceeded expectations... the food is of truly excellent quality, and expertly combined in the various dishes offered. I tried the meat ravioli, spicy pork bau, and rice with beef... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, SUPER GOOD. Furthermore, the prices are really cheap compared to the offers nearby.

Food is amazing as always. Always forget its so close so endeavour to eat here more often.

Amazing cozy place, everything was on point

Apr 24: I've since tried some of their lunch menu; sweet and sour chicken (was spot on and tasted just like any old school Chinese take away with lots of chicken. The lunch boxes tend to come in the deeper plastic take away container), chicken curry (again, spot on and lots of flavour with chicken that melts in your mouth as its done just so. When the potatoes are small they're cooked perfectly, but on occasion the veg is larger then they tend to be a bit under cooked. I've ordered this the most out of their lunch menu which is excellent value), spicy beef (the beef is slightly over cooked but still very tasty with lots of beef. This is slightly spicy if you're not tolerant of spice) and bang bang chicken (I wasn't sure if this was going to come with a sauce in it, it doesnt and essentially is a flavoured chicken nugget. A chicken nugget which is lovely and moist but because their was no sauce the boiled rice felt a bit dry. It wasn't dry at all and was perfectly cooked but I prefer a little sauce with my dry meat). I'm not normally so adventurous when it comes trying new dishes but I've been so impressed with every dish I've tried so far I feel compelled to try other things. When we order 2 mains from the lunch menu and 2 starters the price comes in between £28-30. Aug 23: When you get that hand pulled noodle craving and then your meal just makes you feel sated, that was me yesterday at discovering this random establishment. We were heading across the road/competition for hand pulled noodles and drove past Chinese Gourmet. An unassuming shack but busy, I thought I'd give it a go. In HK these types of places that don't have curb appeal are often the places that serve the best food and boy was I right! I ordered the beef slice noodles as I'm not very tolerant of spicy food, whereas my husband ordered the spicy beef noodles. Visually, his looked really good and so I half inched/pinched his, the beef was so tender. I hadn't even tried my bowl of noodles and already regretted my choice because of my fear of spice, it was a nice spice and not burn your taste buds and can't taste a thing spice. My dish was very good, what's not to love about tasty, hot and fresh. The portion size was very good, I'd say double to most places in the area. The dumplings were nice, the sauces were what made them. I enjoyed the lamb dumplings most. All in all, this is going to be my regular when we come into the area weekly. They don't take phone orders and the wait can take a while during the lunch period. I'm SOO PLEASED at finding a reasonably priced hand pulled noodle and dumpling place. I'd agree with one of the reviewers about ordering Mainland dishes over the Cantonese dishes, as a BBC I'll be ordering the Mainland dishes as they're very well done, whereas Cantoneae dishes cooked by Mainlander's just miss the mark. I will still be trying them out at some point, once I go through the whole menu. I like to keep an open mind on these things, plus I'm greedy!

I rarely write reviews for a restaurant where I order delivery, but this was exceptionally amazing food. Every single dish was spot on and flawless. The Biang Biang noodles were the star of course but also the boneless chicken in chili oil was perfect. Tasted like a real trip to China. Thank you!

The sliced beef noodle soup and BiangBiang noodles with beef chunks were very authentic. Soupy option was perfect on a cold day. Food came quickly and the lady boss was friendly. Highly recommend!

The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly, and the restaurant has a busy and cozy feel. Recently I stayed at a friend's house, and the restaurant was so close that it almost became my canteen! I will come again if I pass by in the future~

Fried rice is too salty. Ordered on Deliveroo, food was on time, packaged well, portion size is good. Only the salt level was too much for me. I was hungry so had a few spoons, then had to pour hot water over to remove some salt, the fried flavor is then gone too, I couldn’t finish. That was sad, could be just my personal taste. I wonder Would this shop make it less salty if I specify for next order ?

A nice man at the counter who I think was the chef saw me being totally lost going through the menu and jumped in to suggest a dish asking what my taste is. The dish he suggested was just delicious! Fresh pasta with pork - recommend!

So happy I found this place! Freshly cooked, delicious Chinese food. You can choose to eat in or takeaway. The place is small so it can be tricky to get a table but people eat and leave quickly. The hand pulled noodles are very yummy. Looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes on their menu! Service is also very friendly!

Authentic and delicious Chinese food

Excellent authentic Xi'an food, with a variety of dishes suitable for all tastes. Their 'Chinese Burger' (肉夹馍) are delicious. Bear in mind that this is a 'hole in the wall' style place, with limited seating and pay when you order. But with a sensibly sized highly focused menu (as opposed to a 'traditional' British Chinese restaurants), while you won't find your all your old favourites, you'll find a far superior dish instead.

Great food and atmosphere. The staff is extremely hard working and whilst always extremely busy, they are very friendly and provide excellent service. The place is always full with a line of delivery riders waiting outside. The food is amazing and we are going at least once per month.

Spicy Pork we ordered was stale/old Food didn't taste like anything but salt and pepper. Owner said: "You dont know how spicy pork should taste" Mate anyone can tell when food doesn't have any flavour, or that the meet is old.

AVOID AT ALL COST !!!! - Horrible stale food and treatment by the staff! Had the audacity to lecture us on how Chinese food should taste like, as If London is not filled with actually good Chinese restaurants to compare with!

Simple, cheap and warming comfort food, no frills local spot but better food than many big restaurants

The food is very good. But when I tried to order it another time with a person that has allergies, the number on Deliveroo and here on Google Maps is not even ringing/impossible to talk to them. Therefore we had to order from another place because it was impossible to get the good informations on allergens. I don’t recommend for allergic people to nuts and peanuts.

This little restaurant is a great option if you are in the mood for takeaway Chinese food! We have ordered from this place many times for pickup. One would never guess such a tiny "hole in the wall" restaurant serves such good Chinese food! The food is always prepared quickly and packaged well without leaking. Portion sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable too. My favorite dishes are the fried flat rice rice noodles and the curry king prawns. The curry is mild and same taste as Singapore curry noodles. Iykyk. The noodles have the "wok hei" or char taste, which is what you want in a stir fried noodle. The king prawns are huge too! Some negatives: the salt & pepper prawns are better elsewhere. Too much breading! Also, all the saucy dishes are all made with a thick dark sauce. That is not authentic Chinese cooking. For example, the ginger & spring onion sauce is normally clear and light, not dark and thick. Overall, my boyfriend and I have tried many dishes, and are very pleased with the food!

This restaurant is the most desirable place to have Chinese food. I highly recommend the Lanzhou ramen.

Tucked away in the unassuming Skyline Village facing Limeharbour Road, this Chinese gem stands out as the best in Isle of Dogs IMO. The unobtrusive shopfront belies the culinary wonders found within, offering both indoor and outdoor seating, though space is limited due to their heavy emphasis on takeout orders. The star of the menu, the hand-pulled Xi’An Biang Biang noodles with chunky beef, has consistently delivered an exceptional experience every time I've indulged. During my recent visit with a friend, we savored three dishes paired with plain rice. The deep-fried Pork Intestines with Pepper, Boneless Chicken in Chilli Oil, and Beef and Sauerkraut in Hot and Sour Soup were all incredibly flavorful, mirroring authentic Chinese tastes. While the flavors transported us to China, the indoor seating is a bit snug, and there's a noticeable oily aroma that lingers. However, the olfactory experience is a small tradeoff for the incredible taste. Be prepared to carry a bit of the scent in your clothes post-meal. Portion-wise, three dishes with plain rice proved ample for two, providing a satisfying meal. We paid £37 for these, and it will be ten percent cheaper if you pay cash.

We ordered take away through Deliveroo , foods were top quality, full of flavours, must try: fry sliced potatoes, lamb dumplings, chilli beef noodles , pork Chinese burger, will try to dine in next time 😊
