Chinese 203 in Stockport

4th time visiting, food always amazing, service always lacking, no happy smiling faces, little slow on asking if we wanted anything else and even slightly annoyed when we asked for more, but on the whole would definitely visit again and would reccomend.

We went here for the first time last night and what a fantastic treat it was. The food was absolutely delicious. I really can't folt Chinese 203.

Called for a collection and told to come in 15 minutes. When I arrived i was told it would be another 10/15 minutes which wasn’t a big deal as I’d rather collect it as soon as it’s out the fryer rather than it sat there. They said I could wait inside or in my car. When I said I’d wait in my car (that was literally outside the front door), they asked me which car I’d be in, which I assumed meant they’d come and notify me when it was ready. After 25 minutes of waiting in the car I went in to ask if it was ready and they gave me the order straight away. I asked why no one notified me as I assumed that’s why they asked what car I was in and they said the staff member who I spoke to didn’t notify them regarding me waiting outside. I asked if the order had been sat there long and they confidently said it hadn’t. Getting home everything was cold and stale, called and they said they’d replace it all if I brought the food back. Drive back and wait in the car again and they did replace the order quite quickly with no apology, giving me boiled rice instead of fried, and not including the spring rolls. Real shame as I’m sure I just caught them at a busy evening which is fair enough, but they lied on the phone saying someone came out to look for me which deffo wasn’t true as the staff told me the server forgot to notify them.

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. It's an all you can eat little chinese for just £20 per person, and the food is cooked fresh for you when you order it. No food drying under those trays and under those hot lights. They catered brilliantly for vegetarians. They couldn't do enough for my vegetarian partner! Brilliant service! Thanks, guys. highly recommended. I will definitely be going back here!!

Recently visited and the food you could not fault it. Walking in the place is small and the set up is different to the all you can eat places we are use to. Here you stay sat at your table and pick from the menu and the staff collect from the kitchen which is good as the food is fresh and not sat there in heated containers like other places. The only thing I would add is the staff could smile more

Really good. Starters piping hot. So much better than I was expecting. One of the waitress’s started clearing my Plate before I’d finished but apart from that a really good meal

Went today with the kids and couldn’t recommend any more, food freshly cooked and brought to you not like other all you can eat buffets. Staff super friendly and they didn’t charge me anything for my youngest, prices reasonable too will definitely be going back.

Very salty we kept requesting put less salt still it kept coming same also the waitress was very rude had to complain the manager who was stood close by she could keep an eye on the service they want you to finish each and every thing in your plate but not fill up your stomach with a lot of onions in your plate instead of appropriate amount of protein. Not going there again they need to be nice with the local people if not then many well behaved Chinese places to eat without getting disrespected.

Excellent chinese food and tou can order as much as you like, staff were really friendly and encouraged us to order. Would be better if they played some music in the restaurant as the atmosphere was a bit lacking. Even though we live in glossop it's worth the journey

Great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff and the food was stunning.

4 stars. Almost 5 stars, but those are extremely rare from me. The food was delicious, hot and fresh, right from the soup, the starters, and the mains. You make your choices (but buffet style) and everything is PROMPTLY served to you. The staff were very friendly, professional and responsive. Would I go again? Absolutely, definitely yes!

This Chinese was recommended to us the food was great as was the service what let it down was a group of people came and sat behind us and they were extremely loud, we all left with headaches they were getting louder and louder.

Absolutely love this place and went here for a birthday meal last Monday. It was fantastic 😊 It's somewhere that I always try to visit when I come down from Scotland to see my family 👍 Food is always lovely and hot, with great selection and service. Staff may not have the best English, but they are a credit to the business. Obviously not every dish is perfect, but there are so many to choose from and it's well worth the 22 pounds per person for the table service buffet. The Chinese tea here is great too. Thanks for another lovely meal, keep up the great work ❤️

It was a great experience, especially on a Saturday night. There's limited seating inside, but it's fresh made food & all you can eat for a reasonable price, I'd recommend booking given the limited space available. The menu is relatively simple, you start with soup & starters & you can order as many times as you want, but once you've moved to ordering mains you can't order any more starters, you can however order as many mains as you want, as well as sides. That's the way this all you can eat us 👍 there's a good selection of drinks too & service is very good. Wheelchairs will struggle a bit, but once in the toilet has disabled facilities👍 all in all a good place to eat, at a reasonable price 🌸

We travelled from yorkshire to visit family and called here on the way back. Fantastic place, food is delicious would highly recommend. Definitely worth a visit. Food was piping hot too.

Food was really good, but the service and the atmosphere were really poor. No music which left it a bit flat and none of the staff looked at all happy to be there! Also, my wife didn't eat very much so probably didn't justify paying the flat fee. But like I said, the food was really nice, but probably won't be returning 😕

If there was zero stars, I will give to this establishment. We're black people with children taller than their ages. The owner doubted us and doubted our children when they innocently also told of their ages. We thought it was a joke initially, but the owner was asking us for proof of emails from primary school teacher to satisfy herself of my children's age. Even when shown, she still doubted and was asking for school's report. She insisted my 3yr old son is in Year-1. Basically, labelling us as liars. We got up and left. Disgusted and will never return to this restaurant. The treatment left a bad taste in my young children's mouths and spoiled my daughter's birthday celebration, which was the reason we wanted to eat out in the first place. Lady owner, you should be ashamed of yourself. We didn't eat, so can't rate the food. However, the environment was rubbish, anyway. We will stick to patronising our trusted Cosmo in Manchester City center, the next time we fancy Chinese food.

Food was fantastic as was service.... only thing that let you down and was annoying rude was when you charged us full price for our 10 year old son and did not believe he was 10... even questioning him(not us) what school year he was in. Ruined a perfectly good evening..

Been here several times ,very good value for money, food is very fresh and hot ,service is also very good ,what I would say from our experience this evening felt rushed didn't get breathing time between courses,wasn't like that when I have been before, hopefully next time will have a bit more time !!

Booked same day for a table for 2. Decided to go for a later time of 8. 30 so we weren't rushed which worked well. Service is extremely good, food arrived very promptly and freshly cooked. The food was good for the price although I think I would have preferred to pay a bit more for a higher quality product (hence the 4 stars for food). Overall a good experience and would recommend.

A good concept, eat as much as you like but ordered at the table. Small plates of tasty freshly cooked food. Service was quick so don't expect to linger when you have finished, it's a busy place and they need your table! Book ahead but expect to be seated at a smaller table if they are fully booked, five at a table for four etc. Drinks are very pricey.

Small restaurant with limited seats but well worth trying. All you can eat buffet but different is you order off the menu and they keep bringing it as long as you want it. Downside - small so limited tables and room Upside - all food is freshly prepared and well presented. Staff are very friendly.

Getting better ? This is probably my 3rd or 4th visit here, over the last few years. Whilst we've never been disappointed, sometimes our experience has been 'average'. On our last visit we thought everything was VERY VERY GOOD ! we enjoyed all of our dishes, thinking they were better than before. Everything seemed to be perfectly seasoned. There can never be any argument about value for money, as long as you bring your appetite. We're looking forward to our next visit already.

Was looking for a Chinese buffet in Manchester City Centre. However I then stumbled on this restaurant. How grateful am I that I did. This was by far one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever had. There concept of all you can eat but serving you as you order. Rather than wasting food using a normal buffet style. The only negative I could put down. Would be that it is very small. I think they would benefit massively from a larger premises.

Simple and straight to the point, The food was piping hot, delicious, and arrived quickly. Some complained about the £20 per person price, but compared to JustEat, it was a bargain. The friendly and efficient staff added to the enjoyable experience. Plates were cleared swiftly, allowing us to move on to the next dish with delight.

This has got to be the best all you can eat Chinese ever. Forget the big ones in Manchester City centre. The staff are amazing and always make sure you have everything you want, and the service is very quick.

Been looking for a new go to chinese for a long time and hate travelling into city centre and found this 1 on Google. So here we are Great concept. First where starts a good mixed of starts a selection from all the menu made it very simple and easy as we went as a group of 7. Starters where served quickly and where of great quality. We all ordered several mains dishes and again served quick and hot although some dishes on the not so meaty side. Sides where great and great quality. Overall service was quick and friendly staff where polite and smily all in all definitely worth a visit and will go back. Plenty of on street parking however possibly need park down the road few min walk away.

Excellent experience, the service was very welcoming and helpful with allergies and vegan dishes. Everything we had was delicious. Highly recommended!

A superb addition to Davenport high street. The decor is great, the staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful and the food is delicious, freshly prepared from an extensive menu.

This was our first time here and it didn’t disappoint We was seated and served starters and drinks quickly and then our main course orders taken which arrived quickly aswell Everything tasted fresh and very nice 😃 We will be returning soon for a second go

Really good we booked on line for 4 of us,its classed as an all you can eat menu(so not as much food wasted I guess).You pick what you want and they wizz off and bring it out nice and hot! Staff friendly and efficient.You have I think an hour and fifteen mins so order you drinks top speed and get weaving :-)

Really great food, shame about the absolutely rude staff who think shouting at customers is normal etiquette, would never return here on that basis especially when we were such a large group of people who spent a large amount of money.

Have been here a few times now and the food is incredible, I cannot fault it at all. The service however was disappointing - we booked a table for 6 and one person was ill and could not attend. So we got moved from our 6 table onto a 4 table with someone added on the end of the table - we were squashed in and asked if we could have the original table. We were told the table was already booked out to someone else (even though that was our original table) the whole two hours we were there the table of 6 was unoccupied - so do not understand why we had to be crammed in with not much elbow room and plates on top of each other. Really disappointing - especially after being lied to about the table being booked and remained unoccupied the whole time.

We went for the first time this evening the staff were lovely, the food was lovely. Great price and love the idea of getting to try different things. Sadly the wait staff had a little trouble with one of the tables. Overall it was a lovely experience and will certainly be coming back

Called in on the off chance and was lucky to get a table, which is a good sign, had a really good meal, all served freshly cooked to order, favourites for me were the Singapore fried rice, chicken curry & the crispy chicken in hoisin sauce. Friendly attentive staff, always happy for me to order another dish. Will definitely visit again but maybe book next time to avoid disappointment. Thank you for providing a great dining experience.

Excellent service,delicious food, and all at a real bargain price. For only £22 per person, you can order as many starters, main courses, and side dishes as you can eat! The hot & sour soup is a must! In addition, you also receive prawn crackers and the obligatory fortune cookies afterwards. However, the drinks are not included in this price and are an additional cost. The standard price for a pint of lager is around £4,so it is fairly cheap compared to most pubs. The staff are friendly and very accomadating, and they work tirelessly to meet their customers' needs. The car parking spaces are limited, so make sure you get there early.

By far the best tasting all you can eat Chinese I've had the pleasure of eating, and at £22 a head was definitely worth coming again and again.

We had booked a table, got to the restaurant and was shown to our seats. It was super busy and we knew why after seeing great reviews. As this was my birthday meal we were super excited. After ordering and eating our starters we were asked to move tables so they could fit more customers inside. I thought this was a bit off considering we were sat comfortably and this has never happened at any other restaurant I had been to. After being asked to move we were put in a corner which was no issue until they asked for my boyfriends chair where he was sat opposite. Meaning we both had to sit next to each other. We were essentially boxed in a corner. The staff found it difficult to come to our table to take our orders. The table next to us were asked to hurry and finish their drinks, the staff brought their bill over whilst they still had wine left to finish as they needed the seats. The food was nice, but being asked to be moved twice and the time checking/ whole service being rushed ruined our first experience.

Once again great meal and service - chicken & sweetcorn soup / mixed starter / king Prawn in Black bean sauce with egg fried rice / special chow mean Ps Please can you open a branch in Reddish !!! 😆

And also very clean They have air conditioning but its only ever on very low thats my only negative if you call it that . £22 to eat what you like in 1hour 50 minutes Super friendly staff very attentive nothing is too much trouble .BEWARE YOU NEED TO BOOK ITS SO POPULAR .

It's 2023 you should have some vegan options... I went there with my family and we had to leave as we were told they don't do any vegan food. It's not like we have high expectation just few options would be nice to have when we live close by.

Went for 2nd time with my g/f, not disappointed at all, food comes out pretty quickly, only prob is my partner is a smoker, so she nipped out for a quick drag after starters, and mains were already on the table when she got back, just feels a little rushed, but still can't fault it, won't stop me going back, because the food is really nice.

Takeaway was disappointing in fact it was awful. We’ve eaten in before which was really good but decided to get a takeaway this time as it’s not worth it with children at £20per head. The shredded beef in ok sauce was dried out and only a tiny pot of sauce came with it so with rice the whole meal was like eating sand! Previously ordered same dish and the shredded beef came in sauce so completely different this time. It was like eating left overs!

Most dishes were very good - I didn't really have complaints. Parking seems easy in surrounding streets. It is worth the price.

Fist time here with my 2 brothers service was poor the staff came over while I was eating say you have to be out soon we just sat down and started to eat which I found rude when we had 40 mins left its like they had a attitude which I don't find polite so I won't be going again 💯👍😎

Amazing! When you hear "all you can eat" you often expect okay food and service. Chinese 203 bucks the trend. The staff are so friendly and attentive, and the food is wonderful. Between 6 of us, we tried a lot of different dishes and not one disappointed. Definitely worth a visit. Remember to book too, this gem is well know so can get busy!

Tried here after seeing quite a few people recommend on Facebook. Great experience! The food was hot, tasty and fresh with plenty of choice. Hubby is still raving about it now, 2 days later! Will definitely return and soon.

Can't knock it for a 20 pound all you can eat, that you order off the menu when you want. Prefer this to any other buffet style.
