China Town in Rotherham

Ordered food, wish we hadn’t. Shocking food, and when you take people’s money and you are representing your takeaway, why on earth would you send out such rubbish. Old chips that were dry and hard. Dry noodles. Watery curry and beef dish, without any taste what so ever. Rice was edible but dry. And the worst part, you call them to let them know how bad the food is and don’t receive any offer of a refund. Just an apology and excuse. Not good enough when you are taking payment for utterly disgraceful food. No F’s given, and no pride in their dishes. Don’t order from here. About time they closed for good or turned things around.

Placed an order, brought half the wrong order. Phoned and mentioned we’ve have been given the wrong food. Said driver would be straight back 25 mins later phone the shop and got to put the food in the microwave to warm it up. Shocking customer service

Just a spur of the moment decision to order a takeout for tea on a Monday night . Not used this takeaway for a couple of years as just moved out of area. Ordered set menu for 4 people. Food was ready to collect on time . Every dish was beautiful and we are picky people. Far too much food to be able to finish it all but there's always tomorrow, lol . Definitely got yourself a new customer. EXCELLENT FOOD. 5 stars .

Chicken in curry and chowmein inedible stringy and tough and didn’t taste great. Just ate sauce and vegetables. Very disappointed as always found takeaway to be the best one around but perhaps no longer such a shame but the meal was really poor.

Very late delivery without apology, food was very sub standard. no flavor or spice. 4 out the 4 people who ate all left there food claiming it wasn't fit for human consumption. will never use again.

Sweet and sour Chicken tasted old. Everything was spicy. I like spicy but who makes satay sauce for chicken skewers spicy? Wontons and spring rolls were amazing though.

Great food as always but was late again.... the food was meant to arrive at 7:30 but didn’t cone until after 8pm. It’s the only thing that lets this place down, the wait time is generally always over a hour and pretty much every order we’ve had had been late.

45 mins late, ordered at 7.15 for ASAP, arrived at 9.10, no apology when delivered, no curry sauce with meal as ordered.

Food was late and some items - crispy won ton was overcooked and rubbery. Rice was tepid. Very disappointed had been looking forward to it all day.

Quite a while before food was delivered but within the expected time and well worth the wait!

Food arrived well before the suggested time which was great. Ordered salt & pepper chips and chicken, crispy shredded beef and seaweed. Beef was soggy as too much sauce, chicken was also soggy due to too much sauce and chips were soft due to being wrapped in plastic. Seaweed was thd only crispy item. Flavours were all nice, just not a nice texture.

kept moving times, ordered at 6.45 arrived said 7.25......moved to 8.25 and finally arrived at 8.50! it’s great food but I’d check on delivery time now b4 ordering!!

Right. Where do I being! I placed an order through just eat. Order that was delivered was not mine sent another and again not mine when I called on the 3rd time I was shouted at and abused by a member of staff. I will never use just eat or this takeaway again. I'm back to wickersley Chinese. So very rude.

The mandarin beef was very tough, like thick beef jerky... its advertised as tender beef.

1 main meal. 1 rice. 1 hour to collect, then it was luke warm at best. have had a lot better alot faster from others

I’m sorry to say but this is the worst food I’ve had from here EVER! We had several items missing and our Chicken Fried Rice was with Boiled Rice 🤷🏼‍♀️

Appalling service. Ordered at 7:30pm and it was confirmed at 7:35pm that it would be here between 60 and 90 minutes. Order still hadn’t arrived at 9:30pm. Was told “it was just going in to cook and will be another 20 minutes”. Rang them again to find where it was at 10:15pm just as the door rang.

The food was good as always but we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for the order. It was 30 minutes late.

Food wasn't delivered!! After 45 minutes my husband decided to go and collect it. Lots of people in the shop in the same situation. No delivery driver in sight. Food tasted like it was ready for 8.15 but sat there another 75 minutes. Horrendous. Not a good idea after having gastric flu for 10 days😪😪. Very rarely have take aways, especially delivered, and this has put us off for life. Won't be using China Town or Just Eat ever again 😬😬😬😬😬

Refused order as it was an hour and 10 minutes late placed order at 6:40 and it arrived at 9:20 and I couldn't even get through to cancel, 2 kids really hungry and couldn't wait any longer so we went to chip shop, will not order from here again.

had to wait 3 hours for delivery which was over an hour later than scheduled. When I rang to see where our delivery was the person was very abrupt saying it wasn’t their fault and no apology.. The food was extremely salty to the point where we ended up throwing it away. Will not be ordering from China Town again, disappointing!!

Over charged, I sent plenty of requests for help no good very disappointed Spoke with +9 staff about issues very upsetting and worn me down very poor service

Ordered for delivery at 7:20pm, said would arrive for 8:20pm, then after payment adjusted to 8:50pm, at 9pm I rang restaurant and was told driver was leaving now, a 10 minute drive max, then at 9:40pm it eventually arrived. When the food did eventually arrive it was hot and very tasty, shame the service completely let the experience down

Food delivered early, but still waiting for an hour. Main dishes were excellent as usual but the boiled rice was at stodgy as it was overcooked, so we had to make do with one fried rice between three, hence the food quality marks.

Waiting for food terrible, after a phone call they said it was cooking, Still not good enough. I'm good at what i do, just a pitty your not good at what you do.

Every thing was perfect apart from the chicken chow mien!. Just had a really wierd taste about it.

All Food very greasy Vegetable chow mein seemed to be lacking any array of fresh vegetables. Salt and pepper chips & chicken seemed to come in what I could only describe as a schezhuan sauce . No where in the world have I ever had these dishes in a ‘wet’ sauce always dry. If this is how this restaurant makes this dish then fair enough, however still exceptionally greasy Tried this takeaway as a one off wouldn’t go again .

Sweet and sour chicken balls were hard and chicken very dry , I think it was cooked at least twice. Took chicken back and they replaced it with half a portion, didn't have the decency to give a full portion. 1st time we have had to complain but the complaint was handled very poorly.

Ordered a takeaway after our usual venue closed recently. We have sampled a few alternatives but though we would give this a go, first and last time we order from here! Arrived to collect my order after a 45 minute wait (which isn’t so bad if the food was nice), picked up and left after the lady at the counter read the full order out to confirm what we had asked for. Returned home to find half of the order missing, when I called to complain I was informed they had tried to chase me up the road to hand over the balance, fair enough if it was true but as I have a leg injury getting back in the car wasn’t a quick job. Returned to the restaurant and confronted the lady behind the counter who simply threw the balance over in order to get rid of me quickly. Returned home for the second time. All food present and looked ok, started to eat and found it tasteless! Both myself and my wife suffering after eating it. I would point out I found this to be one of the most expensive Chinese takeaways in the area, no problem if the food was good but personally found this to be a waste of money and threw most of the order away. Better local alternatives which we will use next time.

Extremely disappointing almost 2 hours waiting for food to be delivered to then only receive very very very over cooked food would not recommend this establishment to anyone even if the food was free and we shall not be using that again as I’m sure you can see

All the food came soaking in sauce. Rice isn't supposed to be that wet. Nor is batter, soggy batter is bad batter. Altogether this was a disappointing meal. I wont be returning unless the establishment wants a cooking lesson from an actual Chinese person.

Being truthful it was the weirdest chicken chow mein I’ve ever had. Had a brown watery sauce (not like any chow mein I’ve had from anywhere else) and it was so salty! It had no other taste apart from a sour salty taste and I couldn’t even taste the vegetables in it. Just covered in this horrific sauce, my mum had beef in black bean sauce and she also left over half as it tasted too salty.. the chips were hard and had no seasoning. Only nice thing was the curry sauce and even that was too thin. This is on my “don’t order from again” list unfortunately, and the prices are ridiculous considering what you get. I would order elsewhere.

Food is always really tasty and hot would absolutely recommend the food, if they could sort the delivery they’d be a no brainer

The people in the kitchen are doing their job well the food is great. However, Receptionist was rude, dismissive and about 12. delivery was abysmally late. General attitude by the staff not cooking the food was diabolical, management need to make some changes and reviews like his wouldn’t still be being posted.

The meat used seemed to be old and dry. Food is very salty in general and from my experience ordering salt&pepper ribs (wasn't salt&pepper it had some sauce that i didn't ask for) and chicken chowmein.. Especially the Chowmein was so salty, saucy and sweeet, just too much of everything, its unbelieveable that I just wasted 15 quid on a poorly managed business that serves terrible food.

Ordered for 19.40 but it was changed to 19.50 and arrived at 20.00. I wouldn't let it stop me ordering again though because the food was lovely.

The food here is lovely and it is a nice takeaway but the service is not very good I understand it was a Saturday nite and they were busy but the food was ordered at 7.45pm was informed it would be here by 21.05pm then it said 9.15pm so I phoned the restaurant who said they were waiting for the delivery driver I asked why it was such a long wait to be told it could be up to 2 hours for delivery I found this unacetable to wait that long even though they are busy it's a bit extreme I was told it would be another 15mins it arrived 30 mins later and some of the order was missing so I phoned again and they thought this was funny apologised and came back with the missing item not very professional I thought it was quite annoying although the food was lovely am not sure I would use them again as taking up to two hours to deliver food is not very good delivery service.

After waiting over an hour for our food, we got home and found the chicken in our chicken balls was all pink and under cooked. Very disappointed with a nearly £50 order, will not be going there again.

Very pleased with the speed of delivery and the temperature of the food but very disappointed with below:- - Sweet and sour chicken balls 50% were still pink inside. - Salt and pepper chicken inedible far too much salt. - Fried noodles smelt and tasted like cigarettes. - Seaweed far too much sugar too sweet and crunchy. Was very off-putting in the end and lost appetite.

Stunning ! So many flavours. We live nearly six miles away from the restaurant and the food was piping hot. Excellent.
