Wow I’ve just had the best Chinese take away ever and it came from the China Spice in Clare Street Northampton, I shall be returning to this take away time and time again, so if anyone is looking for a fantastic Chinese takeout that cannot be bettered give them a try you won’t be disappointed

Highly recommend! This is the best Chinese in Northampton without a doubt. Any others I’ve tried do not come close so now I am a regular. Try them and trust me you will love them! Great portions for great prices and amazing food. They do deals on Tuesday and Thursdays.

We came for a collection recently to this place. I was skeptical in the beginning, however I was pleasantly surprised when I reached there. The person on the till was very friendly and helpful. The shop seemed very clean and organised. Food was reasonably prized and the lady answered all our questions that we had regarding the food. If you are in town and want to takeaway a nice Chinese food, this could be one of the choices.

The absolute best, most economical Chinese ever! The lady behind the phone and the counter is very sweet and explained everything in detail. The food was hot and delicious. They have halal food but only in chicken so make sure you get pork removed from the dishes that have em. Had schezuan Chicken, spring rolls and their special fried rice. Loved everything. One drawback is that they do not accept anything but cash. Also, there is no dine in. And the shop is very cold. 🤣

Most delicious and worthwhile Chinese food I have ever had. The service was outstanding and the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, will always return from now on. 10/10👍

The best Chinese in Northampton. I’ve lived around town over 10 years and if I’m honest I never went to this Chinese because of the location. But seriously the food is stunning. They deliver but it’s cash only. Get the salt chilli chips. Also they do small and large options which is great. Honestly the food was perfect 😍

Must admit, wasn't to pleased with the food.To be honest the sweet and sour Hong Kong style was the worse tasting I've had in a long time,would not recommend,1st and last time I would go here again,was not impressed by the food.New Tung Shing is much better and better service.

Good food good price didn't eat from them for a long time. but then i ordered from them again and it was like going back in time the food was just how i remember tasted like the last time i got take out from them 8 years be for good stuff don't change it if it not broken 10/10. =>

Ordered a few times nice food, but the last 2 times I've ordered they got my food wrong and forgot stuff in my order. Think they need to concentrate on each order instead of just the money!!

Quick service and lovely food. It was easier to collect food myself as only a short walk away, but previously not had to wait too long for a delivery either (30-40mins on average).

Best Chinese in Northampton. Been ordering here from a while. Tonight on my collection order I ordered 2 x curry sauce and they accidentally gave me one. I said I’d go back to collect it as it’s round the corner but they delivered it for me super quickly and with free drinks ☺️ Lovely service thank you

This is our go to takeaway in the Mounts and they are amazing. The Duck green curry with rice is delicious and their salt and pepper squid is addictive.

I remember when this place was called THE RIVER SOUTH, many years ago, what a shame that's gone now as the food was much better; if you ever want a good Chinese take away then try the CHINA PALACE in Kingsthorpe

I had been looking for a good Chinese takeaway in Northampton and was surprised to find them rather thin on the ground. So to stumble upon this just around the corner from the Lamplighter was serendipity on a stick. The vegetarian options were legion, but I plumped for the Veggie version of Singapore Fried Rice with a Jumbo Spring Roll on the side. Both were simply wonderful. I look forward to working my way through the rest of the menu.

Best food ever. They have all the traditional dishes plus extras at a good price. Staff are friendly and it’s very clean and tidy. They even have a Slushy machine! As well as other drinks. Not sure if they sell alcoholic drinks. I normally get the house special fried rice or the Singapore fried rice with ribs. My wife normally likes the barbecue roast pork and rice. with a side of shredded chicken. Great take away. Highly recommend!!

Everyone will tell you they live near the best Chinese Takeaway, but unless they live near China Spice, well, they're a damn liar! Because China Spice is not just the best Chinese in the area, it's the best Chinese in Northampton. And it's also the best Chinese I've ever had anywhere in the world so as far as I'm concerned it's the best Chinese FULL STOP. Try it if you don't believe me. Edit - China Spice is a 50 minute round trip for me now, but it's still worth it.
