Been here a few times, good quality food, fast delivery and large portions.

Order was missing item which ment there was not enough food to split between 2, phoned and phoned and the other end kept terminating call, eventually got through explained what happened told would take to long to replace it tonight, adv I would be wanting a refund for what I physically did not receive, he told me to do what I want and hung up, amazing service. Food was also stone cold with a solid skin on top (order from tiptop)

I would never order from here again. I thought I’d give it a try since it’s got good reviews on Deliveroo, there’s was a 45 minute delivery time which was time so I waited, I got the notification that my food was out for delivery probably after half an hour of waiting which was amazing! I then sat at my window and waited. An hour and a half passes by and nothing so I phoned up and explained that I was still waiting and if they had any idea how long it would be. Was then told it wouldn’t be too much longer which I was fine with. 2 hours later I phoned again to receive abuse and accusations of trying to get free food and stuff because my food had been delivered (it hadn’t) I tried to explain that perhaps it had been sent to the wrong address (this has happened before). After the third phone call he buttoned me. So at the end of the day I’m down £27 and no Chinese food.

Ordered hours ago and hasn’t arrived at all. Phoned restaurant multiple times and they have ignored.

The owner/cook is an absolute disgrace. I called about 10minutes after I placed my order to double check they had the delivery instructions to call me as my door bell was broken. He screamed down the phone at me like a maniac and hung up, disgusting man. So I called again straight away and asked him to cancel my order as I did not want them to deliver anymore. I was worried they might do something to my food! I should have the right to cancel it was only 10minutes ago I had ordered it, he kept all my money, the full amount. Just eat can only refund if it's within 5minutes grace period. The way he treats people on the phone can you imagine the way he is treating your food!! AVOID CHINA PALACE!! It's a terrible shame this place used to be the best in Dundee. I'm not a review type person but from what I read of all the recent reviews it has gone right down hill, I'm not surprised with that disgusting person running it. To the young lad that works there get another job you'll get a bad name for yourself sticking up for him

Food was burnt. Called to complain was shouted at down phone, hung up. Called back still no further forward. Kenny the owner is a horrible man who tries to intimated you verbally. Server is a lovely boy who needs to work elsewhere. As if that is how customers who pay his bills at end of day I dread to think how his staff is treated. Kenny your are disgusting man. P.s still didn't get refund and eat that night as it was the last of what I had. Absolute scum bag.

Chicken and Mushroom soup was fine, Stir fry beef noodles were very dry and tasteless and at £8.10 for this particular dish....Needs looked at.......Very very disappointed. Delivery was fast and driver polite.

Ordered from here tonight foods normally good but tonight it absolutely discusting got 2 large curry sauce and chips and a small fried rice a curry sauce... curry sauce was really dark and tasted awful chips had black bits all over them fried rice was like mush phone shop for the very rude man to hang up on me ordered from here for over 15 year and WONT be ordering again...waste of money wouldn't even give me a refund looked like dogfood 🤢🤢 ewww

Absolutely shocking! Ordered before and this was just taking the piss! Paid nearly twenty quid for what amounts to soup ? Asked for mushrooms instead of peppers got it full of peppers?

Pork curry was a disgrace, salt and pepper chips were shocking and noodles swimming in grease. Never again.

Been going here for years and its been great, but we ordered something tonight and the taste was totally different, the curry sauce has changed and the strips of beef wasn’t crunchy -so disappointed

After reading some of the poor reviews I thought I would share my experiences. This is a fantastic chinese with such high quality ingredients which I feel is fairly reflected in the pricing. The chicken is proper chicken and none of the processed stuff, the pancake rolls are not caked in grease like most other places and all in all it tastes really good. We order both chicken and beef and have never been disappointed, the beef is always cooked to perfection and just melts in the mouth. I mainly order for collection but the times I have ordered for delivery it has come at the time I have specified and always hot enough. This is a great quality Chinese with good prices.

This place might be under new ownership as the meals I ordered were not up to the great 'old school' standard of before. It was edible and okay but the chicken and sweetcorn portion was smaller and the special fried rice was minus the fried egg on top but now included prawns (I think it should include prawns but I'm not a lover of seafood hence why I loved the previous offering). It was tasty enough but I think you'll notice a difference if you normally order from here.

"Best Chinese in Dundee". I posted this comment about a year ago.I have been using this Chinese for over 25 years and have never been so disappointed with the service. Unfortunately it is now under new management. My husband went in on Thursday night (as usual) and asked for my order (always in a foil container) only to be told that they do not serve food in foil containers any more! So I'm sad to say that this is one customer they have just lost. Bring back Jenny and her team!

Should've believed the previous reviews, phoned for delivery at 2120 it arrived 2140 cold! It included a spring roll which is always 20mins easy fresh, it came here cold as was the chips and the chow mein!! Will never go back and it was expensive for a lot of crap!! Someone has to shut this place down!!

I had ordered food to arrive after 10pm, which was when I was due to start work unfortunately the food had arrived way before I did and was cold, unfortunately I didn't have time to call the restaurant to sort this out but although cold the meal was still decent would order again just after I get to work lol

Food arrived EXTREMELY late and when calling to check if my order had been dispatched, I only managed to get out that I had placed an order an hour ago before the rude woman over the phone interrupted me and said all orders had been dispatched and tried to get me off the phone. It was another 30 mins before our food arrived after that.

Worth the wait food was amazing

Best curry in town, food was excellent, with great service & on time delivery.

Chilli garlic sauce was watery and vinegary, tiny portions and still binned most of it. Never again.

Might have got more stars but the sauce was missing for my order. The reason for the sauce is because I find the rice dishes a bit dry for me. And when I called 15 minutes later to tell them they had shut at 7pm. Guess they weren't busy..

Food was good but very small portions

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. After a 3 and a half hour wait and multiple back and forth phone calls to say the food hasn’t arrived, restaurant told us they hadn’t received our order, and then that they had and it had been dropped off(when it hadn’t) An hour after that the food arrived and the delivery man was extremely rude. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Food was luke warm and that is being generous. Tin of juice was warmer than the food. worst ive had in a long time. asked for crispy chips they were still hard tattie and hardly cooked. AVOID

Got a beef and green peppers clearly states it comes with thin noodles and the guy on the phone was saying it didn’t. £8.30 for beef and green peppers no thanks! Got hung up on and spoken to so rude. Won’t be back! 🤷‍♀️

Chips weren’t cooked, I asked for beef curry (no veg) it came with veg. Rice was hard ( wasn’t fresh at all ) Food was cold and tasteless. The delivery guy never done the ( no contact) as he handed me the bag. He never had gloves or anything on either.

Food came 30 minutes before due which was excellent. Salt n pepper chips were really really yummy and the curry sauce w/ rice was flavourful if a little lukewarm. The chop suey had a smell that wasn't very pleasant and the texture of the chicken wasn't nice so I didn't eat that but otherwise the chips were fab. Not too spicy. Asked for contact free delivery though which I didn't get. Driver was at door with bag even after I gave a hesitant wait before opening. Polite though 🤷🏻‍♀️

Every single meal ordered arrived cold, and the portion sizes were tiny for the prices charged, for example a chicken foo yung arrived in a small shallow plastic container and the food inside barely even came halfway up the walls of the container, I will never order from this place again and will make sure to tell all my friends and family to avoid at all costs!!

Terrible food, no flavour whatsoever. Prices also differs from the app to what’s in the shop. Waited 15 minutes over collection time and no apology.

Food came really quickly; nothing missing. The chips were slightly undercooked, and the sauce in the chicken curry was a bit on the thin side, but apart from that all the food was good. Would order from here again.

Ordered at 5:40pm, food was meant to arrive at 6:50pm and it didn't actually arrive until 7:50pm. Called the restaurant but was given extremely unclear answers to everything I enquired and the man who answered sounded very frustrated that I called, although I do understand he was busy. We have been in to order from China Palace quite a few times before but this experience has been extremely off putting for us as a family to ever go to China Palace again.

2 and a half hours after ordering and 2 phone calls, food finally arrived. Won't be ordering from here again. Food fairly unimpressive.

Ordered chicken fried rice NO egg or peas and it came with both them in it and also my chips were not cooked at all !!!

Early delivery however the salt and pepper chips had no veg and were tasteless. The ribs were also fatty and disgusting as well. I feel absolutely conned for the price.

I know theres a pandemic and its busy but at least have the decency to be honest with an updated time of arrival. And give us the choice if too late to decline order.

There portions were tiny, the chips were raw, I found plastic in my chicken curry and there was onions in the pork curry when I asked for none, there was no syrup or meat on the ribs and it was cold I threw the whole thing in the bin, I never called them because I wouldn't take any more food from them, absolutely disgusting

Food is disgusting for I had £33 order just arrived 20 mins ago everything soggy chicken calls chips half portion in the tubs no flavour to food atall tastes off never tastes anything like it asked for my money bk said if I bring down they can do witch I can't do ment to be on way with the prawn crackers they left out aswell with I said I plated food up only thing I can do is put all in a bag nothing got ate

Don't usually write reviews but after reading previous ones for China Palace I thought it was important to leave one. I absolutely love ordering Chinese food from here and would never go anywhere else. The chicken is great, not that cheap chewy chicken that most Chinese restaurants seem to use just now. Its real Chicken, I always get chicken breast and I'm not disappointed. Introduced my family to it who were loyal to tip top and they've been converted. The only thing is that delivery can take an hour as they are usually very busy but id definitely say its worth the wait. Always get good service, whether going in or on the phone. Never been disappointed yet. Highly recommend.

Really appreciate during this time that food was going to be delivered late but when it was delivered my cans of juice were missing. I had ordered special curry but only had beef an chicken it in.

Not the best salt and pepper chips but still good and big portion size.

Food was cold. Took 3 hours after the order was placed for the food to arrive. And to top of off all of the food was stone cold. Had a £50 order and 4 items were missing. Tried phoning but the phone just rang and rang.

Normally the food is great and time is fine. But I was disappointed this time as both dishes were only half full. Normally its full so a bit disappointed that the portion size has dramatically decreased.

Delivered 1hr 10 minutes late (after estimated delivery time of 8:55). Food cold. Required to reheat in microwave.

Ordered a special curry with noodles and a pancake roll. Pancake roll was really good but was more like battered than a pastry, packed with filling which was good. Nothing worse than empty spring rolls. Curry sauce was decent, lots of meat but disappointed it was tiny prawns rather than the big ones but appreciate that places are maybe struggling to order just now. Would definitely recommend, said 90 minutes or so for delivery but I think it was here in about 75 which isn’t too bad for a weekend and given that lots of places closed. Will be back :)

Not one for leaving bad reviews but.. ordered beef curry and recieved a chicken curry. Chips were not cooked properly and the portion size of the curry for £7.50 was shocking. Only good thing was it was early.

Chicken wings were very spicy compared to other chinese takeaways but maybe just my preference. Chips were slightly undercooked but still edible. Would order again to try other things.

Close to being pretty good, the main downfall being the food wasn’t that hot when we got it - which was a surprise as it arrived slightly early. All the dishes were “nice” but we didn’t rave about them.

My partner ordered the ‘Chicken Chow Mein’ and halfway through eating it she had to spit out a metal staple. We phoned the restaurant to complain and to ask for a refund on the affected item, only to be told - “We don’t use staples in the kitchen, so it can’t have been from us.” - I’m not the type to “plant” an item into a meal just to get it for free. It’s also insulting that I’ve had to type that to clear my name. They stated that they didn’t do refunds but did try to resolve it by offering a replacement meal but after finding a staple in the food, the last thing we’re going to be doing is eating from there again. Unfortunately, as I stated earlier I/we won’t be eating there again and I hope this makes you think twice before ordering here.

Worst chinese we have ever had. The salt and pepper chips were bland, the noodles had more bean sprouts than actual noodles.. the pork, chicken and beef meal didnt taste like meat just rubber and the sauce was tasteless, and to top it off my partner was up the whole night unwell with stomach cramps. Will never be ordering again

The salt and pepper chips were stale & little warm like they were just reheated. I’m quite disappointed as that was the main reason for ordering a Chinese. We ordered sweet & sour crispy chicken however the sweet and sour was far too spicy. It was barely edible. The only enjoyable part of the meal was the chicken chow mein. Their was no faults with that. Never order from here again, oh and it was a late arrival

Chicken curry was lovely chicken balls were also very good noodles were dry and tasted burnt not very good chips were clearly refried.... Probably numerous times totally in edible rice was alright some parts werent cooked through leaving hard parts throughout
