Don't waste your money!!....this used to b one of the best....unfortunately not any more!!.....ordered takeaway last night..portion sizes were a joke..very small,food was cold,tasteless ...embarrassing....won't b back.

This used to be one of the best in East end..NOT ANY MORE!!....take away last night was nothing short of EMBARRISING.....PORTIONS WERE TINY,FOOD WAS TASTELESS AND COLD!!!....WONT B ORDERING OR VISITING EVER AGAIN!!!....USED TO LOVE THIS PLACE..SHOCKING!!

Love this little Chinese, service is second to none, staff are very courteous and helpful. Food,as always,was amazing and great value for the money. Ordered a takeaway before we left, which was a first, family loved it, said it was the best salt and chili chips he'd tasted. It's definitely worth a visit.

Worst ever Chinese take away, chips were old like they’ve microwaved, the sausages were cheap and a weird texture, the prawn toast was slimy in side and the beef and mushroom was cold and the meat had a weird texture if that’s what you call it, I will never order from here again, what a waste of money

Ordered chicken fried rice, came with less than 2oz chicken, chicken chow mein which came with plain white boiled chicken no seasoning and after paying 28 pounds still wanted to charge me for prawn crackers which every Chinese gives free with orders

What has happened to this place. The most bland, tasteless , greasy Chinese food I have ever had. Food for a family celebration and the only thing which had any taste was the curry. Kinda impossible to mess that up though.

This used to be THE BEST place in the east end. Not anymore. Tonight the food was bland, tasteless and extremely greasy. Boiled chicken in the chicken chow main. Totally disgusting- gone are the days on the nice, spicy curries!

Ordered the gluten free salt and chilli chicken, recieved a portion of rubbery cold chicken in water with onions. Absolutely disgusting. My partner returned the dish to the restaurant, and they gave her an apology and a new fresh dish, of which was.....just plain cold rubbery chicken. No sauce, no flavour, nothing. Absolutely disgusting. 1st and last time from me! Avoid!!!!!

Best chinese in the East end of Glasgow

Last minute arrangement arrived and it was quiet so no waiting around ordered drinks and placed in our food order and we weren't disappointed. Would definitely recommend the food and the service was first class.

Went in for lunch on Friday reasonably priced 2 course meal for a £10 smaller portions totally worth the money had salt and chilli chips and a breast of chicken curry (£2 extra for breast) arguably the best chicken curry in Britain , beer is way overpriced for a can of Tenants at £3.50, toilets were clean, service was good, enjoyed mainly for the curry

Went for a takeaway they were very busy. I happily waited for my meal which was excellent. Latest visit same excellent food provided very quickly.

Found this little gem by accident. Food was so tasty and served fresh and piping hot. I had mussels to start and was delighted they were the large green lipped ones when they arrived rather than the small with no meat. Then i got crispy shredded chicken which was sooo good.Staff were also very friendly .We live up north but will definitely be back in when we are back in Glasgow

Got take away: large chicken curry and rice in same dish. Curry was creamy, not to spicy and onions were sweet with a crunch.

This used to be my favourite Chinese restaurant when I stayed in the area, moved away quite a few years ago, just had a chicken satay from them and it was as good as it was, I see the restaurant has got a few bad reviews on here so go and try it for yourself

Went for wee birthday dinner here last night.. was a set menu 2 courses for £15.50 not a great amount of variety.. they had salt & chilli ribs on menu so asked if could just have plain ribs with some gravy which was told was fine however they charged £2 extra for the splash of gravy.. 2 of us ordered beef satay which I always order when out at a Chinese but it was rotten.. the beef was like burnt beef ends on a bed of warm crunchy onions & green peppers with a wee pot of powdery satay sauce on side I have never experienced beef satay like it. I sent mine back& the guy actually questioned if I had had satay before but my mum doesn’t like complain so didn’t send hers back they brought me breast of chicken curry which was ok so we ended up both sharing the one curry. They cleared the table to which there was full beef satay yet when brought the bill still charged full price plus extra £2 for the breast of chicken.. my toddler got fried rice, chips & gravy kids portion plus a scoop of vanilla ice cream which was £6.90. The ice cream was rotten so she never touched it. I also had a large glass of wine which didn’t taste very nice. Def wouldn’t return here for dinner felt was overpriced for not that great food or service.

Lovely food but felt like the staff want you eat and leave as quick as possible as hadn't finished the starters and main was on the table while having a drink too

I'm sorry but this was honestly the worst chinese I have ever had, I'm never one to ever complain about food but I could not even eat it, there was more fat than there was chicken & the chicken that was in the curry was black, just looking at it honestly gave me the boke

Would not recommend eating food from here, the rice was overcooked and smelled like it had been lying around for days! The satay sauce was pure oil and made me physically sick.

Cracking wee place, been going for years. Staff are friendly and the chicken satay is amazing.

This used to be the best place to go but recently it has gone down hill . The chicken in the curry was like rubber the rice was like boild rice not fried curry sauce very plain and spicy curry soup have had this many times but tonight was like water. I have a feeling this is because I returned my order last time as it was cold when it arrived

The chicken in the curry is brown, Prawn toast is soggy and cold, the salt & chilli chicken is pink inside, the chips are soggy and cold and you have the cheek to have a £15 minimum spend for delivery when it took almost 2 hours to get here I'm not even eating it the lot tastes nasty you should be ashamed of sending it out like that.

Satay sauce was brill but portion too small it's something I order all the time so wont be ordering this again I was still hungry aft it's not worth the money !

They just increased the price for the government scheme ! Very high price regarding the other restaurants, bad service and we asked for no spicy food and they put a lot of spicy. Possible the waitress dont understand English! No recommend at all🤬

Been coming to the China house for 20 years or maybe more . Place has went down a slippery slope . Portion sizes cut and flavour has all but disappeared the last few years .I now use another 2 Chinese I believe is better but kept giving here a try until now . Curry sauce is absolutely watery and tasteless, chicken balls are a third of what they used to be with a small slice of chicken in each and more expensive than most places around ? Have discussed with the staff a few times my issues only to be told there’s nothing changed or nothing wrong with my order .As of late terrible service , terrible food ruining a great local name . Disappointed to say the least, unfortunately you can’t leave a 0 review so 1 will have to suffice . Stay clear

Como era mi cumpleaños, decidimos recibir una entrega a domicilio de China House como regalo y trato. Ambas comidas principales fueron abundantes y muy sabrosas.El pedido se tomó por teléfono y se esperaba la entrega en una hora, sin embargo, la comida para llevar llegó después de 35 minutos.A un precio razonable también, especialmente para el tamaño de las porciones.

He estado aquí muchas veces normalmente muy bien, pero después del curry de esta noche no volveré. Me cuesta mucho ni siquiera intentar comer algo, pero esta vez realmente no pude comerlo, el arroz tenía un sabor desagradable y la salsa de curry era tan sosa que todo lo que se podía probar es harina.

This restaurant has the best chicken on the skewer Satay in Glasgow, however they really are tight with the sauce and when you ask for plenty of sauce you're met with that will be extra! its not a cheap place to start with. i'd rather they just charge that than go trough that nonsense, anyway meal is nice as usual in and out, sometimes you'd like to stay a wee bit longer without staff hoovering over you waiting to clear the table. other than that staff are nice, nice settings and will continue you go here.

Seguido por pollo agridulce al estilo de Hong Kong, pollo salado y picante y curry de char Sui, todo servido con arroz frito, una salsa encantadora pero no suficiente para la cantidad de arroz y demasiadas verduras. Ha tenido un cambio de imagen desde la última vez que se ve mucho mejor limpio y fresco. La única queja es el precio de una botella de coca / hierro bru a las 2. 40 cada uno.

Really getting fed up with this place I spend quite a lot of money in here they always get your order wrong also one of the staff is quite rude.

We really enjoyed our dinner tonight. Awesome as usual, only 1 criticism is not enough sauce on meals, once you’re home you’re not going back out ! However dinner was lovely & the onion rings were out magic ! Please add more sauce .....

Usamos China House porque sus platos Satay son muy sabrosos. Sin embargo, muy decepcionado con la cantidad de carne en un pollo y carne satay esta noche. Ambas porciones estaban dominadas por los pimientos y la cebolla con menos contenido de carne en cada uno. Obviamente el precio no refleja esto. No volveremos pronto

Visited this restaurant again after last visit 2yr ago. Starters very poor . Had mini spring rolls ... 6 came but no dip . Mains very tasty ...good portion.Staff attitude off putting .bit overbearing ...only couple in restaurant ..but felt as if being watched constantly ... Drinks overpriced as was food considering it is a restaurant in the East End of Glasgow . Very much doubt we would rush back .

Two three course meals for under £40 can't argue with that. Quality of food was very good and portions are good.

Had lunch with my mum 3 courses for £8.50 we both had the chicken noodle soup it was lovely n tasty. I had chicken satay it was full of peppers and onions :( sauce was nice but was far too much rice not enough sauce (I'd recommend more sauce) mum had the gammon steak it was massive. I had banana fritter again lovely mum had ice cream. Didn't like that we asked for cans and where told we only serve bottles and there was cases of cans at entrance. Also didn't like the woman working there watching us constantly.

This was thee place for chicken satay, sauce portions have super dwindled, now it’s moving on to other dishes, the quality of food is high And still expensive that’s why you have to also order extra portions of sauce !

#save the fish! If you have ever been in the restaurant their aquarium has massive fish which have hardly any room to turn around. Felt awful looking at them, ,poor souls 🐡

Soy local de Sandyhills y he visitado la casa de porcelana durante más de 20 años. Siempre me parece que tiene una gran relación calidad-precio y siempre una cálida bienvenida por parte del personal cuando visito. Es genial para una mesa de última hora para preparar un curry y relajarte un rato. Espero volver a aparecer pronto.

Too much of a choice of an excellent menu

On Sunday night we ordered our first home delivery from here for years - and were NOT disappointed. Punctual delivery of two piping hot starters and mains: all excellent! (Mussels in Black Bean sauce; Spring rolls, Lemon Chicken and Crispy Chilli chicken, both with boiled rice). Both meals thoroughly enjoyed!! I think some of the other reviews on here are for a different restaurant (for example, there is no Sweet and Sour Chicken on this menu). Really delighted with our experience and will be ordering again. Highly recommended *****

Great beef and black bean, but the beef satay was not very nice had no taste could use some seasoning the chips were over done and hard over crisped... Prawn crackers n chicken wings were spot on. Beef satay and chips let the meal down badly.

Three times I've had the worse taste in soup and curry from this shop and they overcharge. I won't be going back. This shop for soup and curry is a right let down and they know nothing about how to do proper made soup and proper made curry. I gave them 3 tries and was let down those three times.

Very disappointed just picked up a a breast of chicken curry fried rice from China house haven't been in for years absolutely tasteless very little sauce had to add salt for flavour now having a packet of cheese onion crisps as it went in the bin yuck!!

Acababa de dejar al nieto con nuestras hijas y no podíamos decidir dónde comer, pasamos por la Casa de China y decidimos visitarlo como solíamos comer allí hace 25 años cuando vivíamos en Shettleston.

Curry sauce was far to thick and tasteless. Salt n chilli chips thick with Batter. Stale smell of the rice and the cheek to charge £2.50 for prawn crackers that you should have got anyway sitting in. Offt never again

Got a take away from this place through just eat, and the sweet and sour chicken smelt off, it was really poor quality and strange the vegetarian spring rolls came in a kfc type packagaing. Honestly wasn’t convinced my vege meat was vegetarian at all. Would’nt try again
