Food is authentic and far from fast food taste highly recommend eating from China Garden

Where to start, delivery driver wouldn't ring door or enter the flat block. Food: crispy duck nope burnt broken bits, over cooked and dry. BBQ chicken wings, over cooked and dry southen fried with tub of something they called BBQ source Smoked chicken liked this was nice (only thing we had that was) Veg spring rolls nothing special here, came from some cash & carry Chicken fried rice dry and tasteless, could of done a better job myself. For what we had completely overpriced, we will NEVER be going back if your thinking of eating from here do yourself a favour and just don't.

Chicken balls very thick batter. Felt like they weren’t cooked properly. Prawn crackers tasted old.

I visit this Chinese restaurant regularly, and it never fails to impress. The food is consistently outstanding, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. It's truly the best in the area!

Arrived early, but the food was bland. No flavour in anything, rice was plain rice with bits of very bland chicken. Crispy fried chicken was bland and soggy and the chiw mein was virtually inedible. The only "flavoured bit" was the satay chicken.

The driver even went back to shop as they forgot my drink great service 👍

The food and service has always been great but they just got a new cook and the food is even better now.

I had a take away tonight Saturday 29th june which was delivered at 5 30pm. Unfortunately the duck with pancakes was over cooked, dry and hard. The spring onions were stingy and unpleasant. The spare ribs were very fatty but the rice was ok I always have a takeaway from here but this time it was well below par and I didn't enjoy the meal.

Burnt beef and very rude response from the complaint wouldn't refund or credit the burnt beef dishes ordered from here alot very disappointed ruined our dinner

Amazing food, lovely friendly service always piping hot

Tasteless, lukewarm Crab & Sweetcorn and Chicken Noodle soup. 'Beef' was fatty and tasteless, Singapore noodles were not cooked enough. Barely enough soy sauce to dip one Dim Sum, let alone six. Disappointed by a meal we were looking forward to and spent good money for.

Lovely Chinese food. Chips require attention. overcooked ......... Would order again without chips.

Bad bad bad. Hated it. My box of ribs included a bonless meat, which was hard to chew and had a long fleshy plastic like a tail.

A well run take away but sadly food quality and taste has gone downhill. It's tough to be a business right now. However I can only go on what I experience. We have ordered here for years and it has been one of the top Chinese takeaways. Food was always very high quality and always looked forward to visiting relatives in the area and getting a china garden. Now I don't think we will order anymore as the food just isn't good. It has gone from great to bad. No idea why. Hopefully things improve for the business and customers.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We ordered food on Deliveroo. We waited over 2 hours for our food. After calling them several times to ask where our food was, someone finally picked up and said that they are closed. We did not receive our food. Absolutely ridiculous! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!!

We ordered takeaway and food wasn’t great at all !! Beef in black bean sauce was like it was put in a whole load of gravy sauce, Singapore noodles had a big clump of sauce where it hadn’t been mixed properly and chicken in cashew nut was so bright that it didn’t look right!!!

So fed up with this place,the lady in the phone never listen always getting our order wrong a couple off times she has offered free food the next time but has now charged us for a order then saying they now add £3 delivery charge just to cover her back,been ordering from them over 5 years

Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would. I received an email confirmation confirming my order to then ring over an hour later to be told the order was cancelled and they sent an email out. I told them I had not received an email and they said it can show in emails 1-2 days after it had sent. They cancelled because they didn’t have a driver but didn’t feel like calling. The money has come out my bank and I told her it has and she said give it 3-4 days for it to show back in your account. She was so rude to me very blunt. Honestly bad customer service and rude in general.

The best sweet and sour, but the service is horrible. Horrible in the next level. I ordered food from here since a while. But all of a sudden they started to cancel my orders. Last night I said let's call them and ask, what's wrong. The lady said they have only two drivers. But the boss said if I pay by cash they can do it. I don't really understand. It means if I pay by cash they will have more drivers? Or they just avoid paying tax, this is why the cash. Disgusting service. I have no choice but to report this place

This place is actually disgraceful cold food if you manage to get what you actually order if u complain you get abused totally bad news all round marks out of ten minus 2 dog food

I would regularly order from the app & from them over the phone. Some times big orders over £100 for family birthdays. Food is always good but the staff on female on the phone/ front desk has no customer service. After years of ordering I will no longer use you. I am not sure how dishes that are £6.70 online are £7.40 when you phone to order. When asked what she can’t answer. Also when I picked up an order a last month for over £120 for a family birthday she said we are not entitled to the free dish. This is the offer for sled collection & paying cash. We got in after saying to cancel the order. It’s a shame as every small business needs repeat customers atm. I wish them luck as this is the worst service I have had from them in all the years I have used them.

Spent £123 cash was told no free dish yet a sign up stating over £50 free dish. Was told you had to call in or just turn up , online ordering not acceptable. Did get it in the end.

Nice food. Quite pricy. Did the same thing we always do where you order enough for 8 when only 4 of us. Warmed up a treat the next day.

I will never buy food from here again I went to collect , the place is filthy ,dirty.Kung- pau prawn had plenty sauce and onions taste disgusting. Singapore noodle not tasty no chicken no shrip it is just noodles fried.Overall experience is terrible not near this shop again Will give 0 🌟

This used to be the best local Chinese takeaway but it must have changed hands. The delivery time is now long and the standard of cooking has dropped considerably. Way too sour hot and sour soup. Tasteless chow mein that has never seen soy sauce. Look elsewhere for your takeaway.

Collected a takeaway from here this evening. I put the food straight in the bin when I got home and went hungry instead. This takeaway is FILTHY!!! So gross, it turned my stomach and I could not bear to eat the food. Sticky dirty floors and windows. The rest of the waiting area looked like a crack den. If that's what the reception/customer facing area looks like, imagine how dirty the kitchen is? VILE! I only ordered from here as they had a particular dish I like but will stick to Summer China in the Manor in future (which has a 5* rating from GOV hygiene)

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE Totally disgusting food, crispy duck more like crispy fat and covered in some kind of coating, dull stale meat that even my dog walked away from. Pancakes hard and cold and very small portions for the cost. Didn’t eat anything except the prawn crackers. This place should be investigated.

Omg I ordered through just last night I bit in to sweet and sour chicken to feel something sharp a piece of metal like led or wire I am going take this forward to the correct authorities as I could have died

Not worth the money. Never going again.

Having recently moved to the area, we couldn't wait to find a good Chinese takeaway. With a few in our area, we decided to give China Garden a try after reading the reviews. The food was really good and all the ingredients tasted fresh. Wondering whether we will actually try the other Chinese takeaways as this one was so good!

Last night we ordered for 7pm, it turned up at 5pm so by the time we came to eat it was stone cold. Not only that the food was left on the step, despite the fact we were paying cash. Then at 11pm get a knock on the door asking for the money. Had just put our newborn to sleep, so thanks for that. I asked the person if delivering the food 2 hours early then turning up at 11pm demanding payment & waking people up is acceptable customer service, he said he didn't care and we just had to pay. Have been loyal customers but we won't be ordering again. Absolute shambles & dreadful customer service.

Traveling here with friends, the ticket is ten pounds, it is very big, everyone can come here to play

I've tried the majority of restaurants takeaway"s in this area and this is my second favourite Chinese takeaway. Everything is not covered in oil and grease like most places and the food is fresh and cooked to Very well. Give them a go you won't be disappointed. Steven li.

Takeaway only so don't see how they could give a service charge. This is the best Chinese in town by a country mile.

Always ordered from here, but service has gone downhill recently, was given a time slot for delivery but was delivered very late, quality of food not great anymore either. No apology either. We will now be using Wongs across the road instead. Won't be coming back ☹👎

Order is at least 50 minutes late tried calling to ask where my food was was hung up on 2 times and would not answer the phone, still waiting

Last 2 orders have been wrong. When phoned to query tried to say we got what we asked for. First one we asked for half shredded duck we got whole. 2nd order we asked for 2 large egg fried rice got 2 regular. Was told would get a refund. Still waiting. It's a shame because we always use this one.

Went for my mother's birthday celebration. Service was terrible (about 50 mins between ordering and any food coming out) and food just ok. They then had the nerve to add a service charge to the bill. I won't be going back!

My family and I have ordered from this establishment several times and since the first order we ever placed we could never I repeat never go to any other Chinese establishment, the portions are amazing the food is fresh, the standard of food has been consistent. Got part of my order wrong, agreed for me to me return and replace the incorrect item but then had the cheek to charge me the extra 25pence.

ordered via Just Eat and after one hour of waiting, they cancelled the order as they were too busy. Ridiculous!! Will not try them again.

Just ordered 2 box meals that came full to the brine with good food! The delivery driver was a bit dimwitted but he got here in the end and the food was very hot :) cheap meal for 2 people £13 just call and ask for box meal. They come in a circle container though 😆

A good option for local Chinese takeaway, quick to deliver and quicker collection. Oysters are good, get the chili squid.

Expect a long long wait for your food. Order at least 90min in advance. ridiculous.
