Worst Chinese takeaway we have ever had. Overpriced and in the bin. Beef curry horrible, beef tough. Chicken awful. Chips hard and scrappy. Fried rice, brown? Only recommendation, go somewhere else.

Absolutely beautiful piping hot food it’s the first time for us at this restaurant very pleased we went it’s was 20 mins and delivery was very quick I will be back Thankyou china garden

This was always our go to Chinese takeaway, but recent order 40% increase in price, this is way over the current cost of living increase. I don't know if they have changed hands or just the chef as the meals were different. Food was good, salted prawns were now not as salty as they used to be which is much better, sometimes there were inedible. Chicken soup was watery and tasteless. Lots of meat and prawns in the dishes and very tasty although the Thai red curry wasn't a Thai curry, but it was spicy. Overall, good quality food, but very expensive. We'll have to try out the other takeaways now to compare.

Over priced rubish food won't ever step foot in that place again over 5 quid for chips and 8 quid for a curry that was only just eatable

This little Chinese takeaway has got to be the best I have ever had by far ! You can tell that the food is freshly cooked and the quality is also so good ! , I say worth every penny ! 😁

Ordered a takeaway for a girls night in. The food was amazing. Giant spring rolls the best I’ve ever tried. Sweet and sour chicken, crispy beef in the most delicious chillie sauce, spare ribs, sea weed, rice, chow mein. Everything cooked to perfection. The order was taken efficiently and politely and was delivered on time. Thank you for making our evening so perfect.

Worst £30 ive ever spent! Rice over cooked. Chicken rock hard. Pork chewy n full of fat. Safe to say we will not be using again.!

We usually use China Royal but after reading positive reviews we decided to try China Garden. Worst decision. The food quality is very very poor. The chicken has a strange texture. The skinny noodles were overcooked mush. Everything else was flavourless. Unfortunately the meal ended up in the bin . We couldn't even eat it. Probably the worst Chinese food I have ever tried.

Visited this restaurant in September decor needs a little update but ambience and food very nice would go back again

Was a bit optimistic about ordering from here but thought we'd give it a bash and thank goodness we did, food was absolutely amazing and plenty of it. We ordered a Salt + Spicy Munchie Box and a chicken chow mein - special Saturday night offer £20.50 - it fed 3 adults amply and there was enough left for 2 adults to warm up the following day. Food was of excellent quality, well cooked and extremely tasty, also included complimentary prawn crackers. Added bonus they deliver too for a small fee. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to try ourselves again.

Lovely man that served me, but the food wasn't so good. Vegetarian - The vegetable chow mein was very, very dry, there was no sauce at all with it, and the chips were very dry too, (Chinese chips should be crispy outside and light and fluffy inside). The king prawn curry and rice was just okay though. Don't think we'll be going back. But will keep an eye on these reviews for improvement.

We had the Mother's Day special Munchie Box tonight which consisted of prawn toast, spare ribs, salt and spicy chicken, chicken balls, spring rolls, chips, rice, curry sauce and prawn crackers. The food was piping hot and there was more than enough food to feed the family. The service was first class and was definitely one of the best Chinese takeaway's I have ever had, excellent value for money, great choice of dishes, will definitely be back.

China Garden has been my one stop place for Chinese cuisine for more than 20 years. Within this time the quality has never wavered, the menu has only ever improved, and the service is reliable as ever. Of particular note has been the highly efficient service despite lockdown and other such restrictions. Overall, China Garden scores highly in value for money, taste, quality and efficiency of service and I would recommend China Garden in a heartbeat.

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered. 1 hour later still not arrived. Called they said they tried to call. No missed calls. Called 30 min later they said tried to call again and told us to pick it up. Cancelled instead. They weren’t bothered. No apology. Shocking service

We have recently moved to Lincolnshire and chose this take away because of its good reviews. Unfortunately we can only award them 1 star and they are lucky to get that . We don’t enjoy hard ,dried up yesterday’s chips reheated . They tasted and looked like cardboard and I still cannot believe that they thought it was acceptable to serve them to a customer. If we lived nearer. I would have returned them and given the owner the chance try and eat one without needed emergency dental treatment.Obviously we will not be returning to China Garden and would advise the public to avoid this place.

Once again a very good service and quality takeaway - would highly recommend the special fried rice.

Visited this Take Away on Saturday with my husband Ordered Chips Curry Sauce on a tray & Chips Fried Rice Curry sauce open was told they can’t do that but give pot of curry on side. When it arrived it was in a tin foil carton closed. Told them we wanted it open so they took the lid of carton and that’s how it was presented. Usually it cones on a polystyrene tray. Not my idea of on a tray in tin foil carton

I was thoroughly impressed with both the service I received over the phone and with the delivery driver. Everyone enjoyed the dishes they ordered and we would definitely order from here again! It’s definitely one of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve ordered from in a long time.

Ordered Beef Curry and Fried Rice with Mixed Vegetables and it was excellent. It was delivered all the way to Hibaldstow on a very cold night but arrived hot and tasted great.Nice service on the phone and the delivery was made quickly by a friendly and smart deliveryman, so I will be ordering from China Garden again!

This takeaway is hit and miss. Can be excellent at times and others deceive. Had the chow mein which was a let down but the chips and curry sauce are spot on! Quite pricey specially if you include delivery.

Consistently good. Last night's Chinese roast pork with ginger and spring onion hot was superb. The pork melted in your mouth. Staff, as always very friendly, knowledeable and helpful. Just let them know your preferences and they always oblige.

The food is overpriced but of an okay standard and we ordered plain noodles however we were given noodles which were not plain and had egg in them and loads of other things like carrot, lentils and peas as well as onion. This isn’t plain? Overall okay but wouldn’t go here again.

We went in a few weeks ago and collected rather than delivery as usually do. I ordered what usually do and asked for mo carrots as I am allergic to them. The lad wrote it down and sent through to kitchen. When got home found the curry covered in carrots that allergic to. I telephoned immediately and he asked me to take them out and eat it. Disgraceful they were covered so couldn't eat. I asked for them to deliver and was told no they busy. blamed chef and said would have a word why I'd left already and wasn't going to drive all way back. Was told next time I go in they will not charge for curry. Not been back yet. Beware If you have allergies.

This a takeaway that does home deliveries, the food is excellent comes in large portions, and if you require something done different that is no problem to them, The delivery drivers are unfailingly polite and prompt, and is the best Chinese takeaway in the area without a doubt.

Came here with my family and loved it. Friends told me about how good this place was, and it’s fair to say it didn’t disappoint. Had a satay chicken which was superb. Great staff as well with a nice friendly environment which made the takeaway a lot more welcoming. Our large order took no time to make along with the great standard of food.I’ve also had a delivery from China Garden, which came super fast. Can’t rate this place highly enough!!!

I have been ordering food from china garden for a few years, it is defiantly the cheapest Chinese take away in Brigg, the food quality is good. i think the take away closes too early on a weekend, even when making a large order over the telephone 10 minutes before closing they would not take my order.

La salsa curry es muy sabroso y estupendas patatas fritas. El personal es muy amable y la tienda de los alrededores es muy limpio. El aparcamiento es abundante por todos lados. Un banco fuera es un gran lugar para parar y comer en una noche calurosa.

This is top of my list not only for Chinese cuisine, but for any cuisine when in Brigg. With a decent variety of dishes, set meals of decent variety for all company, reliable and speedy delivery times, China Garden provides Chinese food of the first order.Starters such as prawn toast or Chicken Balls, coupled with a decent variety of curry dishes, foo yung dishes, or various speciality dishes, I have never been disappointed.In short, my one stop venue for Chinese food in the Brigg area.

I ordered from this place directly and had my food within 20 minutes. Amazingly quick. The food was cooked really well. Tasted pretty awesome and I will be using them again. They even threw in free prawn crackers because I had to 'wait' 20 mins! Amazing!

Visited recently, hot and spicy ribs fantastic, a huge portion, so big we did not eat our main, duck green pepper in a black bean sauce which was superb when eaten the next day ! What a fantastic bargainMy compliments to the chef.

Good variety of Chinese food. Well cooked and presented. I would recommend the sweet and sour chicken honk kong style and chicken fried rice.

No masses of thickening, sugar and salt, nor pre cooked food brought in from other sources. This was good home-some tasty food and plenty of it. Big Family Visiting (BFV) loved it!

We think this is one of the best Chinese takeaways in Brigg. There are some nice Chinese restaurants but The China Garden is good value for money takeaway.

Our last visit in November was excellent, both the food and service (with a smile) were beyond criticism.This time the service was more functional rather than fun, and the crispy duck kit was cold with 'supermarket' style pancakes.The mains were still very good though, but at a total bill of £18 for two, it did feel a little worse than last time.

In the mood for something different to the White Horse last night, so decided to try the China Garden again for a change, on the way home.Maybe Wetherspoon's should poach some of the staff from here, especially the bubbly girl at the counter who made the whole experience worthwhile. Last time I commented that the food was very good, but £7 seemed a little expensive. Now I'm beginning to realise that for the quality of the food and portion size (almost enough for 2), £7 is good value.This time I had the chicken with ginger and spring onions, plus fried rice, and it was perfect.

Been here many many times. Each time the food has been nothing short of excellent. Plenty to choose from. Well worth a visit you will not be disappointed

Always enjoy my food from here and the staff are really nice too. The prices are reasonable and it is my favourite chinese in the area.

Have not ordered from this take away for over a year and will not be doing so again. Telephoned an order on a Sunday which took over an hour and a half to be delivered a relatively short distance. The Chicken Curry was brown and looked an unusual colour for this dish and it did not taste authentic. Given the wait the food was cold. When I telephoned to address this I was told we should return it for them to reheat! Quite how that is safe from a food hygiene point of view I will never know! I was offered £5 of any future order in fairness but that will not be happening any time soon!

For visitors to Brigg I think it's important to note that China Garden is not a restaurant but a take away that also offers a local delivery service. The staff behind the counter are always friendly and smiling. The menu is extensive. The quality of the food is quite predictable being of "run-of-the-mill" take away standard. I have had a number of meals from here with few complaints. Meals I would recommend are chicken chop suey with fried rice or the special chow mein which contains shrimps, king prawn, pork and chicken . The chow mein can be ordered dry or in a gravy. I have mine dry as the gravy makes the meal a bit sloppy. Reasonably priced and quite filling.

New to the area we ordered a takeaway and asked would they call a Taxi for us only to be told that the Taxi would have to come from Scunthorpe so they wouldent do..since then we now know there is a taxi rank quite close to the shop.

Not been here for quite a while, so it was nice to find the chicken satay and fried rice even more enjoyable than I'd remembered.The service was prompt as well considering I hadn't phones in first.Only slight issue is that £7 is beginning to look a little expensive, what with Wetherspoon's so close.

I have dined here many times over the years and always enjoy the experience. The food is delicious, fresh and well presented. Following the closure of another Chinese restaurant in Brigg last year, this one has become very busy! My only criticism would be that the decor needs updating as it has become tired over the years.The takeaway has suffered with long waiting times now and needs to be managed better at a weekend.

This Chinese is awesome, we've been coming for years and have tried every Chinese in a 30 mile radius. We love Chinese! This is the best one by far, so many others are either too sweet, too bland or too shy to add a bit of spice in the relevant dishes. They even deliver to us though we're in the sticks. Apart from superior flavours, they also have the biggest portions AND the best prices so by far the best value and like I say, we've tried them all. Great stuff and lovely staff too!

Tried this place for the first time after it was recommended to me. I just went for a takeaway and had roast duck in plum sauce with egg fried rice. It cost £7.40 and they only take cash. On arrival I had to wait a short while because no one was attending the service area and there was no way to draw their attention. The order was taken in a fairly perfunctory manner although I noticed that they were a lot more friendly with what I assume were 'regulars' who came in after me. I waited a few minutes and there was a Sun newspaper to read whilst I waited. On returning home I found they had also put some prawn crackers in there. The food was very good and I devoured it all. I'll definitely be going back next time I fancy a Chinese and hope to become one of those regulars.

Lovely place, good service and food always good. They have a take away side as well and it is excellent. Busy place but we have always managed to get in and the lovely little pub over the road is the place to go while you wait for your take away or table.

The owner lady is absolutely lovely. By far the best Chinese in brigg if not north lincs! Try the ribs they are brill. Have tried a variety if menu options and have never been disappointed. Good value for money! Would t go anywhere else for my Chinese now I've tried China Garden! Would recommend to every body! If I wouldn't pile on the pounds i would eat here every day!! Even my partner who dislikes Chinese takeaway gave his seel of approval and trust me, that's saying something!!
