China Garden in Croydon

Just had a meal delivered and found it very disappointing. The chicken balls were stodgy and uncooked. The batter was to thick. The beef chop suey had no flavour and the chicken curry was bland, without any heat. We have used this outlet for many years and the standard was always good but have become disillusioned by prices often increasing and the food quality decreasing. 🙁

Good food at a reasonable price.

We‘ve been using China gardens for years, no more, the worst food we’ve had. Every dish bland and tasteless. Special chow mien was plain not a prawn in the dish very little of any other ingredient apart from the noodles and bean sprouts. The same was said of the special fried rice, not my dish. BBQ Spare ribs dry and burnt, lemon chicken very little flavour… plastic tray of gloop. Won’t see our cash only again.

Food is always great here and speed is great too

Been eating from this takeaway for about 34 years now it has had new ownership since that time and there was a time when the food had changed for the worst but now is back to original recipes /chef's it's amazing food High quality but the prices are way to expensive with little or no deals for how much you spend ...shame think that they should give regulars more deals for loyalty all that said its still best Chinese takeaway for miles 👍

Chicken curry with 5tiny slices of chiken large onion and lots of pea's came home lookt at it and thrown it in the bin vile not even a pounds worth of food avoid this place unless you are starving

I am not a regular here but got a takeaway after visiting the big Iceland nearby. The special chow mein here is actually quite good, the noodles are not that oily and it is colourful with green peas. Expect long waiting times because they are quite popular!

My partner ordered Chicken Curry Extra Hot and he said it was tasteless and the sauce was very watery. Normally really thick and tasty. Have been using them for years and really disappointing when the taste and quality isn't there.

Amazing food from this place! Have loved ordering from here for over 10 years. However the delivery can get a bit confused as we have ordered certain things and paid for them yet they were not given to us. Still amazing food but just a bit ticked off.

Best Chinese in new Addington a bit pricey for a family of 4 but you do get loads

Good Chinese food with a good selection, I like the following dishes Singapore rice noodles, lemon chicken, special mixed curry, Sweet & Sour Prawn Balls/ Chicken Balls(not to much batter), Deep Fried Chilly Beef, Egg Fried rice, Mushroom Fried Rice or Vegetable fried rice, My dad likes the Singapore fried rice Vegtable, Mushroom or Prawn currys, Niece likes chips and plain curry so a dish to fit how your feeling & time of day. Staff are friendly and can help you pick a dish to suite you, are also willing to make changes like a but more spicy they can do that. Good sized portions too. Do home delivery now too but no card payment

The Service and Food are of a good standard, not much to put becuase it is a Take away.

Disappointed that they stopped giving prawn crackers on orders over a certain price, basically a £2 price increase. Otherwise excellent.

Ordered tonight... food come in good time.... only for the order to be wrong.... i called back the lady on the phone was extremely rude... wouldn't take responsibility for the fact she had made a mistake... told me she has worked there 15 years and doesnt make mistakes..... new food was sent out much to her disappointment ( she also had done this to a neighbour tonight)

Had meal there on 3/08/18 with family it was so good all plate in the house were emptied food was fresh and piping hot on arrival 👌🍽

First time of using for delivery and messed it up didn't bring the sweet and sour sauce for the chicken balls rung them up and delivered a satay sauce. Rung them back again to be told we have it and there not bringing it after having to shout down the phone that we don't have the sauce it was at last delivered after the third attempt. Will never use this shop again complete idiots.

Always polite & the food is very tasty. Would give it 5 stars if they were open on a Monday. They have a captive clientele!

Just ordered my dinner get home and the chicken was just fat not one bit of actual chicken this isn't the first time they are disguising

Very nice food. Everyone I know that has eaten here has always returned. Very fast getting the food ready. Friendly staff. They will change the menu if there is something you cannot/want to eat in the cooking. The prices are very good. The only thing that I would change is that they don't deliver. I guess hence the prices are good.
