China Chef Chinese Takeaway in Dudley

My partner ordered takeaway at 6:30pm this evening and our food STILL isn't here 2hours later despite being notified that our order was on the way over half an hour ago. While I can understand delays and busy periods, a two hour delay is ridiculous. Every time I try to call the line is busy and I can't get through. Poor service and lack of communication.

We have been coming here for a good few years now, the owner is great. Always knows what we want to order, the food is always excellent and piping hot/ fresh. Tried countless others all over the country while im away with work, they never beat this takeaway. Munchie box is such a great idea! excellent! I would highly recommend trying the munchie box, chicken fired rice, chicken chow mien, Shredded duck, salt and chilli chicken, salt and chilli ribs, singapore chow mien, singapore rice noodles, sesame toast, satay sauce, seaweed. I dont order all these at the same time or i'd be huge, Just my go to's which never dissapoint. I'd highly recommend you trying here :) Keep up the good work, Best street

Ordered a recommended takeaway, special chow mein. Noting at all special about it - in fact it was possibly the blandest tasting chinese I have had! Never again! There are much better choices than this rubbish.

Small Chinese takeaway just off the Halesowen roundabout. We phoned the order through and there was just a short wait when we arrived. Reasonably priced meals. The servings were large & well cooked, although they did taste a touch salty. The beef was tender. Parking can be an issue if the road is busy.

Had our delivery come tonight and was enjoying our food until I saw a DEAD BUG on our prawn crackers. The chicken looked strange too. Not impressed.

Still waiting on an order, feel like it should have come with a delivery date of 3-5 working days. Been waiting over 2 hours

Been using this Chinese for years….. never ever again . Ordered 18.30 on app, still waiting 4 phone calls later at 21.10

Received order for our family, ood looked great, however the pot of curry sauce was that flimsy it spilled all over my daughters hand causing second degree burns. Hence meal ruined and was not eaten due to having to take care of the burn which will now take weeks to heal

Absolutely appalling!!! They have rats🤢 I’m going to be calling Envirnomental health on Monday! It is not on! I live a few doors up from the takeaway, my front and back garden have always got rats in because of them, I also have rat hole in my back garden going under my fence to them!

I got a menu in the post and this place looked good so I tried it. Salt and chilli king prawn was magnificent and so was the Singapore chow mein. The quality in the chips was also amazing. Would DEFINITELY recommend.

Food was 30 minutes late but worth the wait food was still hot and really nice….would recommend 👍🏻

Been using this Chinese for years. Im very shocked at what i witnessed when collecting my order. The girl on the til who has served me many times is always polite and very helpful and i was very shocked at some very rude man shouting at his member of staff when she was doing her best. Shame on the owner who made the girl leave in tears. I shalk not be using this takeaway again

Absolutely disgusting food never again

1st time trying it , Saturday night the order was at my house within 30mins and was piping hot, really nice food too will definitely be ordering again

First and last time ordering. Food was poor quality and arrived barely warm. Found only 4 prawns in king prawn satay that were like rubber

Great Chicken Balls and Noodles. Chicken and Mushroom can be either a delight or regret. Apart from that no complaints! Great delivery time as well!

Can you ask your drivers to stop parking in the double yellows on the corner, just off the island. You're going to cause a crash one day.

Food arrived very late 1 hour & 25mins after ordering. Food was all stone cold. Chips were rock hard, duck was really dry & prawn chow Mein was very bland. Food was terrible & a waste of money.

I dont have a problem with the staff or the food but I will not be using this shop again, I have bought food from them for over a month now and the last two times I have been asked or my post code and address, when I asked why he was very vague an could not tell me why he has not asked me the dozen or so time previously, I pointe out to him that he does not have a privacy policy and by law he needs to have one before taking personal information an it should be on display and he should also tell his customers what he does with and how he stores that information, I now have to contact my bank to cancel my card because I do not know if he has written down my address and post code along with my bank details, I have another reason why he started doing this but I will keep that to myself.

Ordered Special Chow Mein, waited over an hour and it was stone cold.

We've been ordering from China Chef ever since Happy House closed down (long time) recently it's been getting progressively worse, tonight was last straw! Our order was half an hour late which I can forgive due to these crazy times, the quality however was unforgivable, Singapore Chow Mein was like rubber, chips were dry and the beef in the beef curry was actually red! Goodbye China Chef.

Guy at counter has a calculator covered in grimey dirt as were the light switches. So I'd hate to see what it was like out back. I did mention cleaning these visible things as it didn't look good. Wonder if he has.

Had food the other night, food is dusgusting, wouldn't even feed it my dog! Found a couple of hairs in my curry... that's a turn off straight away 🤢 chips was also hard and cold!!

1 star is still too much of a rating! Customer service here is poor. The guy on the phone gets very high rate and argumentative. He hates to admit when he gets orders wrong, and instead gives the customer a load of abuse. He also likes to put the phone down on customers which is very rude. Would steer clear from this place unless you want to be spoken to like a piece of s***

We Orderd chicken chow main Friday night chicken did not taste like chicken and it was very dry and rubbery. Plus the noodles was very dry and with no taste. When we placed the order i mentioned my food was dry on my last order and could he tell the cook not to make it dry. We also had ribs and there was no meat on them and they were cremated . Will not be ordering from here again food was very pour standard

Always ask for a certain time and it's too early at least 40 mins early.. Was told not to go through just eat.. So didn't and was still early ... Food really nice when they get what you have adjusted correct

When you drive past and see the raw chicken in a box in their black corsa boot, which he dropped some on the rear bumper then just placed back in would box i would definitely be going else where 🤢

Decent food, not the best but not the worse I've had. Can't really go wrong with the curries and chow meins but they seem to struggle a bit with the more specialatie meals like the kung po's etc. Singapore chowmein is one of the best they do.

The worst Chinese I’ve ever had! Placed an order and was quoted 25 minutes. 3 different meals cooked and at my front door within 10 minutes. Stone cold! Called to complain and they just said they would send a warmer meal?? Will never use this takeaway again!

Placed a order and was told it would be 30 minutes, a hr later still no order so rang and was told it will be here in 5 minutes 25 minutes later it arrived. Asked the driver if it was busy to be told no not really so I said how come it's taken a hr and 25 min and he said I don't know. I know Saturdays are busy but if it's going to be a over a hr wait ato least say that

Best takeaway around Haleswowen

Literally the worst Chinese I have ever had! Chips were like cardboard, clearly reheated. I didn't even try the yuk sung because the smell indicated it was past it's sell by date. Ended up having a packet of crisps. Truly disgusting!

Always great food , but the curry can go from mild to hot ! But its great whatever you order , very polite staff , best in halesowen

Ordered takeaway though just eat and it took 1-45 minutes for delivery and I live ten minutes away when it finally arrived I complained to delivery driver and he didn't really care tried to phone on numerous occasions but just got engaged tone I suggest that if they what to satisfy there customers they install a second phone line but I'm sorry I won't be using them agsin

Poor food, even worse customer service. Food arrived cold and soggy. When we asked for the food to be replaced we were told not to order from them again. Dozens in the local area giving better service and food.

my order arrived 40 minutes late , the sweet and sour sauce had turned to jelly everything was cold , i complained but was fobbed off with a refund if i returned the food to the shop . after i payed for delivery !!!! . i was so annoyed i returned and claimed my refund . later i read the local newspaper to see they had been fined a substantial amount of money for being found guilty of being dirty and failing food hygiene ... will never use again ..

Brilliant, much better that over local chinese takeaways! The service was fast, the interior is lovely, and the food (especially the BBQ sauce) is amazing!
