China Box in Chorley

China Box is simply superb for Chinese takeaway. The dishes are consistently delicious, with a delightful authenticity that’s hard to come by. The beef and broccoli is particularly well done, with tender slices of beef and perfectly cooked broccoli, all in a rich, flavourful sauce. The vegetable lo mein is another highlight—full of fresh, crisp vegetables and beautifully cooked noodles. Portions are generous, so you certainly get your money's worth. The service is also first-rate; the staff are courteous and ensure everything arrives promptly and piping hot. Yes the prices went up cuz of covid but it's worth it and they try their best to keep it low which I kinda understand. The other Chinese places taste low quality. If you're after top-quality Chinese cuisine, GO TO CHINA BOX!

Menu a bit expensive. Probably the most expensive Chinese takeaway I've come across even after taking inflation into account in the last couple of years. £9.10 for Singapore vermicelli or £8.60 for Singapore fried rice. Singapore fried rice tasted alright, spicy with lots of different ingredients: prawns, onions, Char Siu, veg. Quick turnaround. Pay more attention when customers come in, would be good. Looking at the phone or a screen isn't a good look. They have a bell. Didn't they not hear. Not rushing to go back with those price tags.

I’ve used China Box for over 10 years and I must say tonight was probably the last time I do. Not sure if it’s changed hands recently, but set meal price had increased by over 10%, taste has disappeared and soup / spare rib portion sizes have shrunk. Service wasn’t the best tonight either.

Brilliant food but with staff changes poor service. It's been my go to Chinese for years but struggling with it now. I hope they sort things out.

07-09-23 Sadly and despite very much enjoying the meals we have had in the past, China Box's price hikes (And there have been several) have left ording again unjustifiable. It's a shame (see older reviews below) I was surprised to read such positive reviews so I decided to give this place a go and was not disappointed. The food was lovely and the portion size was generous. The family and I didn't find ourselves needing to drink large quantities of water after the meal due to an overdose of salt, which can't be said for some chinese takeaways in the area. We were over charged by a couple of quid and it took more than an hour for the food to arrive hence the 4 star review. We will be back. We've now had several meals from China Box and each and every time the quality has been fantastic. On the 21/12/19 we orded beef in black bean sauce, King prawns with broccoli, chicken with garlic and chilli and special fried rice. The chicken was tender the prawns were large and juicy and the beef was packed with flavour. Our order was correct and delivered quickly. Putting it simply this is the place to go for quality and quantity and a reasonable price. Please keep up the good work guys.

This is the best Chinese I have ever had. The staff are out of this world . The food is absolutely amazing and they are happy to accommodate our request and add extra dry chilly into our meal. We travelled all the way from Eccleston just for our special treat. Thank you to the lovely couple who owner and runs the place. This shop and this lovely couple deserve more than 5 stars 😘 xxx

Ordered takeaway noodles and spring rolls today. I'm surprised with the spring rolls, the crispy skin with mouthwater licking filling made it so delicious. It's the best homemade spring roll in the Northwest!

It use to be really nice but order it tonight soft noodles curry sauce and prawn crackers and OMG all Ive done its get really bad bellyache n being sick loads not order from here again

The prices hqve gone up but you get loads of food. Made to your specifications. We were too hungry and forgot to take pictures... lol

Always a good meal from here. Always fast delivery too and good prices. Only negative is spring rolls have shrunk in fillings but with how good everything else is, you overlook it

1st time here, was superb. Curry sauce is lovely, everything so much flavour. Would go again definatley.

Chicken chow mein tasted and smelt mostly of fish, big tip calm down with the fish sauce buddy.

Not sure why this place has so many great reviews. Ordered two mains and two sides. Honey BBQ ribs were bone dry. Char siu pork fried rice, pork was dry - looked like it had been sitting outside for a few days. Dry rice. Stodgy noodles. 2 Stars because staff were friendly.

Foods good the set meals are good value.

Just had the worse takeaway ever. The chicken was insipid and plastic tasting and the beef was all very very chewy. the mushrooms pale and not cooked enough. The salt and pepper chips were bland and I would say frozen chips. Rang up 1st to complain no refund was offered as they said I had eaten it which I told them that most of it is in the bin apart from some of the rice.Nearly £20 wasted. I feel very queasy at the moment. Customer service needs attention. Nobody in at tea time on a Friday which should have been a warning.Chippy next door busier Extremely disappointed.

China Box is, without a doubt, the best Chinese within a 40 mile radius. Portion sizes are always generous and fresh. The crispy chilli beef is delicious. The lady who takes our order over the phone is most polite and accommodating. We are delighted China Box deliver despite our being a little out of the way. We are always happy to wait as the food is most definitely worth waiting for. All the best for 2022! May you continue to prosper!

One of best Chinese’s in Chorley. Food was delicious and warm. Tasted very fresh. Salt and pepper chips were the nicest I’ve tasted and prawn crackers were gorgeous. 10/10 reccomend

Best Chinese food ever! and the best prices, you get plenty and it's ready quickly, buisy at weekends and can deliver. Don't be put off by the location in Clayton Brook Village, there is ample parking as the pub has gone and it's now quiet. No other takeaway matches this quality.

From order to delivery 15 mins... chips cold... BOILED rice was cold and like rubber... meal had more veg than meat... absolutely terrible... on the plus side the prawn crackers were good though
