Made to pay the 10% ‘discretionary’ charge. When challenged got a shrug of the shoulders and told to pay it. Run out of onion bhajis, run out of beer all together and the garlic in the garlic rice was very chewy. Pretty Average!

Nice place, bloke was inviting and we scranned the set meal for a tenner. Food was a bit dead i cant lie , but tbf i was happy to munch anything. Been paying the price for that decision this morning however as the bog has been deleted a few times

Poor food, very quiet restaurant and weird music played. Place was empty. The chicken korma was bland - didn't know that was possible. A no from me!

The best restaurant for an evening meal! Very warm welcome while I was in an emergency with my own food couldn't find a place to eat, they was an answer to my prayer, as each other restaurant, they don't take you in if you have food from other place, even you say you want a cup o tea. But, thanks God, there is a place like that! Best for customer service! Feeling relaxed and comfortable, feeling confident in a nice Indian atmosphere! And the arome of a special Indian tea, I recommend and cannot wait to be back! Anca, London

After such a long lockdown period, finally got the courage to make a visit to chilli shaker in King’s Cross with few of my good friends. It felt safe enough and enjoyed amazing Indian dishes prepared by Chilli shaker restaurant. My favourites, Mixed platter as starter, Chicken Jalfrezi 👌🏼or Chicken garlic chilli masala. We were six of us and everyone enjoyed except one of us tried to be brave and ordered their hottest curry:)) didn’t end up well.. overall really great experience. Will recommend to anyone who loves Indian curry.

Best local Indian around the kings cross area by far. The lamb biryani is to dye for, the chicken curry is the best I've ever had and don't even go there with the lentil soup and onion bhajis... seriously you will not find a better Indian restaurant anywhere near here. The meat samosas are better than you know what!! I swear down.

Met a friend here tonight. I live in Cornwall and do not really know London but very much enjoyed the experience. I requested a special dish and the food was excellent along with very tentative service. Very clean, reasonably priced for a city and service very good from manager Manzu.

Only restaurant open on Christmas Day, so we went in and as Indians we have super high expectations of food and they really catered to us with great service and great food. The garlic chili chicken was great and the lamb chops had an awesome marinade! Truly a surprise experience with great food! Will be back next trip!

Such a great location to have a restaurant but, alas, what a waste of trip it was. Food was barely edible. It all tasted like supermarket readymade food, which has been microwaved and served to us. Paratha was rubbery. Curry with biryani was stale. Biryani itself was tasted like it had been cooked few days back. I wouldn't recommend it

Visited on a Friday evening. One of our party uses a wheelchair and from the second we opened the door the service was amazing. So thoughtful and kind. Food was amazing too. An ideal pitstop if youre off frolicing to The Scala as my party were. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thankyou very much

Having worked in King's Cross for more years than I care to remember, I am always interested to see how much it has changed since I left. With the renovation of both King's Cross and St Pancras stations, the area has acquired a whole load of new restaurants. One I didn't know about is the Chilli Shaker Indian restaurant on Gray's Inn Road, just around the corner from the mainline and the Underground stations. It looks small from the outside but the interior is quite expansive and it is well furnished, nice and fresh looking and has linen table cloths! I was there for a quick lunch before going on to another appointment, so I tried their excellent vegetarian buffet with a great choice of freshly made dishes resting in large chafing dishes. I lost count of the number of dishes on the buffet table - at least a dozen, I think. I enjoyed the fine selection of Sag aloo, spinach with potatoes, Bindi bhaji or okra or ladies fingers, Spinach bhajis, Aloo gobi with potato and cauliflower, and many others plus nan bread and Pilau basmati rice. You can help yourself to however much you like, so it's tempting to go back for more, because it is all so delicious and, despite the name, not overpoweringly chilli hot. There is dessert as well, a luscious milk pudding of vermicelli and cream or a cool refreshing yoghurt. And all for just £6.95, with a reduction to £5 for children under eight, and if they are under three then it's free! I would highly recommend Chilli Shaker and will return just as soon as I can.

We met friends here last night, travelling through London ,and looking for somewhere reasonably priced to eat.We are not experienced "Indian-food" eaters, but were agreeably surprised at how good this place was. We all had varieties of curries and all professed ourselves very satisfied. The place itself was unpretentious but quiet and clean...the staff friendly and attentive. In short, we would definitely return when next in the area. Thank you!

Ate here even though its least reviews out of the 3 indians close proximity. Was impressed. The madras was very good and service was good and polite. The lamb was a little too chewy and small pieces but overall a good place to eat. Thanks

The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. It looked fairly inexpensive, but as you add rice and naan to your curry, it starts to add up. Overall very good
