Probably the worst pizza we have ever had. Chicken tikka pizza inedible, pepperoni almost as bad but with a burnt base. Chips hard like chewing on cardboard, disappointing to say the least!

Wow this place was brilliant especially a kind tall Asian lad made me feel welcomed The pizza was amazing didn’t have to wait that long

From waiting over an hour past the estimated time to burned calzone tonight. Absolutely terrible place.

Delicious 4 cheese pizza, definitely the best in skipton! Not stodgy like other places and great value. Great service by the 3 people working 24.12.22

Had mixed experiences in the past here (wrong orders etc, but decent when they get it right). Ordered Chicken and pepperoni, which I got, but also got a load of green peppers, which I didn't order and ruined the flavour of the pizza. Fail!

We bought a pizza and some ribs. We went to eat them in the park nearby. The ribs tray was hot, and the ribs were cold. there was an awful stench coming out of the tray. at first i thought it was cheese, it was covered white spores. needless to say, there was no date on the ribs lid. we took the ribs back and he gave me a refund. I said if we had eaten these, they would have killed us for sure. we ate the pizza and was up all night. my girlfriend was ill for three days. this was reported to craven council. take your life into your own hands . never again.

Ordered 2 pizza for delivery 1 & 1/2 hrs later to be told that my food has been delivered to a different location???? If I would like to order again I would have to collect Fantastic service Never use this place again

Terrible . So Disappointed . The pizza looked like it had been thrown on the floor. Asked for vegetarian no pineapple No olives… got Home To find loads of pineapple. My boyfriend got a donner pizza and was Ill all night . Such a shame. Used to be fantastic

First time here and very impressed. Quality is good, amazing value and really tasty. Not sure why we haven’t been here before.

Can't get a good pizza for love or money where i moved too so had to pay visit while back in Skipton. Calzone and Firenze absolutely spot on nicely cooked and just how i remember 👍. Maybe they have new staff now who are friendly unlike the staff in other reviews 🤷‍♂️

I have been going to Chicos since I was young (I am in my 40s)and have never been disappointed. My daughter now has a pizza and chips once a week and she thoroughly enjoys them. The pizzas are freshly made. The owners are always very friendly and have always been lovely to my daughter. The prices are so cheap, it isn’t worth buying a pizza and cooking it compared to their prices. We order early on and it is always 15 minutes from ordering which is amazing. We always collect our pizza in person so I don’t know about the delivery experience. The pizzas are delicious.

Reasonably priced, lovely freshly made pizzas. Chicos is a Skipton institution and gem. Myself and my family have been going there for many years for a cheeky take away after a night out or just for a good pizza. It is excellent value and has never felt especially unhealthy as a take out option (you can watch as the pizzas are made) I like that this Skipton institution has stayed the same for the 10+ years I've been going there and hope it continues. I'd recommend the meat calzone!

On more than one occasion this takeaway lied about delivery time and when phoned to enquire about the expected delivery they were dishonest and rude. Would not recommend and will never be ordering again

Just been for pizzas been going since it opened. Couple of times it’s been bad however this was vile. 3 pizzas burnt massively and completely wrong. 3 pizzas do not get sent out all wrong and burnt by accident. One looking like it had pre cooked black burnt onions all over it. We’ve had wrong pizzas before however this is careless and frankly they’re obviously not bothered. What’s gone wrong because it was probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had from anywhere, and it will definitely be the last from here.

Staff are really ignorant. Provided with wrong takeaway order, when I called for the correct pizza requirement to be delivered the operative said "you'll either get it or you won't " . This was a £40 order. They are disgusting and ignorant people. Don't touch them.

I ordered a box of Donna meat this week. Very. Unhappy. Stood there for 35min for 1 box of plain Donna meat when I eventually got it after having to ask if it was nearly ready as any other takeaway in skipton would have it ready in 5min.I opened my box and saw a few strips of obviously microwaved Donna meat over done hard dry and literally swimming in grease and fat (see picture) there was more grease than food.I would like some sort of compensation via a voucher or a refund. There is no way of contacting them via email or social media and can't be venturing out all the time due to my limited walking capabilities. This is the second time using chicos and looking like it will be my last.

Spent a weekend passing through Skipton; stayed in the Travelodge. Wanted something easy to eat in the evening in the hotel room. Found this place on-line; it had reasonable reviews so thought we might as well. My husband went to collect the order as they only deliver by taxi. Fair enough. It was ready within 20 minutes of phoning the order in, which was just after 5.15 on a Saturday evening.He said that he parked outside easily enough, that the staff in the takeway were very pleasent, and you could see everything as they prepared your order; even them making the dough bases. He said they seemed calm and officiant - my husband is very analytical and has very high standards. He was impressed. We ordered two pizzas and fries; they were delicious. Decent size, lovely light dough, well topped and cooked. Also a very decent size portion of crispy fries. We don't write reviews generally. Something has to be outstandingly good or bad for us to do so; this was exceptionally good as takeway pizzas go, hence writing the review.I also have to add; AMAZING VALUE! We couldn't believe how little it cost!

Used to be good, has gone downhill. Really slow service, massively over estimate the time in which they can get pizzas ready and by the time chips already, pizzas have gone cold!

Ordered my food by phone and was told it would be ready in 40 minutes. Knowing they underestimate the time by around 10 minutes (from past experience), I turned up 50 minutes after my call, expecting my food to be ready for me. Got my food (term used loosely) 70 minutes plus after my call. Bad attitude off the staff and they kept blaming a faulty oven. One of my pizzas (Deepan) was cooked 10 minutes earlier than the other one (thin base). Go figure. Staff looked clearly confused by the many orders (why would you keep taking orders, with a faulty oven?). They were telling everyone who called, that there was a 30 minutes waiting time (more lies). Too many orders and incompetent staff. My pizza was not cooked enough and sloppy (too many onions). You'd think with Domino's opening recently in Skipton, they would up their game. I like to support local businesses, but on this performance, I'll take my business else where. This place has gone down hill. Get competent, polite staff and tell people the truth about timings and when you have forgot to cook one of their pizzas (clearly what happened, with one of our pizzas cooking well before the other). Chimpanzees could do a better job.

Really tasty deep pan Barbeque pizza. Great quality and great value for money. Love their fries, tasty and crisp.

Used to be great but the standards have slipped dramatically!! Pizza was under cooked,sloppy,lacking in toppings and un edible !! The delinquent staff were messing about throwing food around ..sorry but steer clear of this one

Ordered a Takeaway to be delivered by Taxi it came later than stated, burnt, cold and wrong, rang them to sort out the proper order and they just sent another Taxi with chips! Completely useless do yourself a favour and don’t bother with this place.

A good alternative to standard/chain takeways for a lazy night. The food is good and great value but the one let down is that service can be incredibly slow. Add at least 10-15 minutes wait onto the time they quote when ordering.

Phone ordered 5 pizzas and 5 chips, told 25 mins. Arrived on time, nothing ready. Within 10 mins 3 pizzas and 5 chips ready and on top of oven. It now takes another 25 mins to provide the next 2 pizzas, one of which is given the wrong topping. Unbelievable incompetence by front counter staff, who simply don’t give a sh!t. Such a shame as food is great.

Called after popping in to town orded a meat feast and wished I had checked it before going home. Opened at home to find about 6 pieces of very thin meat on it, no taste of meat at all when eating a slice, even my dog refused a second slice. I have previously had lots of good food from here but now totally put off

Asked when my food would be ready, and it was ready 15 minutes later than the stated time. Even though I ordered my food in the place and I saw my order written down, they forgot to cook my onion rings and fries. Had to wait longer for these to be cooked. Staff aren't very clued up. Woman in front ordered 2 garlic mushroom pizzas, and got 2 portions of garlic mushrooms. That all said, nice food and good value.

We've recently moved to Skipton and fancied a pizza night with the kids. I nearly didn't order from here because of reading a comment about burnt pizzas. Well we decided to give it a go anyway, thank goodness we did. Gorgeous food and excellent value...We will be back again and again...

Great pizza and great chips, happy with the service. They have a good variety of veggie options and they taste great. Will go again.

By far the best pizza place in Skipton. It is also the cheapest which is a bonus. The calzone is amazing and the pizzas don't take much time at all to be made and prepared. Best pizzas ever had for the best prices.

Voy a Chico a menudo y 9 / 10 la comida es realmente excelente. Ocasionalmente, puede encontrar que fuese un poco frío o menos sabrosa de lo habitual, pero esto es raro. Las pizzas son muy delgadas, son deliciosos, pero si prefiere una pizza más gruesos que quieras ir a otro lado. El personal siempre fue muy amable. Si pudiera hacer una recomendación sería ofrecer la entrega!

I hadn't been to Chicos for years and then tried it again, was disappointed is left it so long. Beautiful thin and crispy pizzas. Pollo fungi is my face!

Best takeaway in Skipton hands down. Won't find better takeaway. Cheap all pizzas made by hand and are gorgeous

Bueno, realmente para llevar sus fichas. Mi compañero tenía un kebab desde aquí también y fue la mejor que me gustaría probado en mucho tiempo. Me gusta la base de pizza más auténtico que aquí se ofrecen. También un precio razonable

Pedí un calzone y consistía de masa painly apenas cualquier abundante fue una pérdida y basura. Siempre ha sido un cliente pero me decepcionó. También estaba fría cuando recogí a la hora exacta indicada.

Arriba, siempre llevar ocupado así primer ring. Buenas pizzas a un precio totalmente de ganga. Hechos a la orden. Utilizada por años ahora. Es una pena que no valen. Me encanta.

Having used Chico's pre and post fire, for the last 15 years, I continue to rate them, as the best Pizza House in Skipton.

freshly made pizzas,large variety of flavours,opted for the chicos special,great choice,we have to call in if we are in the area,its been a favourite of ours for years,yum,yum,yum.

Fabulous pizza and the best in Skipton, light base with great topping but I always order double topping because it's so good.The spicy pizza really knocks your socks off powerful and good.Never varies always good.Ring the order in and give them 20 to 30 min to be cooked.

This pizza takeaway was closed for a while due to a fire. It has now re-opened and it was good to once again experience the authentic pizzas prepared by an Italian.The owner is friendly and with the open kitchen you can watch your pizza being prepared.

Pleased to see that Chicos is back with its great hand made pizza and Italian dishes. Cheaper than the supermarket

Forget the rest, this is definitely the best Pizza takeaway in Skipton. The value is so good you will struggle to get a cheaper chilled Pizza in Tesco which you will also have to cook yourself !!! I've never had any problems at this place and I've used it maybe 300+ times over the last 10 years. The staff are always friendly and the deep pan pizzas are particularly good. You may have noticed that the negative reviews on here mostly relate to long waits (1 hour +) What do you expect on a Friday or Saturday night. This place is so popular you can expect delays on those nights, simply because half of Skipton residents go there. It's honestly that good !

Chico's makes wonderful pizzas by the hands of the Italian owner. The price is good and the premises are clean. Both the owner and staff are pleasant and interactive.Apart from the taste, I like being able to watch my pizza being prepared and cooked in the open kitchen behind the serving counter.Chico's was closed for a while due to a fire but has recently re-opened after being repaired. As this take-away is very popular it is worth phoning ahead with your order.

Ordered at the takeaway at 5.30, was not told of the waiting time, ignored by staff, finally asked where our order was, they had messed up. We finally got it at 7.00, only to find they gave us the wrong order, went back to swap, and still ended up with a pizza that didn't have all the toppings stated. Pic of pizza is meat feast... Cold, and no where near worth all the hassle, below average pizzas. Rude staff, no organisation, people phoning for orders after us, came and went while we waited, it was only two pizzas! Absolute joke. Will not be going here again

The pizzas from here are to dye for, you can watch all food being prepared with passion. I really can't fault the food or the service here you won't be disappointed

Ordered my food and I was told it would be ready in 20 - 25 minutes.I went down to collect my order 30 minutes after I phoned and was told it would be another 10 minutes, as they were busy. Just over an hour after I had phoned, my food arrived. The chips were undercooked and half the pizza had topping on and half hardly had any on (Clearly topped in a rush). Whilst I was waiting, a big order of 6 pizzas and 4 Calzones was given to a taxi driver to deliver. This order clearly had preference. The lad on the phone must have told around 6 callers, that the wait would be 20 - 25 mins, whilst I was there (clearly a lie). 1 hour to make a pizza and fries! The place was packed, with glum faced people, wasting their Friday night here, wondering if their food would ever turn up.I have had mixed experiences here in the past - Wrong orders, pizza left going cold whilst they started cooking the fries. Though on the odd occassion it has been good at times. Been stung one too many times and I will not be going back.Overall, the food is average and the staff are slow and lethargic (apart from the one guy making all the pizzas).

2 Take away pizzas tonight..and they deliver. Freshly cooked, great flavour and under £4! Can't go wrong, well done Chicos!

I am a born and bred Skiptoner and I hope my fellow townfolk value this establishment as much as they should. Even though I live in Kent nowadays I always pop to Chico's when I am back here. Quality pizza at top value and have never had a bad one. You won't get as good value at many other places. Highly recommended

Best pizza in the country - great chefs that make it to order. I always have margarita because I don't want to ruin the amazing taste!What's more is the price is unbeatable!

When this place is good, it's good. Don't get me wrong. It's pot luck. The two main problems here are burnt pizza and incorrect order!!Pizza tends to be over cooked when you order things that take different times to cook. i.e. calzone cooks for longer but they don't take out your regular pizza until they are both ready. Secondly, if by some fluke they don't burn your pizza, then they tend to forget your extra pepperoni or to take out the mushrooms you didn't want in the calzone. The last time I had pizza from here, it took nearly 1 hr to come and when it did, it was in a taxi with passengers. Had my pizza been riding round all night? Also it was burnt AND incorrect. I rang them straight back to complain and the guy on the phone just said "what do you want me to do about it"We will not be eating from here again in a hurry !!

I've been going to Chicos for over 20 years now. I used to think that they were the best pizza's i've ever had... the standards have NOT slipped, but I have travelled more and eaten what I feel are actually the best pizzas in the world and Chico's are not as good as I first thought. But, they are tasty, they are absolutely amazing value for money (a margarita is only £3!) and you do get a lot of food for a small amount. So if I could have given it 3.5, i would, but I didn't quite feel like it deserved a 4, so I had to put 3/5.
