Chicken & Ribs in Exeter

In my entire life I never experienced such poor service: Let me explain myself: We just arrived to Exeter today and was looking forward to spending a nice evening with my Son before leaving him to start University! Instead it was the worse evening and experience in a restaurant in a renowned hotel in my entire life! First not even a “Hi” or “Good evening”! Then we went to the restaurant and asked for a table for two, both the Barman and the waiter just looked lost, after waiting for more than 10 min, and been asked 4 times for our details !!! Finally were invited inside the restaurant and to my surprise was empty! We chose a table ourselves, sat down finally, but only to wait again for another 15 min without been asked if we wanted a drink, nor given the menu!!!! I’m 45 years old, I traveled in many places and different countries, from a hospitality and real estate background but this evening i was only expecting a nice diner in a supposed nice Hotel with my Son, a historic moment as last evening together before I leave him behind , instead it was ruined by an unexpectedly awful and Mood ruining experience which I will never forget.

Extremely rude staff. Shame as museum is a great experience, these people let it down.

Don’t bother. Absolutely rubbish food. Never going back. Expensive meal for what you get. Hardly any chicken. Dirty toilets. Dirty tables. Staff didn’t care.

Bought beef with vegetables. Taste and quality of food are excellent but the quantity of beef was negligible in the plate with two thin tiny slices. My request for at least giving me some reasonable portion was declined straight away.

Don't order a burger from here, I don't know what they do to them but they are disgusting
