Chick 'n' Sours in Camden

This has been the 4th time we have been to this restaurant and we are definitely coming back! The food here is delicious, my bf said it has been a long time since he’s been to a restaurant where he thought everything was amazing and delicious! We preordered the Whole Fry’s chicken for our date and asked for the K-town glazing and beef fries and bang bang cucumbers sides. Eveything was absolutely superb, the perfect mix of flavours. The whole chicken was enough for both of us and there was still some left, and my bf eats a lot 🤪. We also ordered the Seoul Destroyer burger, it was so tender and flavourful, we loved it! Special thanks to bartenders, one of whom I believe is called David, for great cocktails, friendly service and help on the drinks recommendation. Everything was great, and we will be coming back for the delicious food! The only unfortunate thing that I have noticed is that every time we come back, the prices for some of the food, especially chicken wings, keep rising with every visit :( Would love to see this place continue being affordable while serving delicious food!

Realised this morning that i had been coming here for years and had never left a review. For me this is the best fried chicken in London. I have taken my son here, my friends here, they have taken their friends. It has never been beaten. My dad said find one thing to do and do it better than anyone else. That is what they have done here, found the best way to do fried chicken, you can taste the thought and effort. Brilliant. Music's not bad either.

Really cool place, really nice decor and the staff were really friendly and attentive! Didn't feel rushed but service was quick and efficient. Food was really good and tasty! Went just as the opened so was pretty quiet, may need to book later on in the day, right need Covent Garden. 😊

We chose this as a dinner spot for the break between the two Harry Potter performances. It is really convenient for the Palace Theatre. There are a few tables for 2 outside but the main tables are downstairs in a well air conditioned room. It isn't a huge restaurant and yes you are relatively close to one another but it isn't unpleasantly packed. Everyone including the other guests were very positive and up beat. The chicken was excellent. I had the General Burger and my daughter had the Buffalo Soldier. I would absolutely go again!

The man working today at 5.15pm was incredibly rude, we walked out due to his attitude.

Been here twice - always pre booked a whole fried chicken - crispy, juicy, saucy - everything I want for a Friday night with friends! The staff are friendly and funny :). Only feedback is that the music was a bit loud - otherwise always a beautiful night!

Really good chicken sandwiches, friendly and fast service. They played great music and have a Spotify playlist they can share 👍 Only downside is the price - 1 chicken sandwich is £14 and the cocktails are very small for £9.50. I would go back !

Me and my partner returned to Chick n sours soho a year later as that’s where we had our first date and it was just as exceptional as the first! We enjoyed every dish we ordered, old and new! I didn’t get our waiters name but he was so lovely and even gave us a discount as it was our anniversary, that was a lovely surprise and so appreciated. We will be back soon and not keep it a year this time!

Everything is beautiful, to be honest. It's worth a visit for chicken burger lovers

Lovely staff, very friendly, burger was unreal - as was the cucumber salad. The Korean wings were amazing however we weren’t a fan of the kung poa ones they really lacked flavour. The popcorn chicken was so salty too. We were told they didn’t have their ‘sours’ cocktails just the ones on the board. We had a watermelon martini and spicy pineapple sours. watermelon martini was 10/10, the pineapple sours was so bitter and not very tasty.

I tried this place about a year ago and loved it, so I was excited about going again with my husband so he could try it. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has gone downhill. The restaurant had also run out of all of the sours they regularly offer when we went, which was highly unfortunate. Cute atmosphere, okay service, but food was meh.

Food was good, tasty, the chicken toast was amazing. It was Sunday night so a bit quiet but the food and service were both good. We had a lot of food and multiple cocktails each so perhaps why it was aprox 45 each

I visit this place in June on the back of a recommendation. Trust me this place didn't disappoint! The Korean wings were a 10/10. The burger was good but wouldn't compare it to Coqfighter or burger & beyond. It is slightly expensive as my Bill came to £30 for wings, burger and a drink but the place has a good vibe and staff were great.

So the wings were great and nice cocktails BUT the normal fried chicken was soggy and pretty meh, was much nicer when i went a few years ago to the one in north london. Also tables being used to clean cutlery and store things kinda ruined the vibe in the very bright room.

Great fried coating on the chicken. Simple menu. Like most places, they serve half wings as "wings". So, if you order 9 wings, you get 4.5. Also, I was surprised that they did not offer pieces of chicken. It was burgers or tenders only! Weird for a chicken place. It was expensive, but quality chicken is not cheap. I would go back if in the area.

My son booked for us to meet up here, otherwise I would never have chosen to go in but he knows good places to eat so I knew it would be good. From the street it doesn't look much and has a limited menu. Which is a good sign, that means it's most likely to be fresh and home made and it was . Variations of chicken and vegan friendly substitute. Really tasty great salad/ slaw and fries. We also had a couple of cocktails also excellent and good value. Nice atmosphere and friendly helpful staff.

Great burger (was lucky to try it for free): had The General. Just the right balance between flavors, with the mayo sauce, cheese, pickled onions, crispy and juicy chicken. A classic which hit the spot.

We enjoyed a mid-week late lunch here and we're pleasantly surprised by some of the unusual dishes. The vegan "chicken" burgers were good. But two side dishes were excellent: the deep-fried aubergine in a spicy, sweet (honey?) sauce; also baby cucumbers in a sweet peanut sauce. Not healthy, but very yummy! Service was very attentive. We'll be back sooner rather than later!

Quite liked the vibe and service, although sat near very demanding/ loud people which meant I wasn't a priority during my visit. So much food came that I needed a doggy bag to take back to the hotel. Would consider eating here again.

This is a good fried chicken restaurant but I do believe there are better in London. The staff are friendly but a little inattentive. However, if you’re in the area and need a quick but pleasant meal, this would be a good option.

A great place for chicken in many of its forms, but the watermelon salad actually stole the show: a very interesting and tasty combination, it's a must-order when eating there! Also the service was very good!

Went here with my partner for my birthday and we were served by an amazing server called Alex he made sure we were welcome from the moment we walked in. From recommendations to explanations on the food and overall fantastic customer service! Cannot have asked for such great service and food - must go!

Took my sister here for her birthday, everything was just so on point. Food was awesome, waiting times were reasonable, music was great, and the staff were so sweet. Location is also good, a very short walk from Covent Garden Station and all the local theatres, you can really plan a nice evening out by coming here for dinner then seeing a show nearby (as we did).

Considering I had a very mediocre first experience this time was leagues better.

Chick ‘N’ Collaborations are the BEST! There’s a lot of love in the room at Chick’N’Sours that I wanted to come back for not just one, but two of their recent collaborations. The Sambal Shiok burger was a cheeky drop the mic collab to start the year, with Mandy’s legendary Malay satay flavory. Featuring chicken breaded with satay spices, tomato Sambal, lime slaw to slam in some zing, before finishing with their classic peanut satay sauce. What a dream team and one I couldn’t resist complimenting with Chick’N’Sours famous chicken toast in tamarind chilli caramel and green slaw, that you can get all year at Covent Garden. Next up we had a night with Hash Hut. A really fun menu of hash potato winking with fond adoration towards chicken dressed up in crunchy bling, creatively coming together on our table. I feel flustered just thinking about it again! ‘Snacks’ which were very generous, included the likes of popcorn style bites of hash browns and fried chicken, with noodle crack and sriracha sour cream, hash rounds with chicken ragu and kimchi (a personal favourite) and stuffed chicken wings that looked like they could arm wrestle you. All delicious, before the drum roll sounded and hash stacks with sides landed on our table like a mythical city of gold. Gochujang slaw, Kung pao tenders, chilli and pickles were laid on stacks of hash browns, broken up with pickled watermelon and bang bang cucumbers. You couldn’t get a more imaginative serving, but with soft serve dessert, hash brown churros and miso caramel, the guys gave us an achingly good bigger smile. There was fab energy on the night with David and his lovely team at Chick’N’Sours being like sizzling chicken in the fryer to team up with wicked people making incredible food that don’t often get the recognition they deserve. It’s that kind of heart that reminds you why some places are a bucket of Hospitality you keep coming back to. Thanks guys!

Went to the Soho branch yesterday for my birthday and couldn't have asked for a better experience - chicken was great, service was great and the Pisco sours were the best I've ever had.

As someone who has a massive sweet tooth but isnt super keen on alcohol, I was unsure how the cocktails would sit with me. After asking the waitress she recommended me the Chick N Club and I was not disappointed. Super sweet, sour and smooth the whole way down. As for food, I ordered the special, Hot Honey Chicken Hot Cross Bun, which was literally 2 tenders in a hot cross bun drizzled with spiced honey. A really silly gimmick, but a tasty gimmick that I had to order a second of. The staff were by far the best part of the place though. Everyone was incredibly nice and friendly and were so great to have a laugh with. If Im in the area again, I'll definitely be revisiting.

I had been meaning to visit Chick ‘n’ Sours for the e longest time. I remember following the career of chef Carl Clarke, because to this date, his pop up burger joint back in 2013 and his magical creation, ‘Disco Burger’ remains the best burger I’ve ever had in my life! Suffice to say his chicken burger did not disappoint either! I don’t know what happened to chef Carl and whether he’d ever bring back disco burger in any of this restaurants, but I’m glad I got to taste this lovely burger at last! I got the soul destroyer burger and my partner got the buffalo soldier. They were both fantastic. I much preferred mine, as I found the buffalo soldier a tad too acidic. But I absolutely devoured the thing and enjoyed every bit of the mess that was created trying to hold it all together! Scooped up the remaining sauce from the plate with my side of chips, like a barbarian and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Thanks so much for the delicious food.

Such a wonderful little restaurant! Came in here on Easter Sunday while spending the day in London and we were blown away by this hidden gem. I had the K-Pop chicken sandwich and my friend had wings, both of us were delighted with our meals. Staff are very lovely and the restaurant has a great vibe to it. Would definitely recommend and will be returning to on a our next London trip. Very affordable for two students we were over the moon with our visit. 10/10

Second time I've been here and unfortunately this time I came it just was not up to par. I ordered a kpop burger and the chicken was just to dry. The venue is very small so you are bashing your seat against the person behind you. We had some starters and the waiter whose name was Alex I believe took our knives, forks and tissues but never replenished them so when the burger did come we were waiting to get his attention and by that point the burgers were getting cold. The plates they serve the burgers on are very very small, suggest using bigger plates as the burgers can be very messy. I probably would not come back here again. Before I got there I was raving at how nice it is and the flavours are great but I feel it has dropped in both flavour, food and service over the years. What a shame.

On arrival we had to wait 10 minutes for our booked table but other than this everything was amazing. Service was super fast, which was an added bonus as we had a show to go to in less than an hour upon being seated. Our waiter Punya was welcoming, chatty and easy going. The food was out of this world and we only wish we had more time there.

Great flavours on the wings but the huge amount of coleslaw let the burger down. It made the bun so soggy and just dripped after each bite.

Honestly, my favourite fried chicken spot in town. I came here after seeing these guys being mentioned at lot on SORTED’s YouTube channel and it did not disappoint. A chicken based menu fused with Asian flavours making an exciting experience for those who dine in. I was hesitant about their nachos, because they’re nachos… they can only be so good right? Wrong. They were full of texture, savoury, spicy and tangy from the kimchi and jalapeño but rich from the cheese and super savoury from the minced chicken. The chicken toast… damn. This is seemingly only available at this branch so make sure to get it. A spin on the Chinese takeaway classic that we all know and love, crunchy, light, savoury, extremely moreish. The K Pop is a bit of a mess to eat, you will need to wash your hands after but that’s okay. It’s worth the mess. Heaps of picked slaw (maybe avoid if you don’t eat coriander), crispy chicken thigh, sauce sandwiched between a bun makes for a texturally exciting bite, full of juicy umami chicken. If you come here for a burger, this is the one (IF YOU EAT CORIANDER/CILANTRO). The house fry, the house fry for me was a true test to see how good these guys are. Again, seemingly only available at this location (what is up with that?) - This fried chicken, has been consistently good. Light and crispy skin, not saturated with oil, seasoned well with what I can only assume is crack. Paired with a refreshing watermelon salad which just WORKS. This sealed the deal for me as my favourite fried chicken spot in London. Their consistency is up there with Jolibee which if you know, it’s very high praise. Service has always been good when I’ve been, very casual and laid back - they’ve been able to split the bill multiple ways which I know some places make a fuss about. They’ve also been able to seat large groups of us at last minute. My only comment has nothing to do with their food or service but the state of their toilets, there always seems to be some odd stagnant water smell near the sink? This also applies to their other branch which really confused me.
