Absolutely wonderful experience dining at Chez Layla tonight. The food came out sizzling hot and fresh and was a real authentic taste of Morocco. Honestly couldn't fault a thing. The bread was warm and fluffy and the chicken tagine was absolutely delicious. The Harira has got to be the best I've had outside of Morocco. Layla made our evening so lovely. She was so accommodating and friendly. I would definitely recommend and will be back soon.

Lovely morrocan restaurant just off blackfriar Street. Fantastic selection and everything tasted home-made. Highly recommend the chicken and lamb tagine, as well as all their starters, you can't go wrong! I'll be back soon

Best Moroccan restaurant and Cafe in Manchester. Came from out of town. Was recommended by a friend of mine. This place has a Moroccan feel just like Morocco. Chef Layla who is the owner and the other workers makes all the customers feel like home. This place has a very homely feel. Definitely recommended. Definitely will be returning.

Myself and my friend have just come home from Chez Layla. The food and service were both incredible. We had tagine, dips, bread and soup and the Moroccan mint tea and biscuits. We are absolutely stuffed and had a fantastic evening. We were looked after so well, and it was lovely to speak French with the staff there too. We will definitely be back! It was quiet this evening, we were the only ones in the restaurant and I really hope it stays busy here, they deserve it! Merci beaucoup Chez Layla

Amazing food, like no other place

Walked passed Chez Layla a few times and finally got a chance to try it out tonight - will definitely be back! The mother-daughter duo, Layla and Kay's, warm hospitality made us feel like we were welcomed to a generous living room. They shared with us a scrumptious home-cooked meal - my highlights being the harira soup lamb tagine and freshly baked Morrocan bread (so crispy on the outside and fluffly in the inside!). Our table (and other customers as well) all left with big smiles on our faces. Looking forward to our next visit!

The Moroccan food was superb you can imagine yourself that you traveled to Morocco and back without leaving your place tasting from all the lovely dishes. Thank you for the fantastic service. The tajine was amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful, the owner is friendly and you feel like at home, highly recommended.

Leila is very kind and welcoming The place is very cozy And the food/bread/tea was amazing, I ordered fish balls tajin 😋 Definitely recommend it.

The food was okay,( price and quality does not match) , The real problem is the owner charged us for stuff we didn’t even order, rather she gave us out of “hospitality” (so we thought). The bill was over 60+£ for 2 people (over 30£ each) which did not match the quality or the atmosphere of the place. I’d say there are better Moroccan restaurants out there with more reasonable prices and better quality food and I’d recommend you avoid this one.
