Zoe was amazing at our visit today, welcoming from the minute we walked in, she was very polite professional and quick at the bar

Came to eat wanted somewhere relaxed and comfy after a long day of celebrations for daughters a level results Didnt book waited 35min for food but we ate all together and felt very content on leaving Thank you to zoe always welcoming us with a smile

First visit to the Chestnut Tree today and it won’t be the last. Food was delicious and the service was excellent even to the point of bringing a bowl of water for our dog. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

I loved this place! The food is delicious I was served by a lovely person called Zoe, my daughter is autistic and she had the cheeseburger, she doesn’t like food cooked on a griddle and so she asked the cook to cook it on a baking tray, Zoe is very nice helpful and we enjoyed it

Don't really write reviews normally but feel I have to give a special shout out to the chestnuttree for today came in for a bite to eat and a drink after a long day I had a carvary what was I got to say the best carvary I have ever had everything was delicious defo favourite was the massive Yorkshire pudding all the meats were tender didn't even need a knife to cut through them it literally was that tender customer service from the bar staff was amazing well done tilly excellent customer service also would like to thank zoe for making us feel so welcome today have not been to the chestnuttree for a while but after today we will be back soon everything was perfect thank you to you all keep up all the amazing work your all doing food perfect atmosphere perfect carvary the best see you all soon

If I could give a 10 I would. came today for some food and a drink after a long day shopping was served by Zoe and tilly amazing customer service not been to the chestnuttree for about a year but what a difference food was delicious atmosphere was lovely and relaxed really friendly bar staff our food was tasty carvery 10 out of 10 chicken burger what I had was lovely hot and tasty really enjoyed our time hear today will definitely be back soon well done Zoe and the whole team at the chestnuttree see you all soon

I have been here before and it's lovely so this is a good review, I'm slightly disappointed with the lack of communication for Christmas. I've paid the deposit and asked for the Christmas menu there is still no menu online and I have no idea what's included, if it's served or a buffet ect? I would really like some information, thank you

Had a pleasant couple of hours had a meal and drinks. Chose the carvery there was choice of 3 meats gammon, turkey or beef which were very nice. Good selection of veg piping hot gravy and choice of condiments. We were served at the bar quickly and the staff were very pleasant.

Came for lunch with family, Donna Anna and Lauren were all amazing, very friendly and welcoming all really looked after us and food was superb!

Menu has improved from the last review, they have a dedicated gluten free menu and a dedicated frier for fries. There is also a carvery option. The staff were friendly, we all enjoyed our food and the atmosphere

Fethi (chef on the carvery) was so polite, helpful and friendly. Assisted with my daughters allergies and made a separate cauliflower dish for her! Has to be the best allergy conversation I've ever had - It's nice to speak to someone who immediately knew what my daughter could have without checking with other people or having to read pages and pages of allergy information and tables. He was wonderful to deal with. Donna is an absolute delight - So bubbly and friendly! Many thanks to all!

Popped in after shopping two staff members who dealt with us were brilliant as in friendly and polite. i had fish and chips and can honestly say probably the best fish I've had in a pub stroke restaurant definitely visit again.

After a long gruelling hospital appointment, we called at The Chestnut Tree to relax and unwind. We ordered two carveries and went to collect them, and waited and waited and waited for someone to come and serve us. Three separate members of staff had seen us waiting and called into the kitchen for someone to attend the carvery, still we waited. At this point we decided to get a refund on our meals and leave. This should also have been simple but seemed quite tricky for staff. We have eaten at The Chestnut Tree often before, but won’t be rushing back.

Tillie on the bar was lovely, there was nothing too much trouble for her, she went out of her way to make sure we had everything in we needed!

Absolutely love coming to this place purely for the amazing service that Donna gives, she’s always serving with biggest smile on her face. No ask is too big!!

Food order was wrong for our starters, our fault. We didn't specify no sauce for the chicken tenders, waiting staff fixed no issue. Fab member of staff. The main was completely messed up, my rasta partner ordered plain cheese burger. His meal can out completely wrong and with bacon. I ordered surf and turf medium rare. Arrived with cold mushrooms, medium steak, I ate my starter alone as did my partner, our main was heading the same way and the manger/bar staff member was nowhere to be found, I left without eating my main and we didn't even get the order for my partner either. Would happily pay for the starters as the team member had brilliant customer service skills but will not use again as senior staff members are not up to parr. £60 wasted and was supposed to treat my partner.
