Found myself with an hour to kill so stopped in for lunch. Really friendly staff and my food was delicious. Icing on the cake was the lovely coffee afterwards and the most delicious homemade traybakes! A hidden gem!

Pay a visit for the scones alone!! Best raspberry and white chocolate scone in Belfast. I’ve asked the lovely dark haired girl for the recipe every Friday morning, but she remains tight lipped! Scone and a generous pot of tea for under £4…a steal!

Visited today. Very concerned to lack of compliance with covid 19 regulations. Staff not wearing masks even when serving customers. About half of customers or delivery men not wearing masks on entering or leaving cafe and no signage to advise on mask requirement. No track and trace information obtained. Not good enough, wont be returning.

Una pequeña cafetería agradable con muy buena comida (pasteles de mariposas de café deliciosos), sin embargo, Américano es pobre, no hay fuerza en absoluto.

Popped in for coffee ended up with a mini fry and tea for two. Food is well presented, warm and nicely cooked. Tea is served in a pot with tea leaf holder, excellent, not a tea bag in sight! Always good atmosphere and friendly, worth a visit, or two!

I had been recommended to try this cafe by several people on social media. However, I arrived at the cafe to find a very drab decor. I didn’t let this dissuade me so I ordered a latte and a cherry scone. The coffee was not great, was a bit too milky for my liking, and the scone was awful, rock hard and about 2 cherry’s in it. The staff weren’t too friendly either, not even a thank you from the member of staff behind the till. I certainly won’t be returning to this cafe, the nearest Starbucks will suffice

A drab little square by the name of King's Square in east Belfast has been rejuvenated by the blossoming of The Cherry Orchard. Nothing as vulgar as ornate or pretentiously special, the delight of this restaurant lies in the food and the staff. The food is exemplary in the variety and choice and caters for a range of tastes from the lightest of scones the size of cakes to my favorite, a goats' cheese panini with a fig chutney to die for served with a mixed leaf salad and the chef's creamiest of coleslaws. But what makes the food taste better are the smiles that come with it. not the synthetic plastic smiles of the everyday restaurant, but the genuine friendly aethos that makes you really welcome. It's a great place to hear the snippets of gossip that float around from the clientele while you wait for your coffee, not that you ever have long to wait even when there's a rush on. Get in early for the soup. Fight for the last bowl if need be. Theme nights awesome, not to be missed. Best kept secret, the rhubarb and apple crumble, shh! Or is it the lightest of wheaten bread? Maybe the fluffiest of poached eggs? If you go make a promise to yourself to go back again and again and...

The Cherry Orchard wasn’t our first choice but as the other coffee shop nearby was closed we thought we’d try this establishment. It was really surprisingly good.. we both had sandwiches, mine Brie and bacon on granary bread with chilli jam.. delicious but less chilli jam! My sister had the goats cheese and fig and requested brown bread but it came on granary. My tea didn’t arrive until I reminded the waiting staff about it. Staff are lovely, the surroundings are fine but possibly a little stuffy. Would be happy to go back.. good value at £4.95 for a well filled sandwich!

Nice typical cafe food such as toasties etc. Staff were very helpful. Wheaten bread was delicious. Coffees were big. Unfortunately the air was stale, needed some air freshener or the door opened for a while. Despite that, would recommend for a quick bite to eat.

I only discovered this hidden gem with an online search. We loved it! Quirky wee place with friendly staff and properly good coffee. My husband loved the toasted scone and my caramel square was exactly how I remembered them!

Went for lunch with my wife and son. Staff were super attentive upon arrival and seated within minutes. Drinks ordered and order placed all within 5-10 minutes of being seated. The wife went for the special which was salted chili bites with skin on skinny fries and side salad, son had sausages and chips and I had bacon, brie and red onion marmalade panini with skinny fries coleslaw and side salad. Picture below. Overall total was around £30 which wasn't too bad for two big plates of lunch and coke zero and child's lunch. Highly would recommend The Secret Garden to anyone looking for a high quality meal in the Dundonald area.

Popped in to buy a take away scone When I opened it up the scone wasn’t much deeper than a pancake and felt and tasted very dry and stale I had chosen a fruit scone and all the fruit was distributed round edges leaving the middle completely fruit free. The edges were also overcooked The scone sadly was not enjoyable to eat. Not sure I’d be buying a scone from here again Bit disappointed Perhaps not a freshly baked scone?? Their tray-bakes on the other hand are usually exceptional

Lovely food, took a while to get our food but it was very busy on this day as it's very popular. I would recommend it as the food was lovely.
