Great selection of beers at a fantastic price. First time in years that I have been in but won't be long before I am back

Best bar in Barnsley.Very cheap drinks and no nonsense management.That means any bad behaviour and they are ejected.Great place to watch sport and have a nice pint.Always a pleasure to have a few pints with Darby.

Great spacious place for a drink or food, lovely atmosphere and view over the towns square.

This is one of the good ones.. Great food is served upto 2pm. Real value for money. Great entertainment on a weekend evening, Tv's around the pub for those who like sport, football, horse racing etc... Gets really busy at times, but dosent all good pubs. Its a good start point, or finnish point or both

Lovely roast pork dinner with all the trimmings £4 on the pensioner menu.

The was great, at a very reasonable price. Service is very friendly and helpful. The only criticism was the foul language from quite a few of the tables. I won't be returning with my wife again. It's a shame because the food was very good.

Beautiful. A tender experience for the most die hard of Barnsley fan. Do not accept gold rings as tender. But conveniently located right next to a bookies. All staff are fantastic.

Always been a great place to have a drink or a bit to eat during the day. Great to watch sports, racing etc as there's loads of TV's/Big Screens. Plenty to choose from in draft and bottles and everything is good value. Staff are excellent and all in all make it a fantastic atmosphere.

Honestly nothing to much to say about this place its ok only thing the out side heater wasnt working to well and took way to long to get a drink

Got nothing bad to say, can get really busy and is popular with football fans, however the staff are more than capable of handling the busy spells

The food is lovely all homemade, the drinks a cheap too.

I had braised steak peas mash potatoes followed by apple crumble and custard it was delicious. Proper food and cheap too. Service was great too

Was a nice pub but you need to check the toilets as a couple of the doors one wouldnt lock and another didnt have a lock on it and they looked like they hadnt been cleaned paper every where but other then that nice pub

Always head here you wouldn't automatically think it's an Amber Taverns establishment prices give the game away it needs an overhaul tired looking but perennially popular but please give it a proper facelift Amber Taverns or whoever buys you out

Very lively and friendly staff. Extremely helpful and efficient. Food is excellent and at a good price. Portions are of a very good size. Recommend if you want a cheap good standard meal and a cheery atmosphere.

Working in Barnsley on my own. England game was on so wanted to watch. Cheap beer £1.90 for John Smiths. Good craic with the locals. Friendly bar staff. Happy days!

Nice to see all the kids from Rockley Mount have a safe space in the tarn. Like a parody from a C4 sitcom. Sunday must be aggressive racists night or special on drinks, give me strength. No leadership from management who fuel the fire by keeping the drinks flowing rather than ejecting thugs. Glad I moved away.
