My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Cheneston’s Restaurant in the Milestone Hotel, and the experience was delightful. From the moment we entered the hotel, we were enveloped in a traditional British elegance, exuding old-world charm and sophistication. This wasn’t just about luxury; it was about history and character, captured in a historic building with carefully preserved decor. As a smaller, independent hotel, the Milestone offers a unique, authentic feel that is both refined and welcoming. The restaurant mirrored this ambiance—traditional and high-end, yet cozy and inviting. The service was impeccable, meeting the high standards of a five-star establishment. The food was understated yet exceptional, focusing on quality ingredients and execution. We started with grilled tiger prawns, with Southeast Asian flavors and a South African twist. The prawns were perfectly grilled, with a smoky flavor. The highlight for me was the Grilled Pork Tomahawk. Although unassuming in appearance, the pork was tender, rich, and beautifully complemented by the sauce. My wife had the Grilled Dover Sole, delicately flavored with spring onion oil and lemon juice—simple yet satisfying. Overall, Cheneston’s delivered exceptional food and service in a setting that was both luxurious and intimate. We left thoroughly content and highly recommend it for a refined dining experience in London.

We had a truly memorable evening at Chenestons - the service, food and ambience were all 10/10. We felt spoilt and looked after while we were out celebrating a special evening. ‘Old School’ fine dining in the very best sense of the word. We can’t wait to come back to this elegant restaurant.

From the starters, the food experience was impeccable. The service was attentive and refined. The table settings were beautifully arranged in a cozy setting. I am also deeply grateful to the staff who kindly returned my forgotten item. This is certainly the perfect place to enjoy authentic British cuisine and hospitality.

Myself and my husband had an amazing evening sampling the taster menu. It was a lovely venue, with amazing staff, particularly Emma who gave us a romantic arrangement and Paolo gave amazing service. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly special evening. They also gave great catering to myself as a vegetarian and didn't feel I missed out compared to my husband who isn't a vegetarian.

We a group of people, we booked for dinner and pay deposit before we arrived, however, they prepare a set menu only for a few different courses instead of a menu that we can choose ourselves. The restaurant is super tiny, I think the chef is not enough, they serve food so slow, we've only order two starters and steak, takes about almost 2 hours. And the price it's not even match the quality.

Great presentation with lots of complementary dishes outside of my orders, including a bread basket with yeast butter and salted butter, a fish cake, and raspberry mousse. I ordered lobster ravioli, short rib beef, mashed potatoes, and baked cheesecake. I found the gravy for the short rib and mashed potatoes to be too sweet and difficult to stomach, but the rest of the food was incredible. The restaurant is extremely upscale and classy with a vintage, almost Victorian feel to it. It's located within a fancy hotel where you are greeted by butlers and all the staff are in uniforms or suits, so keep that in mind - I'm not sure how kid-friendly this place is, and it leans heavily into classic over modern. I would only go here for very important occasions, perhaps Christmas dinner with the parents or grandparents. Service was incredible - friendly, always on top of everything, and I never had to wait. The dishes came out quickly, with lovely plating. The meal came out to £120 for one, and I think that if it's in your range, it's worth a visit.

The food was incredibly average for the price and the atmosphere was quite stuffy. The service was excellent though.

While waiting for our table at the restaurant area we had a drink at the bar the staff was very helpful and caring we were given nibbles free lovely proffressional staff very cosy bar, The restaurant manager couldn't do more for us we were treated like royalty nothing was two much the food was outstanding very delicious. A huge thank you to him and his professional staff . Will definitely return .

Restaurante muito bom. A entrada de seleção de pães é incrível e o prato ainda mais. A refeição é bem generosa. Tomei o drink temático dos Picky Blinders que vieram com um gelo em formato de bala. Mto bom! O atendimento também é surpreendente, todos muito educados e dispostos.

I am actually shocked this restaurant does not have more reviews. We came in with a very short notice reservation and were seated immediately. From the moment we arrived until the end of our dinner service the staff made sure we felt special. The restaurant is elegant and beautiful with very tasteful touches. The pianist added extra ambiance to what was already a very elegant evening and even gave up his seat briefly to my little one who was curious about the beautiful sounds he was making. We wanted to impress family that was visiting from overseas and after a visit to Kensington Gardens this was the perfect ending to our day.

Afternoon Tea in the Park Lounge on Friday afternoon was excellent - great selection of sandwiches, the scones were delicious and the cakes fantastic (especially the Mary Poppins' floral hat) - good selection of teas and a nice little glass of bubbly combined with friendly service - highly recommended

Excellent value for pre theatre menu. And then there was the superb bread selection!

This place is amazing! Wonderful service and food! We were blown away and will definitely be back.
