Very bad service and very bad customer service…… never recommend to anyone….

usually amazing and go here all the time for late night food. ordered £30 worth of take out tonight and got home to found a hair in the dhal and cardboard in one of the pakora. very disappointing, waste of money and went to bed hungry

I orderd chucked biryani for takeaway so I came home and I opened it there was smelly chicken inside and rice it’s really disgusting 🤮

Ate here twice. Both times food was disappointing and wasn't fresh. Chicken was hard and dry.

I ordered last night some rice, Tarkha Dhall and some lamb shank thing in oil with garlic and onion. The lamb shank dish (its on the bone in this kind of red oil sauce) was one of the best meals i’ve ever had - eating it with bread was genuinely an incredible culinary experience. It costs £8, but honestly? Get it with a Chapati and you will love it. It changed my life. I wish i knew what it was called. The Tarka Dhal was a good example of a Tarka Dhal, but nothing out of this world like that lamb shank dish. The rice was just rice.

The shop was really really dirty

God it’s most dirty and unhygienic restaurant on the planet I am so surprised it’s still in the business I have rats video in my phone , as they running all over including toilets etc but don’t like to post or did not report to authorities Be careful before eat anything

Almost great value and delicious food!

Been going here for many years, usually on my way home after a night out. It's a no frills cafeteria style place, cheap and quick. I love their chicken balti. Samosas and onion bhajis are good too and during covid I missed their chicken tikka rolls so much I recreated them at home. When I eat in sometimes they bring a free side salad, sometimes not!

Ordered chicken kebab, the chicken was hard and rubbery. Which, made me realise the guy serving me went in the back and brought back a plate of chicken. Which was probably old and he had microwaved before adding it to my nan with salad. Won't be buying from there again.

uk immigration,enforcement service or home office please visit this shop 4pm to 11pm lots of illegal people work in this shop. When i was going there to have some food i talk with one of the staff there. he is indian and he told me he's paying salary is £6 par hours , and it's fully cash in hand.

It is never open in the mornings. I'm here waiting 30 minutes, it's 10:30 and it's not open yet. There is no one in the store.It is completely closed.

This is a nice cosy restaurant. I've been here thrice, and the food has been good, hot and served in ten minutes each time. I've been here for lunchtime or afternoon, so it's been quiet. The people serving have been polite. Food is tasty at a reasonable price in this area (inflation is just unbelievable right now). I had the biryani and the chapli kabab, really satisfying. I recommend this restaurant 😊

Come here usually late evening after gym and food is still fresh and tasting well, vindaloo was v good, prices are good and closing and opening times convenient.

Chatkhara restaurant is very famouse restaurant in tooting London its Halal and their food is awesome special Biryani and mater qeema and most improtant their rates are very reasonable.

Good, tastefull, affoardable Indian food for people on a budget.They could do with a interior design makeover though.

If you like Indian food and want value for money this place is an essential. Superb range of tasty recipes at unbelievably good price. Cross between a café and takeaway. Great place for no frills eating. Staff are friendly and helpful so unless you are playing 'Special posh date night" games go to Chatkhara

First and last time I visit this place. Awful service. Diabolical food. Iv lived in Tooting for 20 years and have sampled most of the wonderful curries on offer but I thought I’d pop into this take away and was met with the most rudest disinterested staff. Reluctance to answer any questions about the curries. Very cold and unfriendly. I almost felt like an inmate in a prison cafeteria the way I was treated. I chose a curry blindly as these guys offered no assurance or help in choosing the right one. Once I paid I said thank you… nothing. I had to say thank you again and all I got in return was a grunt. To make matters worse… the curry turned out to be the worst tasting curry Iv ever had. I tasted it and was knocked back by how off it tasted. Watery consistency with undercooked lamb. Worst curry Iv had hands down. Which is shocking considering how many Iv had in my life. Extremely disappointed. It’s far too competitive a trade round these here parts for this level of service. Won’t be seeing me again. 😒

Benn going there since the 90s never disappointed. Really good food plenty to choose from. It’s not your well decorated interior it’s simple but to the point. Love ❤️it It’s not like these other fancy restaurants where you pay extra for decor chatkhara is simple and delicious.

Kebab roll is juicy love the flavour. Proper big home made samosa and they have Biryani dish etc the naan is good I like the food. The seating is bit cramped but it's cheap and cheerful.

I visited Chattkhara hotel at tooting bec with Friends and had dinner. Service was good. We ordered Kabab. Daal channa, mutton curry, Nihari, roti and Naan. The taste of daal channa and curry was So so but Nihari and Kababs were tasty.

A great late night option if you're looking for something a bit different to the usual fried chicken shops in the evenings. The food was pretty nice and everything was fully Halal which is a great addition too. Slightly disappointed that they ran out of gulab jamun for dessert but understandable considering how late in the evening it was. Staff were very friendly and gave us some great recommendations - I would personally recommend the kebab roll and butter chicken.

Went there for the first time. Will never go again Worst chicken biryani. worst costumer service. They asked where iam from which has nothing to do when you bye a chicken biryani from a restaurant. Then they asked me where iam from originally which I didn’t like when they asked. I just wanted a chicken biryani that’s all. Later I put that chicken biryani in the bin. It tasted not good worst service will never go again

Not happy just been here tonight brought my curry chicken tikka main popadoms Nan bread. Had asked for rice but get all the way home and no rice. Not the usual men in there tonight. Phoned them no help with the problem or resolved the situation except did I ask for rice . Yes I definitely did . I thought they would of stated if that the case . Who buys curry with no rice . Maybe should of taken more notice of the customer instead of talking with each other constantly. Not happy at all with them . Thanks

Since I have shifted my house near to Tooting this is the go to place for me. They have variety of dish which I never tried; always I ordered rotis or biryani. This is pocket friendly + good food.

Ordered two mango lassis for take away and they came with sharp plastic in it. Be aware.

Popped in after a bruising session at the London snooker club, slightly jaded after three and a half pints of Diet P. The staff were friendly and the food excellent - 10/10

Staff Very Dirty. They never waag Hands after Toilet...and then they touch dirty coins and make nan FOR YOU witg dame dirty Hands AVOID.

Food was ok but my biggest disappointment was hospitality. We eat outside for taste and experience. A bad exerprience make food taste bitter since we come out with bitter mouth even after eating sweetest of desert. We think small business always treat their customer with respect that's what make them different then big chains but exceptions occurs like this place. I would not recommend this place since you will come thinking waste of time and mood.

If you dont care to go in and eat hot food then this may not helpful to you. We had to face rudeness which i was surprised. Food taste better when we feel like welcome, satisfied and leave with smile. None of those things were present in the end. Never going back again or ordering take away.

Chicken Jalfrezi with chickpea curry and pilau rice on the side with a couple of freshly made nan bread's to mope up are superb from here!

One of the best Indian/ Pakistani restaurant with affordable prices. The kebab is really among the best. Restaurant is run by very friendly staff. I went there 3 days during my vacation; and had absolutely delicious food. The guy made some chicken tikka, and fresh kebabs...it was heaven! Don't miss this spot during your journey.

Lovely, good food, and polite staff

I'm a regular here since 2008, foods are delicious and not pricey. Lamb nihari and on the bone, briyani, masala fish, tandoori chicken, kebab roll, chicken tikka roll and mixed vegetables curry etc.... to me.... simply fulfilling!

Payed for my order and was waiting for my food. when the food was ready he asked for payment again I told him I payed and he then accused me of lying and kicked me out the shop

Ive been around Tooting for the last three years and pretty much ate at every restaurant and takeaway. I kept seeing this place but my girlfriend was put of by the cafe style appearance. Finally, yesterday and without her knowing :-) I went in and got 4 vegetable dishes and two rice. WOW, what flavours and great portions. Even the rice was full of flavour. Dont be put of by its looks. Not a romantic place to go but great for a takeaway.

Terrible food hygiene. Felt so ill after and if you look round the back of the outside of the building you can see inside their storage/kitchen area on Dafforne Road side and it looks disgusting. They also through rubbish out the back onto the street :(

Very average food. The taste was generic and the meat had no flavor. Wish I had gone to mirch masala or lahore karahi.

AVOID-VERY DIRTY They NEVER wash hands, same staff member will play with his nose, then take ur Dirty Money/CASH. then touch his dirty phonr screen with his already dirty hands, and then Make your Nan/Roti with the dame DIRTY hands. no such thing as Wash ur Hands or o such thing as a SINK/BASIN. AVOID THESE DIRTY SCAMMERS.

Insanely good value for money. The curries here are as good, if not better, as you'll find in many of the places in Tooting but here the value is just outstanding. Delicious food, amazing value and the staff are so warm and friendly.

The worst experience of a takeaway I had as I saw young afghani guy dropping few coins in one of the dishes and digging them with his hand from inside and dish was still kept there to sell as it must be 2-3 kg lamb meat Plus I noticed how nasty they were to delivery drivers coming to pick orders So I will never visit them again Go there at your own risk as cleaning is 0 and 2 young afghani guys have worst attitude

Great food , great value remember deliveroo and just Eat can take anything up to 45% of the meal value , so if you want real value pick up food directly and avoid these middle agents... food is fabulous and great value ...

This small Restaurant provides a much better customer service, delicious dish and a very generous portion than Spice village which is across the road. We initially went to Spice village but letter decided to dine at Chatkhara due to a long cue at spice village. I'm glad we ate at this restaurant because the service, quality of food and their generous portion really exceeded our expectations. Very polite and professional staff. I highly recommend it.

Never had a bad experience here tbh, great quality food at an affordable price one of my faves is the chapli kebab its a must.

I've been in here 3 times and ordered chicken tikka masala and each time the guy just takes a chicken curry at random from the trays mixes in a spice to make it look a little more red and boxes it up. I figure whatever one he picks on any given day is the one going out of date. I wouldn't mind if he just said he wasn't going to be bothered to make chicken tikka masala from the chicken tikka they have then I'd just find out what was in the trays and order from the trays without as many risks for allergies and stuff that come with a total random selection of curry to fill orders.

Lamb samosas were decent enough but nothing else I’ve had here is great.

Fast and friendly service from a team who have been doing the business for a few years. The best thing is that thet recognise abd serve you well prepared food. Good but could be excellent if toilets was checked. It was clean but had to wait ages. Update the place looks much fresher, staff now more friendly and their mutton or lamb dishes are to die for.

Not a good place to be honest im working at the back of the building and you can see mice running around there storage area I will not buy food from there again

Open till late amazing family run

This is the worst takeaway I have ever had,ordered a meal for 2 while sitting and waiting notice the restaurant was full of smoke. One of the chefs had to open the door to let the smoke out,I went up to pay for my food when I returned home to my absolute horror my food (mixed veg)was burnt with burnt plastic. I had to throw it away, what a waste of money, I could still smell the burnt plastic in my bin liner the next day. I did not want to go back and complain as the proprietor seemed to be lacking responsiveness, this restaurant seriously needs to be checked out by food hygiene standards.
