Chan's Chop Suey House in Liverpool

This chippy is really below par these days. I've been going chans for over 30 years. When Alan was there it was always spot on. Uoto about a year after he left the standard was still good but not no more unfortunately. Can't even get chips and curry sauce right

Really disappointed it used to be a good chippy, now I went there after a couple of years, chips not very nice and chop suey special was just piss water in a tray, standards have dropped, won't be going back.

We’ve been going to Chans for years but sadly will not be returning again as both myself and my husband have now come down with food poisoning. We shared 2 meals between us and within 2-3 hrs were both vomiting.

I would hope that as it's a Chinese chippy the meals would be good but the Donner kebabs are shocking! Taste like they've been warmed up from a week ago, not good at all

What has happened to Chans, the quality is very poor, just had Curry rice & chips, the chips where re-heated while there, and uncooked when eating, had to put straight in the bin. Sorry chans... But what has changed to be so bad.

Food was awful first time we had salt n pepper chicken with fried rice, refried the chicken and left the rice as it was hard. Went back today as its local and we overlooked the last time but gave the rice a miss and tried special chow mein. Was awful the sauce really thick and gooey wasn’t hot atall nothing special about it few bits of chewy beef carrots and green beans Salt n pepper su mais we’re ok, nothing special and hardly salt and pepper few bits of onion and a seasoning threw in

Spotlessly clean , nice food, best fish in Liverpool. Only problem which has happened now a few times to me hence me leaving a review. Ordered large order of over £25 last night. Sent my son to pick it up he came home with nothing like what I ordered. No meals just fried rice and chips. Sent him back with it after faffing around and realising they must of given my order to someone else made him wait another 15 mins. Got home with this order and all there apart from giving us gravy instead of curry…. Not good with special fried rice. Didn’t bother sending him back again but not good enough at prices we are getting charged the staff should make sure they get orders right. As I have said it’s happened a few times so that’s why I have left review.

Good fish and chips. Nice curry sauce. Covid-19 distancing in place. You will probably have to wait outside, dress accordingly

Lovely chip shop. I have been coming here for years. It's was previously run by the same family for years, but now it's under new ownership. Standards are still really high and the chips are fantastic - no warm ups even when the doors open at 4.30pm. Highly recommend.

Real lovely food yet to find fault with anything.

Not bad just small portions and not a great deal of flavor in the food. I would guess they dont use MSG.

We ordered a range of dishes for our family night in, due to our usual take away being closed and whilst the food was really nice; portion sizes were particularly small. The fried rice was restaurant standard however, Everything top draw especially the chinese meals. I had chicken chow mein, and hot and sour soup this time spot on

I first visited this takeaway on Chinese New Year. As can be seen from my surname , I have Chinese heritage. I wished the 2 female members of staff HNY in Chinese and didn't receive an acknowledgement for it. I then asked if they could possibly, 'make up' a traditional Chinese meal for me, explaining I was 'half Chinese ' and used some Chinese language to which I was looked at with disdain and a really short curt response of, "so really you mean...." to which I just relied yes, okay. This was because it was absolutely freezing, raining very hard and I was soaked to the skin looking for a takeaway that was open. To say I was very disappointed with the meal is an understatement. This evening my daughter came to visit and we decided to 'give it another gig'. Boy, oh boy... they surpassed themselves this time!!! Tasteless food which had more veg and sauce than anything else. Tough meat and when my daughter phoned to complain, and mentioned that we had never heard of a 'special' without prawns and peas in a meal that should be left to omelettes she again was met with a very, negative attitude and abysmal customer service!! She also mentioned that our family had had 3 takeaways for over 20+ years in her conversation to which the response was "Yeah, well I've been here for 35"!! Wasn't trying to score points hun, obviously know you're pretty rubbish so that was your only 'comeback'!! I should have gone with my gut and avoided it like the plague but, tbh.. I was really Ill with a viral infection and in no mood for cooking. Disgusting food, abysmal attitude and customer Service. I would rather starve!!! Even 1 star is too much. It wouldn't let me post with none!

Good food chip portions are a bit small but quality

The meals were cooked just right and didn't have to wait long for them and there was ample amounts of food. The staff were very helpful adding extra ingredients we asked for and taking the time to explain how each of the dishes on the menu would taste. I would certainly recommend Chan's Chop Suey. 👍👍👍

Si has estado en Aintree para cualquier longitud de tiempo, usted debe saber Chan; han estado sirviendo comida de buena calidad durante años, y así, de forma fiable es siempre caliente y sabrosa, en porciones de tamaño. bien Precios razonables, y su pescado y patatas fritas son los mejores que conozco, son también regularmente resultados dado por la limpieza, que puedes ver si alguna tienda lugar ellos cerrando en la noche! Recomiendo :).

All food was fresh and tasty - cooked to a really good standard, but portion sizes were much smaller than other takeaways.... so if ordering a feast, be sure to order a few extras!! Ps. Spring rolls (whilst tiny) were superb!!

Boss chippie chans called in there few times when I have walked from work they do a boss salt n pepper chicken though it's only on the starter menu it's great loads of pieces of chicken
