I've been a customer for plenty of years and truly like the brand. I myself have been in retail for 20 plus years. On 1/11/25 yesterday, i walked into your location for the first time to pick up some items, but first needed to use the restroom. I headed towards that section, not knowing that employees would need to grant access for use. One person was already waiting. So I went and asked for assistance. As I'm walking back the employee in the picture attached was opening the door , also not knowing that it was not an individual stall I ask the gentleman if I can go first he was like sure by all means.... The employee then turned and told me you are a grown man. Why do you wait last minute as well? Why are you asking to go first. I found that so rude and disrespectful. But I went and proceeded to use the restroom. When I came out, I noticed her and at the moment decided to try and speak to her to tell how i felt she was rude and can make statements with out reason just as I'm trying to speak to her she walks away. I'm like ok no problem. I don't ask, follow, or say anything else to her . I asked an employee on that second floor she had a yellow sweater she was super nice ....if I can speak to a manager. She said sure she was downstairs."" I head downstairs to level 1. I'm just standing quietly and away from the line and customers. All of sudden it's the same employee that made the statements and walked away a few minutes ago ....She comes up to me rude ..like hey hey you want to speak to a manager I'm thrown off because of the way she is speaking and in shock that it's the same employee. So I say yes, and before i can speak, she is telling me if you don't like what i said or how she came about it, that is too bad for me. When finally given the chance to speak, she was still on the walkie-talkie not fully given attention as to why i felt she was wrong. As I explained and said I was respectful and didn't understand why she would say those things ... I noted to her that I was diabetic and that, at times, using the restroom is something that can't be controlled. With no empathy or sense of taking accountability, I just walked away and stated I would report and hopefully speak to her manager. Just don't know how having someone so rude can help your store as she was not willing to try and be accountable or help the situation. Never have I felt so insulted and disregarded. Especially with something that could have been avoided with her not stating anything as she was not even being spoken to from the beginning. The photo is from a customer review previously. I'm glad I was able to find it. I will be reaching out to your location.

Good customer service & selections. Their candles section is way off better than any other overpriced location. They’re currently $2.80 for a good size.

Excellent location, clean, organized, and plethora of merchandise for your needs with staffed security at the door. Friendly, knowledgeable, and service oriented staff. I witnessed two associates go above and beyond to assist an older customer with a speech/hearing impediment. More specifically, while standing in line, these two associates at the register provided paper and a writing utensil to detail what items the customer was looking for. They knew exactly where to guide him to find it. It was heartwarming that they took the time to assist him. He was ahead of me on line and thanked me for my patience, though there was no need. At the register, the two ladies (dressed festively, which I appreciated) also thanked me for waiting patiently while they assisted the customer. Great experience.

Nice selection but I wish they had this selection online. The sale signs are inaccurate, it says a collection is on sale and when I go to buy something from it it's full price. I ask why ad they say their spring stuff isn't on sale yet. Why is there a sign there then? Also, their self-checkout machines suck. They don't let you remove an item, such as one with a misleading price, and they don't let you use your voucher unless you scan it in your email, even though you can see the voucher code RIGHT there, when you press it, it does nothing. Terrible design.

Great place for Arts & Crafts... excellent deals on post Christmas items

Love Michael’s especially this location it has a good selection of most anything one needs for home crafting and party baking needs. You must get there for the multiple weekly sales. Every employee is polite and helpful. If they cannot answer a question then they will find the answer for you! It’s always so fun going into this store vs ordering stuff online from Amazon. I’ve conveniently also done order pickups when I don’t have time to look around. They’re always neatly stocked and organized. With just the cutest stuff. Happy we have this location here 💕

This is a really big prime Michaels but it's not as stocked as a lot of smaller Michaels. It's ok, I'm just really happy they didn't close this one down because I would need to drive to Queens to get stuff

Michael's is a great store for arts and crafts finds. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it's very affordable

I went there looking for a basket to make a gift basket. They said they didn't sell them, but I saw them online. It didn't say online only

This place doesn’t sell fabric by the yard. I was surprised when the employee told me they only have yarns. The only fabric you can find are very small precut ones that are not even a yard. So disappointed. A trip wasted.

I traveled from the gateway center location only to realize that the location was permanantly closed. I then traveled to the location downtoqn Brooklyn and they didn't anything that I'd truly wanted such as the colored chocolate melts and the food spray. Service was very slow, employees were not attentive.

This is a good store with a good selection and usually friendly and skilled employees. My pick up was not so pleasant today unfortunately. I called for the service person who appeared relatively promptly but decided to help the male guy who just comes instead of he. Assuming I will be next I’m not saying anything. Next thing that happens another woman comes in, joins me in the waiting line. About two minutes later another guy comes in. As the service person 🧍 s finished with the first customer who came into the store, he directly goes to the man that just came in naresh of helping me and the other woman who came in much earlier. As I pointed it out the service person became almost combative. It’s not Michael’s fault, but this kind of bias and bro culture that women have to experience constantly doesn’t provide a very pleasant shopping experience!

Michaels is the best place to be. They have literally all the goods thats needed. Love coming to Michaels for my well needed items such as embroidery needles, frames, canvas, seasonal items, crayola goods etc. Can get busy but staff is always helpful and friendly at times.

I recently visited this location for a framing job, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Drew was an absolute superstar! He had a fantastic attitude, was incredibly knowledgeable, and demonstrated a great deal of patience throughout the process. Even though I was short on time, Drew took the time to walk me through all my options in detail, ultimately helping me find the perfect solution for my needs. The final result exceeded my expectations—it came out better than I could have imagined! It was such a pleasure to work with someone who delivers exceptional customer service. Highly recommend!

Needed help locating an in-stock item that wasn’t where it was supposed to be. Drew in framing was incredibly helpful, as was another staff member whose name I didn’t catch. Pro tip: they have more staff after 1pm. Earlier in the day it can feel like a bit of a ghost town.

It is one of my favorite places for crafts, in my case to buy items for embroidery, crochet, this place is spacious, but I was surprised that it had little variety of items for crochet!

Such a big store and they carry alot of art and craft supplies. Also have sales and coupons .

Found the frames I was looking for and they were on sale. Buy one get one free is a great deal! Michael's has everything neatly displayed and almost always in stock.

I entered on a from Palates the store was partially empty no staff to help and the once to help were clueless about the items on the floor.

Good supplies for crafts, painting and drawing. I did not see anything for sculpting. Perhaps they carry clay, but I didn't see any supplies for stone carving. None of the isles are labeled nor numbered. Clerk sent me to "isle 62 or maybe 64", he said, but they are not numbered. I walked all around upstairs before I found what I needed. Anyway, it's good for a neighborhood spot.

For me Always on point. Always helpful a wide range of deals and good finds. And the sales on the Canvases also help out a lot.

Close to home, and everyone is so helpful. Even if they can't help, they will find another attendant who can. They are always mindful of long lines. Last but not least, they mostly likely have what I need in stock. Simply put, if you live or shop in the area, this is your Michael's!

So awkward to see all the gel pens are locked and you have to have someone to grab them for you and bring them to the cashier. Not an artist friendly art shop :(

Staff was very nice. I had a very complicated question about their (cricut style) adhesive vinyl. I needed to know what it was made out of and if it was safe for my child. I had a woman really take her time trying to help me. She called several people including the manager to see if she could provide an answer for me. They couldn't really answer my questions but I still have to say they did a terrific job. It was a little hard to find pricing on somethings. Some areas of the store seemed a little out of order. But in arts and crafts stores like these you always run into these types of issues.

Was able to get what I needed. Cashier was very helpful as he applied my duscounts.

BE AWARE. They use exploitive labor practices in occupied land with extremely poor environmental standards. Avoid if you can and patronize local mom and pop arts and craft stores.

Love this store theyvalways have what I need for good prices. Staff is only friendly and helpful. The store is always well organized so it is easy to find items.

This place is AMAZING! It has 2 floors and you can either take the stairs or the elevator to go to the 2nd floor. They have practically every thing that you can think of, to paint, craft, DIY projects or anything else that you can think of, with all of the things that they have in this store. It's also well stocked and the prices are affordable.

Trip to Michaels was lovely, short walk from transport, (B52, B25,B38,B62, as well as 2,3,4 and 5 train from Borough Hall Station) Micheal's has 3 new self check out registers. Store was fully stocked for Valentine's Day. Go Visit!

Michaels has fallen off. The prices are ridiculous and shelves barely stocked. Not my fave craft store. Anything I need is never in stock. Hate the app update. It's more like a market place. The only things they have good going for the consumer are the coupons and rewards program.
