Chanbury's Woodfired Pizza in Teignbridge

We are staying at Finlake and ordered the Spicy Italian pizza and garlic bread for collection. The app was easy to use and the staff were helpful and polite. The order was ready on time and I have to say it’s the best pizza we’ve had! Will definitely be ordering again before we go home.

The pizza and meatballs here are incredible - well worth the money and delivery was quick too. I would travel for miles to eat here

The food was fantastic 🍕👍👍nachos are my favourite. The lovely lady who served me had a smile across her face and was very kind and accommodating to me. However the overall atmosphere, particularly from the back portion of the room seemed to have a bad not-so-smily attitude. I also saw some strange looks given to the serving side of the room. I suggest doing an anonymous, employee happiness and improvement survey. I will be back when I am next in Devon. Thank you a lot

Ordered an Hawaiian pizza and a pepperoni pizza the Hawaiian had only sauce and a few bits of pineapple and the pepperoni had some sauce and a few pepperoni on it there was nothing else so will not be ordering ever again that cost me £26 not worth it

Wow, the food tonight was amazing, the Halloubee pizza I would say is the tastiest pizza we've ever had! The.potatoe tots were delicious as always! Thank you we are stuffed! X

We used Chanburys pizza for our wedding in Cornwall last month. Highly recommend. Good communication, pizzas tasted amazing (including the gluten free ones!) lots of the guests commented on how nice the pizzas were and what a great idea it was to have a pizza van at the wedding. 100% recommend.

Hi, I tried your Woodfired Wednesday Pizza offer last night for the first time. I was served by a very polite lady and the smell inside the shop was really nice. I had 2 plant based pizzas: tomato base, vegan sheese, mushroom, olives, sweetcorn and red onion.I was impressed with the dough (nicely cooked and non greasy) and the fresh ingredients were mostly in good quantity and well distributed. The overall taste was definitely worth returning for. I was impressed by the speed at which everything was put together too. Nevertheless, my experience was disappointing in terms of the fact that there was no oregano or basil on my pizza. I had assumed herbs would be added automatically, and wasn't made aware that I would have to specify wanting these added. Don't know if this is the norm? I later noticed that not all your pizza range have these herbs added, and that makes sense depending on the flavours. I would have liked to have been offered this option , as I collected and was too tired to return to rectify things. If I had had herbs offered and added this would be a 5 star review. Also, in future, if I wanted a lower sheese to veg ratio ie less sheese and extra mushroom for eg would that be something you could accommodate? Though I enjoy sheese as a plant based eater, it can have a more overpowering flavour than regular cheese ( that non plant based eaters are not always aware of), hence my question. Perfect rustic pizza, the meatballs and pasta are beautiful with a whole cheesy garlic bread pizza, amazing portions for the price, quick delivery and friendly staff. Best Italian I’ve had in Devon, hands down.

Food never arrived. Phone to clarify twice and told the second time it was too late for them to cook more.

Reasonable pizza - bought for me so didn't see the price. But it did take on the smell of the box, I think they need to resource their cardboard.

Fantastic pizza. Spotted in passing when first driving thru the town so ordered for pickup the following night. Something went a bit wonky with the order system but the team were quick to resolve and had the order ready quick sharp. Whole family loved the pizza as well as the chicken strips and garlic bread. Highly recommend the When in Rome pizza. Great local find and fantastic staff.

Chanbury's pizzas are fantastic! The team catered our wedding recently. The pizza was a huge hit with our guests - one even said it was the best pizza they have ever had! - and the gluten free ones were very well reviewed too. The whole operation was very smooth and professional, from our first communications and free samples to the day itself, and their set up worked perfectly with the relaxed vibe we were aiming for. Would definitely recommend them for events, and the pizza is excellent!

Ordered margarita pizza, no mozzarella just cheap fake cheese. Cold and nasty quality. Wouldn’t recommend. I’ve ordered twice now and each time disappointed. Waste of my money, such a shame and won’t go there again.

We had them as outside catering for a 60th party at the house we were renting at Halwell. From start to finish they have been brilliant. Every person we had with us (20+) enjoyed every aspect of the food served, the gluten free pizza's were described by one of our guests as 'the best they had ever had'. Can't thank Chantelle, Peter etc. enough for such a brilliant service. Would highly recommend.

This is our go to pizza delivery place now ever since we discovered it a year ago. We order for delivery and the website is easy to place the order- the meal deals are good value.But most importantly the pizza is amazing!! By far the best we have had. Always fresh and quality ingredients.Each pizza combo is well put together and delicious and the MYO is a good way to try in unique toppings! Delivery is always fast and delivered when they say it be , always 5⭐️everytime!

Brilliant! We ordered on the M5 for collection, everything was ready when we arrived. Absolutely delicious stonebaked pizzas, with a lovely range of meat/vegetarian toppings. Recommend the smoked goats cheese!

Stopped by for some take away pizzas. Had a good chat with staff while waiting, and only took 5 mins for the pizzas to be ready in the woodfire ovens! Pizzas were delicious and fair priced. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff. Delicious fully loaded veggie pizza which was brought to the car. Didn't wait too long. Was going to order online but couldn't get my head round which toppings were included so just went in and ordered.

Not really worth the wait. Ordered through their own app. Called after waiting 30 minutes from chosen delivery time/1 hour after ordering on the app and I was told our order was on the way. Waited another 30 minutes, was about to call and then received a phone call from them to say there had been an error and our order was missed but did we still want it because it had been 2 hours since it had come through. No apology and when I asked why we were told it was the way, simply said they didn’t know. I told them we still wanted the order if they could get it to us quickly. Eventually turned up 2 and half hours after ordering. Wouldn’t have minded as much if this wasn’t the first time our order had turned up late and if we hadn’t been lied to about the order being on the way. The pizza’s are nice but unfortunately the delivery service is unreliable.

Nice pizzas, however they were not very seasoned. Needing salt n pepper n less herbs. The cheesy garlic bread was unfortunately cold when it arrived … sad because it’s so thin it was just like eating cold soggy greasy bread. The cookie dough was such a shock to see it’s of a very small size…just fitted in the palm of the hand 👎🏻 NO good if wanted to share

Not just good pizza, but life changing.

By far the best pizza we have ever eaten. We have had from here a few times and it is by far the most amazing pizza. Their meatballs are also delicious. Honestly if you don't like their food then it's not their food that's the issue it's definitely your pallet. If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would.

The best pizza I’ve ever had….simple as that. The ordering was simple and it was delivered to my door about 15 minutes later. Being a wood fired cooking process the base had that lovely look about it it commercial ovens can’t give. It was thin, crispy and JUST right. The toppings were SO good; I chose a “When in Rome” pizza with a few extra toppings and my mouth is now tingling as I hoped. I will be ordering on a regular basis. MANY thanks 😊

Such a shame had neard some good things about this place. Cold cold COLD pizza. We live 5.3 miles away and collected the pizzas, about 10 minute drive and the pizzas were stone cold. They were given to me from one of the black bags so don't know when they were made.wont be going back for sure.

We have tried the food before and it is ok but we have currently been waiting for over 2 hours for our food and it still hasn't arrived which just isn't acceptable. We ordered at 5:55pm and it is now 8:02pm and no food has arrived. We phoned at half 7 to be told it would be 20 minutes and then phoned at 7:55 to be told it's only just leaving so we will see what time it actually arrives? It is fair to say we won't be ordering again!!

Went there twice while on a week's holiday in the area. Awesome pizzas and friendly staff.

I gave the Rosa margarita ago, and wanted it without cheddar but was told they have the cheese mixed already. So I ordered just to try and it was OK.I thought that being as its cooked in a wood fired oven the mozzarella would be fresh but ended up with a grated packet mix so it seems. Shame as I was expecting a little more.

Every time we get pizza from Chanbury's it's absolutely spot on. The pizza dough is light and tasty and the toppings appear of the highest quality. The service is always great as well. Consistently fantastic.

Staying in Devon for a holiday with my partner. Wanted a cheeky pizza night and this was the one we went for. The reviews are justified, the pizzas and the sides were amazing. It was a 15 minute drive from our get away but we'll certainly be doing it again when we stay next year. Highly recommend!

Finally a pizzeria in Newton Abbot making them as they should be. Thin, crispy and wood fired. This is the ONLY pizza in Newton that you should consider. They're fantastic!

Amazing pizzas and great service!

In the area after camping in Dartmoor Park. Famished with a long drive ahead and thought I'd give Chanbury's a try (always prefer to support local businesses rather than a chain). Service was polite and attentive, food was delicious, fresh and filling. Not to mention reasonably priced. Top notch! K

Ordered two pizzas and two desserts. Drove 15 minutes to collect them but on arriving home discovered one of the pizzas was wrong. The cookie dough dessert was tasty but VERY small. Found it all well overpriced for what you get. Disappointing.

The best thing about 2020 was finding these pizzas. Really recommend supporting this local small business as the pizzas are amazing. A family favourite is the ham hock and pickle one!
