Recommended this place off a local whilst working away. Choice of menu was excellent, food was very good, as was the service. Beer was decent and all with very nice atmosphere. Definitely be coming back.

I am working in the area and this place was recommended. Needed to get food before a meeting so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm glad I did, the food was amazing, the service friendly and the atmosphere good. I had nachos in the end but I was spoilt for choice. There were some good veggie options too. Definitely recommend and I hope I get sent to the area for work again just so I can come back here!

Fantastic sports bar with TV’s everywhere ensuring you can always be in a spot where you can see a TV. A lovely designed bar with friendly staff and great choice of drinks. The atmosphere here is great, I would highly recommend visiting this bar with your friends!

Im not a one for eating a great deal and was fuming when i ask for a kids meal and got charged an extra 1.50 i really think this is wrong i can only eat a little cupple wks ago we were here i got a meal even though it was nice i couldnt eat it all as lik i say i jist eat a bit and get full so just because i wanted a small meal i got charged more i think this is so out of order and may i say you realllly need to change the frys taistless and hard

Didn't try the food but great atmosphere and friendly staff would recommend it 😊 hard to give a full review short visit but from what I saw lovely place.

Supposed to be family friendly, if that’s the case don’t expect kids to be sat still and not touching things on display. Girl serving told my son not to touch one of the decorations on display, he’s 4. What do you expect, then when blowing up balloons and he asked for one she said no 🤣 it’s a balloon. Food was average, couple of bits of chicken in the burrito and the rest was just rice. Not worth the money.

Friendly place. Food was served quickly and generous portions. Seperate gluten-free menu, so good to eat safely. Heads up, it is a loud friendly bar that serves food. Not a bad thing, but be aware 😊

This isn't our first visit here. And the food is always delicious but tonight wow, I had Kiev pizza and it was absolutely amazing. I've never had a bad meal yet from here and highly recommended the food

Champs is a sports bar with lovely decor, nice cold drinks, but the atmosphere was non-existent, the servers just doing a job, lots of babies crying, etc, but we'd likely return. It is basic, not memorable imo

Great atmosphere, the food is always nice a bit over priced as are the drinks. Staff seem friendly enough most of the time, but always seem to congregate behind the food till and sometimes seem to be put out when they have to leave the gathering to serve at the bar and was also stated by other customers waiting to be served. Doorman was very rude and unapproachable, again as noted by other customers totally over the top for this type of bar, walking around staring at customers who were simply enjoying the music was very intimidating esp when there were children around, looked like he wanted to start a fight himself. The girl who was in charge on that particular day/night was very professional think her name was Hollie (forgive the spelling) couldn't have been more helpful 10/10 and very well spoken a credit to Champs. Overall well worth a visit but be prepared to get a shock next day when looking at your bank balance.

Arrived for tea Friday afternoon of the Bank Holiday, first impressions good , found a table and ordered food came fairly quickly was nice tasty spot on , only fault is the music is blarring trying to have a family meal and talk is difficult when you have this droning on bang bang bang

The food we ordered was absolutely spot on, but after you have spent over £80 and then have the security come over and ask you to keep your child in his seat is a little condescending. He is 2 year old and I really thought this was a family pub during the day! Shame but I won’t be going back, especially when you have staff playing on the bandit too!

Estuve alojado cerca durante varios días y acudí a comer todos ellos. Local grande y muy agradable con muchas mesas. Servicio rápido y staff agradable. Cuentan con parking. En cuanto a la comida, raciones abundantes a buen precio y de rico sabor. Tienen multitud de opciones en su carta y todas están ricas. La opción de hacer upgrade a las patatas fritas me encantó. Sin duda, una opción recomendable si estás por la zona.

We used to come here all the time for food as it was amazing prices and delicious food with amazing service. Tonight we had the worst experience ever and will not be returning at all. Ordered peppered chicken (which used to come with peppercorn sauce) to have a burned chicken breast with cheese on the top. No sauce at all. I couldn’t even complain as not a single server asked us how the food was, the one girl that served us when I asked for salt abruptly replied “it’s in the pot” I went it’s not I’ve emptied it looking and she went and physically looked herself assuming I was lying. £7.95 for a slither of chocolate cake aswell, this is sheer greed from the owners. The cake is £3 in B&M bargains. Shame, this place used to be a cracking place for food but unfortunately wont be returning.

What a waste. Our first time visiting this restaurant. We walked in and asked do we sit anywhere, they said yes. We found a table and sat down down. On the table is the table number with a QR code to order, it doesn't work. We waited and waited and no one stopped at our table. By the bar, we saw a sign that said order here. We walked up and asked is this where we order our food if seated in the dining room, they said yes. We ordered the pizza special with potato skins and a soda. We received our food and it were disappointed. The Margherita pizza wasn't good at all. The cheese was chewy, the red sauce had no flavor and the crust wasn't cooked throughly. The soda was mostly carbonated water. Save yourself some aggravation and go to the carvery place across the street, better food at the same price.

Perhaps you need to be a local to fully appreciate this place. Since it was my first visit I wasn't aware it's not like almost every other restaurant. There is no service at the tables. After waiting a while I walked up to the bar and asked how to order as I didn't know I couldn't order from the table. The QR code on the table doesn't work either. I ordered the meat pizza and potato skins. The potatoes were soft and greasy and the pizza would best be described as a reheated frozen box pizza. I'm guessing if you want anything else or another drink you need to walk to the bar again as nobody returned to the table.

Nice but busy spot with a wide choice of meals & drinks to enjoy. Service was excellent from friendly and cheerful staff. Food was well cooked and well presented. A very lively sports bar too, with numerous tv screens to capture all the big sports events. Very enjoyable evening.

Walked 30 mins after tea to have a few pints at Champs, got soaked on the way but arrived at 1945 only to be told the bar was closed! Sign on doors say open until 2100 on Sundays.

Visited with a friend for drinks and lunch. Sat in the beer garden, which was a bit of a sun trap. I have coeliac disease and ordered off the gluten-free menu. The food was lovely, and I wasn't glutoned, so I will definitely return!!

Staying at the Premier Inn so came here for something to eat after work. Stack burger was passable (the chicken fillets were far nicer than the burger itself) and the fries just looked sorry for themselves. Decent pint of Guinness though.

Wonderful place. The food was exceptional, service was very quick and the staff were helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend. I had the twisted champs burger from the specials menu and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. There's lots of parking available on site. The outside area is lovely in the sun and there's TV screens so you can watch the sport even whilst you're outside.

Food and drink ace, service a bit slow and definitely needs some perking up. I’m afraid the serving staff just looked miserable and possibly worked off their feet? 4-5 stars from me if I go back and feel like I’m welcomed. In this instance, I did not.

We were staying nearby and the menu looked good and having visited sports bars all over the world I thought it would be a good choice. How wrong I was! Yes there are lots of screens and when we visited they all had the same cricket match on, which if you were wanting to watch it, you couldn't because the music was so incredibly loud, I've been to nightclubs in the 80s with quieter music than this bar! You order food from one of the very grumpy girls behind the bar who all look like they're doing you a great favour, god forbid the table isn't clean and you ask for it to be wiped. My husband had to take the cloth and wipe the half of it she couldn't reach. I went outside to make a phone call and despite the tables all being numbered I found a girl walking around aimlessly with our order, cue luke warm mediocre food. Suffice it to say we will not be back.

Came here whilst up in Washington with work. Absolutely amazing service and the staff were super friendly. The place is managed so well and we all had a lovely night. Will definitely be returning and recommending to all of my colleagues. Leah from the bar was especially lovely and another blonde girl who’s name I didn’t quite catch. The food was also fantastic with a large selection, and plenty of gluten free options for my friend. Overall 10/10 visit.

I work locally every 2 months and I always eat at Champs..This time I was served by a young lady named Ellie who was very pleasant and friendly. They have a swlection of ales and lagers. The food was fresh and piping hot. They are doing January specials and I tried the Singapore chicken which was excellent. I look forward to eating here again.

Had not been for a while so when suggested by a friend We jumped at the chance and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing we had the Munchie box which was delicious and friends had the burgers which were also delicious. We only waited a short time before the meals were served by a very pleasant member of staff.Overall it was great value for money and would definitely recommend it and I will definitely be back ASAP

The food is delicious, portions are massive! The cookie dough is to die for! It's a sports bar so there's multiple screens on every wall showing sport. Plenty people there with kids though so clearly family friendly. Will visit again

This is the 3rd time we have ate at Champs since the reopening. Everytime the food has been excellent. The staff are following all the Covid regulations perfectly, I must mention Nat, she is very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended if you want tasty food. Pictures are from three visits!

Food was delicious - nothing too flashy but great value for money and tasty. Wide range of menu options and atmosphere inside restaurant is great. Service was good but only downside was that alcoholic drink options were limited (no alcopops like wkd or smirnoff ice) but that could be due to reduced options during coronavirus. Would highly recommend the halloumi sticks to start.

Not too bad, I had burger and their drinks offer which was tasty, I would return when next in the area only downer was it's a sport bar so unfortunately had football on every TV and I like most sports but hate football.

We had lunch and it was really good. I had the little Italy burger. Service was fast and had good covid measures. Not 5* as you could taste the flour in the cookie dough, it wasn't cooked properly, which was a shame as the meal was really good.

What can I say from start to end the food the staff and the measures put into place fantastic, the girls taking your details at the front and let us know they were full to capacity and we could wait outside and they will let.us know 2 minutes later we were shown to a table , food was so easy to order and the social distancing signs on the floor are very clear even the anebriated can decifer them .food and drinks together to the right just drinks to the left . We were told there may be a 45 minute wait for food as they were extremely busy but 25 minutes later it was on the table fresh and piping hot , portion sizes were amazing and the fresh food was beautiful, the waitress brought food and we have to take it from the trays as well as the cuttlery and the sauces .Overall we will be back as very impressed thankyou to all involved in making our visit no stress and comfortable .

We arrived not having booked, this was not as issue as there were ample tables available. Unfortunately the there is no table service, therefore food and drinks have to be ordered at the bar which is disappointing. I opted for a pint of IPA, however this was not available as the pump was not in use. The food was ok, nothing great, a good generous portion though. I opted for a ‘Ring of Fire’ burger, it tasted ok although the burger was a tad over cooked.

I came in happily to watch the Leicester vs villa game and before the door even closed a noise from the bar appeared “Id please” but why you may be asking I never ordered one alcoholic drink and even thought the time was 7:30 they still forced me for id luckily I had my Id due to being 19 years old then still had the indecency to say “ nope that’s not you” anyways carrying on from my bad experience they constantly kept checking up on stuff partially because we are boys but I find that unfair and there was a family on the other side of the restaurant happily eating their food with kids who looked young enough to be my grandkids apologised to everyone but I honestly have to say I will not be attending again and THANK YOU CHAMPS for ruining my attendance to watch the game

Taken here by relatives for the first time. There were some football games scheduled so it was fairly full, lots of screens, but we had comfortable seating. Having no idea how to order anything we were pampered throughout the evening. Well apart from the paying. A somewhat dynamic atmosphere, & different smells as various dishes were delivered to tables near us. The drinks were on the mark & the food was very good. Excellent staff, friendly & efficient.
