Champs American Fried Chicken in Barnet

Staying in the area with family so dropped by here for some halal fried chicken. We bought a mix of chicken pieces, wings and burgers. All beautifully fresh, tasty, well seasoned and cooked to order so nice and hot and crispy! The brother running the place was so kind and polite, really want to say thank you for helping us have a lovely meal.

Champs is a top top chicken shop! They sell some of the nicest and freshest wings. A regularly chicken shop of mine. Both staff members are extremely friendly and helpful, my chicken burger was customised just the way I liked it. If you pass this place I’m looking for some original fried wings, try out this place!

It tasted ok , but I got food poisoning I don’t recommend 2 Stars

Went in there to get some food, guy was friendly however, the chicken gave me food poisoning. I was throwing up for 2 days after I ate it. It was uncooked. Disgraceful.

Chicken is lovely!! Chicken gravy is out of this world!! All the staff are very nice. Except for the black man who has a big time attitude problem

Have to try to understand why this place is soo good !

Came in at 11pm on a Saturday night 1 hour before the local pubs shut. The place was in darkness and closing up and to we couldn't get any food. We went across the road to a kebab shop who were still doing business. Such a shame that local businesses dont seem to want business? Won't return again which is a shame as have been going there for over 20 years. They must be doing something right if they are able to actively turn business away. Good Luck!

Driest chicken I've had. The hot wings were slightly better than the chicken pieces. Really not great.

Turned up as they were about to close and food was still hot and fresh. Quick service and great price. Large portion of chicken and not too oily. Chips were also good. Would highly reccomend.

3.5 stars I think. I had 2 piece chicken and chips, this was my first time ordering from here. Not bad and I would give them another chance. The chips had been double/triple fried, so much so that they were initially nice and crispy. Then as they cooled down they were just difficult to crew. The chicken appeared to be a fresh batch, but I was not sure judging by the texture. The chicken was the standard taste you would expect, decent. I've ordered from places that are consistently much better, hence 3 stars rather than 4.

Average + fresh salad + good selection of drinks - slow service - cash only (had to walk to the cash point up the road) - soggy fries

Great staff and helpful. Always ask if I need a chair, as I'm disabled. Food always piping hot. The chicken gravy is superb, a slightly hot with seasoning just how I like it.

Best chicken shop ive seen in 30 years , chips not soggy proper cooked. Chicken burger was fresh and wings was tasty. Youll have dry hands after you finish your meal. Recommended!

Its what you expect from a fast food chicken place, good food with a quick service, I have only been here a handful of times, but its a place where my family go alot and have alot of positives to say, very local to me, I have only had one problem when coming here and that was that the person serving us didn't seem to understand English very well and gave me the complete wrong order, however did correct himself when I said it was wrong.

Home made style fried chicken always fresh and clean. Regular customer.

This place use to be good, until a bunch of morons took over. They've upped their prices and have terrible customer service skills.

Crack! Best I've had in EN but not in ends. Chicken burger was CRISPY but a little small. Wings were not spicy but very tasty some of the chicken show these days kill you with the amount of chili on their wings. Pieces of chicken were juicy

Chips were under cooked and chicken was pink avoid!!

I thought I had bad experience before, this must be the worst chicken shop I've eaten out from. The customer service is awful, quality is poor, prices are high. No wonder why it's empty. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Would never come back here. Disappointed and disgusted.

I've been visiting this chicken shop on and off since I was a kid. It was a KFC many years ago! The food is good and I have never had food poisoning - what more could you want? Lovely staff, consistent quality and a valued part of East Barnet Village.

Chips were nice but chicken and wing was terrible!

The bargain buckets are really good value, food is generally reasonably fresh when not made to order (top tip would be to try the chicken gravy). Really pleased that they have started delivering to your door.

Chips are great the best i have had in comparison to many other places !
