I was made to feel unsafe here by one or two lecherous male customers, especially one who gawped non-stop and sat there for ages mainly just to do that. He later stalked me upon leaving Chaiwala. My first dining experience at a Chaiwala was completely ruined by a menace looking for the chance to make an assault. I am a modestly dressed (by British standards as this is the UK) middle aged woman with no make-up on, no fancy accessories, yet that is what I was subjected to. I was about to call the police had I not managed to escape the creep. Tables and chairs were covered in crumbs and grease. I had to ask a staff member to clean them twice. After she came over to do so, she went full denial mode claiming (as she wiped away the food crumbs and grease) that there’s no way their surfaces could be dirty as they were cleaning all the time after each customer left. A few customers had already left and they did not clear after them at all. I couldn’t eat in peace due to being gawped at by what appeared to be a youngish Afghan/Asian man. At no point was he asked to leave by the staff. Disgusting.

Food great, good choice good service and good beer, but they did charge £25 for presseco which was very steep. Had a good night.

Awesome service and delicious food! I had such a warm welcome and the prices were really reasonable. It is so close to the busy station and the quality of the food is great!
