Chai Street Indian Street Kitchen in Cardiff

This was an awesome find during our visit to Cardiff. Great Pani Puri and yummy tandoori cauliflower. Service was great and people in the restaurant were super friendly. I would highly recommend this place if in Cardiff.

We didn’t get into another Indian restaurant and we ended up here as it was quite close by, we think they did us a favour as what we got was delicious. . The guy who served us was great by giving us good advice about some of the things on the menu. The Chicken 65 and Spinach and Onion Bhaji were beautiful and mains Grandma’s Chicken Curry and Railway Lamb Curry were equally as delicious. When we are back in Cardiff we will definitely be calling again, couldn’t complain about any of the food it was delicious, not just really spicy food but food with so much flavour. The cocktails were lovely too and not too badly priced which is always a winner. Thankyou again and just wish we had you in N. Ireland.

The food is just delicious! I first went during a business trip and on visiting the city for leisure I just had to return. Good service, great atmosphere.

Fabulous, really tasty meal and drinks. Went for lunch and found food really good, tasty and a varied amount to suit us all. Really good mocktails as well. Excellent vegetarian options. Good pricing and warm and friendly service. Would strongly recommend if you fancy a quick light lunch or a more substantial meal.

We visited this restaurant whilst in Cardiff. We looked at the menu outside and thought we will give it a try. Superb value for money, a wonderful welcome by the staff and we chose to have the lunch special. The food is cooked in the small kitchen at the back of the restaurant and you could smell the aroma whilst the chef was preparing it all. Chicken Biryani was very tasty and plentiful. The kati rolls were also superb and flavoursome. We will definitely go again when we are in Cardiff next

Fantastic find, we loved everything that was available from start to finish, great service, wonderful food, and the atmosphere was just right, we will be back sometime this year when we visit again.

We chose a fantastic selection of delicious starters which everyone delighted in. Superb food, excellent beer and great service! They looked after us excellently well and the atmosphere was relaxed as we left and their evening began!

Beautifully cooked authentic food cooked to order in really attractive and unusually rustic surroundings. Our meals were delicious. The staff were courteous, friendly and welcoming. I’m gluten free and our server kindly talked me through the menu as to what dishes I could eat and what adaptations they could do. We’ll be back! Thank you very much!

Excellent location, friendly staff, amazing choice of Indian cuisine. Freshly prepared food, quick service, reasonably priced and attractive ambience. As this is near Castle, one can easily locate and spend an hour or so.
