Chai Green in Birmingham

I had breakfast here and the food was delicious. The restaurant was very clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. However, the service was quite slow, which was a bit disappointing. I hope this can be improved, as everything else was lovely.

Visited Dec 2024. Always wanted to try this place out and did not disappoint. The ambience here was perfect. We visited on a quiet evening and got served straight away. The food and presentation was 10/10. We got the Chai Green Taali, Chilli Chicken Stir Fry Noodles and a Mango Mocktail. The daal and the two curries we had chosen for the taali were so tasty and flavoursome. The portion of the food was the perfect amount and the Mango Mocktail was the perfect drink to cleanse our palate. Can’t wait to visit again soon. Would love to try out the breakfast menu ☺️

Lovely vibes. Music could make it better. Ahmed was extremely friendly and nice, but they were crowded so be ready to wait to be served. Food is good. We had chat platter, tandoori momos(very desi style, and good) and chai. It was all good

The server Ahmed was really friendly and cooperative. Ordered the chaat platter, the chaat could be better, the tamarind chutney needed more tamarind and tangy flavour but other than that, ordered tandoori momos, mumbai panini and masala fries absolutely loved those :)

AVOID AVOID AVOID. I would give a minus as thats all this business deserves. We visited the restaurant to break our fast, and after fasting all day we thought we were going to enjoy the food we were ordering. Yet, the glasses stunk like they hadn't been washed (and potentially handled with raw chicken), one of the items was wrong and after making them aware they said they would bring out the correct one yet it never arrived. Daal (not sure how you can get daal wrong) but this place managed to. The garlic naan had pieces of garlic just flaking off. Everything else we also had was not as described on the menu. Surprised the fries were actually edible. The icing on the cake was that we ended up with food poisoning the following day. Despite numerous phone calls (over 10 to be precise) there has been no answer from the restaurant, therefore will be reporting this to the FSA. Don't trust any rave reviews you see on tiktok, youtube, Instagram etc. They're most likely paid promotions that probably ended up with food poisoning the next day too!

I am a regular diner at Chai Green. Lovely staff, great atmosphere, and most importantly, great food. I usually have breakfast/brunch here, but recently, I had their lunch menu, which was just as amazing. The French toast is always a winner and the desi breakfast.

Service is a bit slow, it’s very expensive. But I love the decor ambience and the Lahori chana and fresh kulcha paratha was really nice, also love their karak chai.

I visit this branch fairly regular but today experienced horrible welcome, it was busy today , I was happily waiting but the lady who was allocating the tables asked me to leave as they can’t provide me a seat for 1 . Literally ridiculous attitude, I never ordered less than £15-20 at one sitting, but I felt horrible , as they are closing doors on people, there were few more people behind me thinking to leave because what the staff member did, chair green needs to feedback their staff. Will never visit again in this branch.

food is always lovely the service is good but the music is always too loud, not even background noise, just deafening and too noticeable. Just put some nature sounds or something it always has some weird wedding sounding playlist

I have come to Shawarma many times with my kids and this is the first time, my 8 year old daughter commented repeatedly "he has such nice Manners, he is very nice" my waiter was Mustafa. Though he looked tired, he did not fail to be kind and accommodating. We asked to be seated elsewhere and our preference was fulfilled Very happy.

Mustafa was very helpful in our selection of food and was very nice and funny. We ordered dynamite chicken, samosa chat, ninja fries and butter chicken. Everything was amazing including his recommendation for drinks. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking for good asthetic and amazing food and staff.
