CF GRILL & CHILL in Waltham Forest

I visited this place twice firstly on recommendation 1st time underwhelming jerk chicken I had was tough. The prawns I was expecting thrilling prawns when I got home they were bread crumb prawns like you get from Icelands. The only positive was the jerk came with a medley of fresh vegetables and that was the best of a poor meal. So you know to be fair I plucked up the energy to try again and that’s what leads me here. Visited again ordered the jerk chicken but this time had a plan I ask for a breast portion there seem to some debate over this with the person ordering & the cook man. Well when I got home again I can not even tell you what was in the box pushed it around I turned it over I still don’t know what meat it is. Cut it in the hope of identifying still no joy so I tasted a piece it was in some sickly salty sweet sauce i removed and deposited in the bin. For me never again based on the experience with Caribbean take aways in east London I started cooking the taste of home at home. Another restaurant I am afraid that gives a poor impression of Caribbean food & no chance igniting holiday memories with poor offerings like this

Went to Grill & Chill food was amazing. The ambiance was very welcoming and friendly. The staff where friendly and very polite. Came several times to see we had everything we needed. I was impressed by the amount of food we got. Would definitely recommend it.

I have been searching for these flavours for a very long time. We ordered Chicken ( lemon/herb), Lobster and Prawns, Jerk Wrap, Macaroni Cheese, Lamb chops, Chicken, coleslaw, Fried Calamari, everything was perfect, we even had some to take home. The interior design was very nice, it was very clean and tidy. The staff are wonderful and cheerful to help you choose your meal. I travelled all over the world and the flavours are here in London. They have a bar inside and an outside smoking area. Great team work. The food did take some time to arrive but thats because they had a very large takeaway order and a booking before we arrived. We had a few cocktails which were nice, the only let down was the display of it, but it tasted great. Will definitely will return. Thank you Chill& grill
