Ceres Natural Foods in South Somerset

As a newcomer to the area I was delighted to find Ceres who probably have the most warm and welcoming staff in any shop I've been in. A great range of health food shop staples including the refill. Very happy to have found Ceres. Thanks for all your help today :-)

Helpful staff, great range of products

We visited this amazing little shop and couldn't believe how much stock and range of products were inside, definitely one of the best health shops I've been to, such a pleasant surprise and the staff were really friendly and helpful I know if I need anything that I can come here and they will help me find it, they even have a loyalty scheme which is great. Highly recommend and well worth a visit.

Been using this Natural food shop a few years now. Always have what I need. But like a lot of these shops some products come at a price. But the staff are always helpful and friendly which goes along way today. Keep up the good work.

Stocking loads of vegan and gluten free options, it also stocks organic and fairtrade products and a massive range of supplements and herbal remedies, the staff get training on the supplements to be able to give good advice. I went there with anxiety problems and they recommended products that I've been taking for 2 years now. Really lovely place.

Yo uso Cáceres sobre una base regular para comprar un número de diferentes productos. I always buy organic dried fruit here. they also have lots of other products from hair care , skin care , and food. I love the lovington ice cream . the organi red rice is one of my favorite.

Lovely health food shop, with lots of variety of things including their own range. Great place to stock up on herbs and spices. Useful customer noticeboard. Friendly staff.

Really great shop full of varied and interesting food. I would also echo Tony's thoughts regarding the service. I have been served by the same lady on my last two visits and she is sadly lacking in the art of politeness and customer service.

Friendly, helpful staff, who all know what their 'stuff' and will advise/help you with all queries as best they can. Have used this shop five times so far, and never have any problems. Plenty of stock available and the more unusual allergy/raw foods have always been there too. Definitely recommend.

I love this place, so much healthy foods to buy! What else to say? Great for vegetarians (or semi-vegetarians like me), it's just paradise.

Ceres has a nice range of foods and non-foods in a medium-sized space. I like that they sell local and organic fruit and vegetables by weight, and there is always an attractive selection of sale items near the front counter. This is, sadly, an unusual feature in UK shops, but I wish Ceres could include more products in bulk bins, free of plastic packaging. At the moment, they have refills of washing-up and laundry liquid, as well as a great selection of dried herbs and spices, all available in bulk, but I would love to see a bit more in the food department, like oatmeal, dried fruits and nuts, etc, which are currently sold in weighed plastic bags. I should note that when I came in looking to buy something in this format, the staff were very helpful and took the time to weigh out what I needed into a bag I had brought with me. I have never found the staff less than cordial, although occasionally there might be a bit of a queue for service.

A wonderful array of products. However, if you're not one of the'regulars' the atmosphere is one of disdain and arrogance. Recently, after waiting for the assistant to finish a long conversation with a couple, who were obviously part of the clique (she saw me waiting by the way), I made the error of asking if quinoa & amaranth were similar. After being curtly corrected on my pronunciation of quinoa, I was told "they're different". Venturing further I queried whether amaranth was anything like quinoa (brave, I know), to be brushed off with the reply "no, amaranth is different." Having felt like a DIM school child, I decided not to continue my public humiliation and beat a hasty retreat. Shame really, stores such as Ceres are needed in every town and should do more to treat us non-regulars with lesst contempt.

Great for organic and specialist foods. Pricey but the only shop in Yeovil selling such goods. Staff friendly and attentive and know what they are talking about if you need advice.

Have always found this to be a very pleasant store. It is packed with an amazing array of health foods, the staff are most obliging and the whole atmosphere says "You're welcome in and explore". Certainly worth a visit.

Great for finding odd foods even if it is a l little pricey.
