Stopped for a snack and coffee. Staff helpful but food offering limited in the "to go" section. Sandwiches not to my liking so just had a coffee, wife and son had a sandwich which was okay and for such a location reasonably priced. There is a restaurant attached but does not allow dogs. If they did allow dogs instead of the £21 spent would have happily and easily spent over £50. I appreciate that company/council policy's make the no dogs policy but I would suggest that the area outside between the patio doors and barrier have ample space for 4 or 5 tables and would prove your turnover.

Recently took a party of 50 people for lunch at the Cedar Rooms and it was fabulous! From start to finish all of the staff could not have been more helpful or attentive to everyones needs. Ian was great and really helpful when booking and throughout the lunch. We will defiantly be returning! Would highly recommend!

We went specially to this restaurant because me and my family have various food intolerances and they serve gluten and dairy free pizzas! What a treat! We rarely have pizzas because they are of course chock full of gluten and dairy products. The server understood the difference between allergy (acute) and intolerance (chronic) so she asked lots of questions about our needs and what we could and couldn't cope with. These pizzas were delicious, and I highly recommend them! We had the spicy calzone, the margherita and one with chicken and bacon on, I can't remember the exact name. We'll definitely be visiting here again!

Having visited the tea rooms before and being given big bamboo mugs with a tea bag in. On the second visit I took my own cup. Imagine my delight when I visited yesterday and they have cups and saucers, we also had a milk jug and tea pot. My husband had a cream tea and said the scone was lovely. The lady serving us was delightful. I shall definitely visit more often now.

What a gem of a find this place is. After a walk in the Royal Victoria Country Park, we called at the Cedar Rooms cafe for what we thought would be a bit of food and weren’t expecting too much. Well; what a place ! Setting is superb amongst the parkland and woodland. A huge outdoor seating area, a quick serve cafe and a really good restaurant. We chose to sit in and eat in the restaurant. Staff were excellent and welcoming and friendly. The place was spotlessly clean and staff cleared and cleaned tables within seconds of people leaving, which is great to see. I chose a breakfast and Wifey chose a brunch. Food was excellent and if a high quality and far out-strips many so called “excellent home cooked food” a lot of places advertise themselves as serving. Following a plant based diet we so often struggle to find a decent menu to work though. We were very impressed with the quality of the food, it’s taste and flavour. Chef and whole team deserve applause. Well done guys.

Would highly recommend 'The local' from the menu. A goodly portion of pork pies, rich & nutty cheese and tasty slaw. Great piccalilli too.

Absolutely love RVCP and the restaurant and cafe are a lovely addition to the beautiful surroundings. A tad pricey but it’s always busy for the really tasty pizza, scrummy cake and brilliant customer service from very friendly staff. Bring back the teacakes and butter and it would be perfect! Why did they go!? The amazing warm sausage rolls make up for it though.

Nice place, pleasant decor, very nice staff, tea & biscuit also nice. BUT!!--- Awful "Cups" -- Appeared to be made of Bakerlite & they had no handles. Really off putting--wouldn't go to Cedar Rooms again because of this. Get some decent bone china cups!

This is a really good venue now and the food is excellent. We both had pizzas - vegan and a roasted Mediterranean veg. I felt the only thing missing from mine were some black olives just to add a slight tang. It was quiet being mid week and post Christmas/New Year. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The menu is a bit limited but the pizzas are really good.

I’ve just returned from a most delicious Christmas lunch here with friends. The food was delicious, the service was great and the setting just beautiful. How many Christmas lunches can I have before it’s considered TOO many 😂

The best caramel latte I've ever had!! You could actually taste the caramel in it!! The pizzas were amazing 😍 including the gluten free one, plenty of toppings and hubby thought the sourdough base was the best he has had and he has had a lot of pizza!!

We are extremely fortunate to have the Royal Victoria Country Park on our doorstep. It is a regular spot for my wife and a former colleague of mine to take a walk. partners with dodgy knees join them for a coffee .... and maybe a Brunch Crunch - a warm bacon roll with the bacon cooked to your liking! The Cedar Room has recently been revamped and we love the ambience. It is a popular place to visit whenever we have guests and it is always appreciated. The staff are always friendly, helpful and obliging. It is also kept very clean.

Since changing their menu it has gone up market with its menu, not a place to now take children to eat, very limited choice of menu and not a good selection of food like it use to have and not a good selection of children snacks. Went with a family member for lunch, very poor choice, very disappointed and expensive for what we had, so we didnt end up having lunch as no choice, unless you wanted expensive pizza. They now sell alcohol and expensive unnecessary over the top items. Shall not be going again and certainly not a child friendly menu and not a decent adult menu .

'hot' chocolate aka warmish chocolate, Pizzas you guessed it only just warm, Staff seemed to be pretty clueless trying to work out who had ordered what. Won't rush back

Walked to the Cedar Rooms from Hamble for Lunch last Friday. Absolutely loved it! The Smokey Bird Pizzas were terrific washed down with a glass of Prosecco and a Montepulciano. Lovely view into the Park, and the most pleasant and engaging staff, had a long chat with waitress, chef and Manager. We really had a good time, then a walk through the Park and back to Hamble, what's not to like? Reasonably priced. Staggered that the Council aren't giving the place more publicity, come on HCC get the listings out there for the place, it deserves to be a big success!

Had been recommended this Italian by a local for a family birthday. Greeted warmly by restaurant staff, water on arrival, attentive service. Unfortunately we were next to a table that various suited/booted parents dropped 9 of their free-range charges with a handful of timid 'grown-ups' whilst en route to the Club, I suspect. Food was excellent, the staff was amazing dodging these young teenagers leaving chairs untucked in the staff's wake whilst they slammed toilet doors, daring each other to run in the kitchen and generally getting under people's feet. When they did sit down, volume control was clearly not in their gifts. Thought the restaurant staff did an excellent job at trying to make our meal an enjoyable experience despite the crèche like conditions other diners had developed. Would definitely go back but perhaps on a school night when hopefully these youths are not there. The restaurant was far from a let down but the locals certainly were.

We went here for our work Christmas do. We decided to come here as we had such a lovely time last year. Food was incredible and fab service but seriously the DJ needs a bit of a rethink. The final song of the evening was far too depressing. Bearing in mind it was a Christmas evening the music should’ve been a lot more upbeat and some of the good songs were played while everyone was eating.
