Visited here a Saturday night a few weeks ago. Was staying in the area and passed by every day so popped in on way home one evening for a drink. There was something going on outside and we were a bit wary. Went in and ordered drinks sat in a lovely area in comfy armchairs. A young girl very obviously drunk who.had been outside ran in. She was at some.festival earlier or.something. the lady behind the bar was very good ensuring she was looked after, wouldn't let her leave with her also very drunk friends and being driven home was mentioned the the lady in the bar talked her out of it. Her concern was reassuring. She went out with water and Crisps at one point in a bid to sober her up (she hadn't been drinking in there btw). Eventually someone came to collect the young girl. I thought it was all handled very well 👏 stayed for another drink and then it was last orders.

Popped in with friends on the way home as it’s such a great location being by both Catford Stations. Plenty of space, was expecting it to be packed on a Saturday evening but due to the staff behind the bar having a party later in the with a couple of locals, music turned up to the max , staff and locals dancing about, it would put anyone off. Such a shame, not sure which brewery manage the franchise or who managers it but someone needs to have a better oversight on the place, has such potential but seemed to be accommodating a few of their local friends !

Really good. Had a delicious lunch. Burger and chips. Reasonable price, huge portion size, good service. Nice spacious, large interior. Dogs welcomed

Went with my Book Group for our Christmas Meal last Friday night. We had a lovely time and everyone really enjoyed their meals. The menu was varied and interesting. I had the traditional turkey and trimmings, so good, big thick slices of moist and tender turkey, yum. But the best thing was, having spoken in advance to the Chef, I was able to choose gluten free and dairy free options for all 3 courses. And I’m happy to say that there were no unpleasant side effects afterwards, which can so often happen when people only pay lip service to catering for allergies. I’m so happy to have found somewhere I can eat good food with confidence. Thank you Chef.

Its got bad in the last month, we went in on Sunday night, food was bland with limited choice, it looked like people doing drugs in the booth, really really drunk noisy people shouting and swearing in the terrace area. When we told the staff he just shrugged his shoulders and said not his problem, we left and we won't be back, bring back the lad with tattoos he had it under control. Just gone downhill now

Disappointing. I used to love this place and went regularly, when it was run by Antic and afterwards with the new owners. But it has obviously changed hands again and the new people seem determined to lose business. It's still lovely looking decor inside, but looks a bit uncared for. It was freezing cold, the music wasn't very good and the staff looked bored if not outright hostile. The menu was very short indeed and the food so salty it made my teeth itch. Poor quality. No decent beer, football on loads of screens everywhere. Lots of unhappy looking men drinking alone. You get the idea. The manager (I assume) kept smoking directly outside the back door and blowing the smoke inside.

Under Antic this pub was a mecca for real ale and an award winner. Clearly no more. So we did not stay.

New owners have ruined this place, extremely pompous, very rude, and uninviting. Don’t visit. Ninth life 5 mins walk away is 10x better.

Celebrated my wife's birthday here with her mum, dad, siblings families & friends. Really well looked after by Carl and the team. Very relaxed atmosphere even when the football is on and the roasts are really nice!

The Catford Bridge Tavern had a chequered past but under Antic it was regaining former glories. Tonight I ventured in there after a hard week at the office and found to my dismay found they no longer sell draft beer. After being ignored by the bar staff in favour of the regulars I was eventually served and I opted for one of the cold lagers. I thendecided to go crazy and have another as the music was OK and I was relaxing. After paying for my 2nd beer the young girl behind the bar tells me I must move from the bar.all the time I was there without incident. Then who I assumed was the governor told me in no uncertain terms to leave. Awful place. Avoid.

Arrived after long day at work for a nice drink and catch up with clients. From the moment we walked in it felt like we didn't belong. Barmen didn't greet us. Infact from the moment I had to ask for services he didn't say a single word.. Didn't even say the cost of the drinks just took the money and then slapped the change back on the bar and walked away outside for a cigarette. First and LAST time we will be visiting this Pub. Management really need to have a look at the staff. Unless he is the manager then his in the wrong game. Absolutely shocking customer service.

I had planned to meet a friend for dinner but after ordering my first drink and receiving the worst service I have ever experienced in my time in London we decided not to stay and left to find another place to eat. The bar tender was extremely rude and also over charged me. It was very clear the staff here have no customer service skills and made me feel extremely unwelcome. I would urge to avoid this place if you expect a good experience.

Simply best food you’ll find in a 5 mile radius. I live here and fantastic bar and staff . Food is incredible too. If you’re anywhere near go visit the place. Seriously best pork chop meal I’ve ever eaten and extensive standard menu plus weekly specials. Seriously can’t recommend this place enough.

Visited here for a Friday evening, and what an excellent night it proved. The range of refreshment is extensive, the Manager and staff are excellent, and the entertainment was top of the bill. Equally, the food was superb, all in all, it was a magnificent evening.

Ordered food and waited over an hour for it to arrive, I understand it was busy but extra staff would help with the rush, I will not be giving this pub my custom in future. PS. the food was OK.

This pub is actually really good for some drinks with friends, and watching sport. Its reasonably priced and beer always cold and fizzy. Service prompt, staff friendly- one of the best pubs in the area, granted competition is hardly fierce.

The CBT quickly became my local, owing primarily to the warm welcome of the staff. They quickly became friends rather than simply bartenders, cooks, management, etc. It's the sort of place in which one makes friends easily on both sides of the bar.

This is the latest incarnation of the much-storied CBT, the service is poor, food is reasonably good, drinks fairly pricey for this part of town, but the interior is great, light and airy with a small but lovely terrace which catches the evening sun.
