Lovely staff, lovely food, felt really welcome.

I am not one to complain but I was unhappy with their service overall. I booked online 24 hours before and received confirmation. But I was told there was no booking under my name when we arrived. We were asked to seat upstairs where you could smell the sisha coming from the other room. Food was served very late and came cold. Service by the lady was good but disappointed with food and reservation that did not exist.

Food was delicious Manager Omar was super friendly definitely a place to come for good food Service was so fast and the staff was very kind! The food was amazing, truly one of the best meals I’ve had anywhere in the Cardiff 😋

I booked online for a table for 2 a week before and was refused when I entered (although I reconfirmed the booking a day before). The restaurant confirmed they didn’t check their online booking system - was just given a sorry and told I can’t be seated. I can still see they have their online booking system operating so do not book online.

Nice food, got a complimentary soup which was nice of them. Mixed lamb was a good choice ☺️

Absolutely love the food and service here, always super friendly, complementary soup for starter. It's the first place I suggest when friends and family visit, second to none! Highly recommended. The lamb mandi is my personal recommendation for a first dish.

We had a great meal! Service was quick and hospitable… sides were delicious, and the mains of course were seasoned to perfection. As Americans, we appreciated the ice water 😉 Had the best time here in Cardiff! Capped off the night with hot tea - have to check it out if you’re in the area.

We have been coming to this restaurant for the last 2.5 years. We make an appearance between 2/3 times a month. We have never been disappointed with food, hence why we come back. The food has always been 10/10. Staff are fantastic and accommodating.

It’s difficult to find top food quality, quantity and service all in one place like Castello. I tried other shami restaurants but this is the best in Cardiff. The food comes in big portions, freshly made infront of you and the staff and owners are veryy friendly. As an international student this restaurant made me feel like I was back home.

It is an absolute delight. I’ve been to Castello multiple times and it always comes with amazing service and the food is absolutely beautiful. Omar is an incredible host, always very welcoming and hospitable. We had the chicken Al a crème and the salmon al a crème this time around. It was 10/10 as usual! We’ll be back very soon!!

came here for shisha and it was absolutely amazing! the flavour and smoke is perfection and the staff are so welcoming and friendly I can't wait to go back again. I ordered a milkshake as well and it was soo good. the girls who served us and at the till were so accommodating and open, a very well spent evening. 10/10 service and amazing people highly recommend

I give Castello 10/10 for warm friendly attentive service. 10/10 for quality and taste of the lovely charcoal grilled meals. The fresh bread, the dips and sauces and the complimentary soup to start and tea to finish is amazing. The prices are very reasonable also. I highly recommend this restaurant - every visit is consistently excellent.

Out of all the restaurants I’ve dined in Cardiff, Castello is by far the best. The service is second to none. Mario is excellent, he treats you like family. Mimi always has a smile on her face and is terrific. The portion sizes are more than satisfactory and by the time starters are finished, you don’t feel the wait for the mains. Every time I have been, there are no complaints and I always leave with a smile. I honestly think Castello is underrated and doesn’t get enough attention. I would recommend anyone to dine here. Whether you go alone, with a friend, or with your family, Castello will not disappoint!

The staff is SO friendly AND amazing food! I came with friends to Cartiff for a holiday and this was our first choice and we’re so glad we did. Portions are so big and delicious, we’re excited for leftovers!!
